People Toys is a 1974 American slasher film directed by Sean MacGregor and an uncredited David Sheldon and starring Sorrell Booke, Gene Evans, Shelley Morrison, and Leif Garrett, along with Garrett's real-life sister, Dawn Lyn and their mother, Carolyn Stellar. The film follows a group of four sociopathic, homicidal children who, accompanied by a mysterious nun, seek refuge with a number of snobbish vacationers at a lakeside chalet, only to systematically murder them one by one.
The film was re-released theatrically in 1976 under the alternate titles Devil Times Five and The Horrible House on the Hill in both the United States and the United Kingdom, as well as Tantrums in the United Kingdom on home video.
Plot: Five extremely disturbed and sociopathic children escape from their psychiatric transport van and are taken in unwittingly by a group of adults who are on winter vacation at a lodge. The adults treat them like dirt. They don't like it when adults treat them like dirt. No, they don't like that at all.

00:03:59I ask you this in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
00:04:17Amen.
00:04:19For a present and accounted for, everybody else is flat dead.
00:04:24That ain't decent, Brian.
00:04:29My damn!
00:04:35Got me a knife!
00:04:37Can we go now, Hannah?
00:04:40Sister Hannah.
00:04:45Let's go.
00:04:59And now it's time for another special mountain ski report.
00:05:10While the city basks in 76 degrees of sunshine, Big Bear reported 9 feet of snow, with Arrowhead topping out and 11 feet of white powder.
00:05:20Lines are down in some of the areas, especially around Snow Valley.
00:05:24So skiers, if you plan to visit this weekend, bring plenty of warm clothes.
00:05:29And oh yes, the Highway Patrol has set up roadblocks at 3,500 feet.
00:05:34They're checking for snow chains.
00:05:36They will be required.
00:05:37There's a new cold front moving in from the north.
00:05:41Temperatures will drop to 18 degrees above zero tonight in the mountains, reaching a warm, sunny 37 degrees tomorrow by noon.
00:05:49Highway Patrol also advises people in the area to stay put if snowed in.
00:05:54The plows will be working overtime.
00:05:56Stay tuned for another ski report in just 60 short minutes.
00:06:04Hey, wait a minute!
00:06:06You and I'm alive!
00:06:07Get me out!
00:06:13Everybody's pushing.
00:06:16Here.
00:06:18Give me a hand.
00:06:19Hey, I'm jacking.
00:06:20Hey, wait, I'm stuck.
00:06:22This way.
00:06:26You all right?
00:06:29Get your jacking in, it's cold.
00:06:31Let's go.
00:06:33Come on.
00:06:34Come on.
00:06:35Come on.
00:06:42Come on.
00:06:42Come on.
00:08:15Well, sure I'm ready to go to work, Papa Doc. You got a job?
00:08:19You think I'd be where I am if I hadn't kept pushing?
00:08:21That right, Harv?
00:08:22Right, Papa Doc.
00:08:23I was 14 when I first slopped to mop down Copperhaven's cruddy halls.
00:08:27And by the time I was 30, I owned it and 26 more like it.
00:08:32And I didn't even finish high school.
00:08:34Oh, but, uh, if you don't like the noise, stay out of the plant.
00:08:39You're too much invested, darling.
00:08:42All right, let's get to work.
00:08:44Huh?
00:08:45I said, but I don't.
00:08:48Anything I can do to help Papa Doc?
00:08:50I'll let you know, Harv.
00:08:53You know, I'm not a doctor.
00:08:55I got here by hard work and lots of it.
00:08:58But you'd think that a young doctor that was being considered to head up a new complex wouldn't mind putting in a little extra time.
00:09:05Not a doctor.
00:09:06Um, wasn't I supposed to, I mean, wasn't that job promised, uh, I mean, uh, uh, get the check and let's go.
00:09:36Uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh
00:10:06Oh, my God.
00:10:36Oh, my God.
00:11:06Bring the luggage in the house and put the car away.
00:11:23Yes, sir, Papa, Doc.
00:11:30Oh, you devil.
00:11:34Oh, my God.
00:11:35Well, Harvey, you had your chance.
00:11:49And you blew it.
00:11:53I'll talk to him later.
00:11:56Oh, Ralph.
00:11:58Oh, Ralph.
00:11:59Would you take Papa Doc's briefcase?
00:12:05He's already on steady.
00:12:06Oh, okay, Julie.
00:12:07I'll have to get out of these wet clothes.
00:12:12I'll turn the stair light on.
00:12:13Rick.
00:12:14Mm-hmm.
00:12:15Will you take my luggage upstairs for me?
00:12:17Sure.
00:12:18Ralph, can you take lovely's bags up, please?
00:12:24Oh, Ralph.
00:12:25Would you take Papa Doc's briefcase?
00:12:26He's already on steady.
00:12:27Oh, okay, Julie.
00:12:28I'll have to get out of these wet clothes.
00:12:31Oh, well, Ralph.
00:12:32Yeah, Ralph.
00:12:33I'll have to get out of these wet clothes.
00:12:34I'll have to get out of there.
00:12:36Oh, I'll have to get out of there.
00:12:37I'll have to get out of there.
00:12:38Oh, Ralph.
00:12:39Oh, Ralph.
00:12:40Will you take my luggage upstairs for me?
00:12:42Sure.
00:12:43Ralph, can you take Lovely's bags up, please?
00:12:58In the top drawer, Ralph.
00:13:02Ralph.
00:13:05Do you like working for Foppa Top?
00:13:06Here, take this.
00:13:08I don't like when he yells at me.
00:13:11He is always yelling at me.
00:13:13Ralph.
00:13:14I don't yell at you.
00:13:16Do you like me, Ralph?
00:13:18You're a nice lady.
00:13:25Well, you're a nice lady.
00:13:31Ralph, put that down.
00:13:33And come here.
00:13:35Come here.
00:13:37Brush my hair.
00:13:42Do you like that?
00:13:44You got hair like my rabbit.
00:13:48Fine.
00:13:49Give me the brush, Ralph.
00:13:52Come here.
00:13:53Rub my feet.
00:13:55Rub my feet.
00:13:56Come on.
00:13:57You're tired.
00:13:58Take my shoes off.
00:13:59Ralph, take my shoes off.
00:14:01Take them off.
00:14:03Take them off.
00:14:04Now rub my feet.
00:14:05Rub my feet.
00:14:06Ralph, you're very strong, aren't you?
00:14:09I'm very strong.
00:14:11I chopped all the wood for Pappadock.
00:14:13And I put it all the way up there.
00:14:14Ralph.
00:14:15Show me.
00:14:16Pick me up.
00:14:17Pick me up.
00:14:19I don't want to hurt you.
00:14:20You won't hurt me.
00:14:21Pick me up.
00:14:22Come on.
00:14:23Pick me up.
00:14:24Pick me up.
00:14:25Pick me up.
00:14:28Oh, yes.
00:14:29You are strong.
00:14:30Now put me down.
00:14:31Put me down on the bed, Ralph.
00:14:33On the bed?
00:14:34On the bed, Ralph.
00:14:36On the bed.
00:14:37That's it.
00:14:40Ralph.
00:14:41Come here.
00:14:42Come here.
00:14:43Lie down.
00:14:44Come here.
00:14:48Ralph, have you ever had a woman?
00:14:54I didn't hear what you said, lovely.
00:14:56Have you ever had a woman?
00:15:00Well, I had a mother and two sisters, but they got squished.
00:15:04In a bus.
00:15:06Have you ever wanted to make love to a woman?
00:15:08To touch a woman?
00:15:11Make love.
00:15:14Stand up.
00:15:15Stand up.
00:15:22Take your shirt off.
00:15:25Take your shirt off.
00:15:34I didn't want it.
00:15:40Pull your pants down.
00:15:45Come on.
00:15:46Pull your pants down.
00:15:50Come on.
00:15:50Pull down your pants.
00:15:52Now what would you like to do?
00:16:05I have to feed my rabbits?
00:16:07You'd like to feed your rabbits?
00:16:09What's going on in here?
00:16:24Nothing.
00:16:25Ralph's just helping me unpack.
00:16:30Ralph, um, pull up your pants and go downstairs.
00:16:33Ralph.
00:16:42And close the door behind you.
00:16:43Oh, I'll catch you.
00:16:49Now what the hell's going on in here?
00:16:52Okay, um, having fun.
00:16:55You don't care what you do or who you do it to or what place or what time do you?
00:17:01There's really very little difference between you and I.
00:17:04I'm doing my thing and you're doing yours.
00:17:08I love Rick and then we're probably going to be married.
00:17:11Oh, that's nice.
00:17:13You mean you balled him and you still want to marry him?
00:17:16What do you mean?
00:17:17I mean that I've had him before you and I can have him anytime I want.
00:17:29You bitch.
00:17:47Oh.
00:18:12Oh.
00:18:13What are you girls doing, auditioning for the Olympics?
00:18:27Oh, we were just having a little fun.
00:18:32The fun?
00:18:34Whatever turns you on, honey.
00:18:43You know, people are scary.
00:18:49They're not like us.
00:18:51They play scary games.
00:18:55They take off your clothes and put down your pants and sit down on the bed.
00:19:02Crazy games.
00:19:05I think Julie's mad at me.
00:19:09I don't think I can go anymore.
00:19:12Hey, troops, there's a house up ahead.
00:19:15Can't we rest for a while?
00:19:17Negative. Keep marching.
00:19:19I think we're being followed.
00:19:21Didn't anybody check the buses if he was alive?
00:19:24Oh, don't let him get us. I can't go back there.
00:19:27Leave it to me. He'll never get us again.
00:19:30Now, I'm going to put you in here together.
00:19:33And you play.
00:19:35That's good.
00:19:37And I won't forget you.
00:19:39I'll come back and feed you.
00:19:40But I've got to take care of all those people.
00:19:48I've got to get them.
00:19:50I've got to catch them.
00:19:53I've got to stop them.
00:19:54I've got to make them ham sandwiches tonight.
00:19:59That's easy.
00:20:01But Papa Doc wants chicken tomorrow night.
00:20:05And I made the chicken bad last night.
00:20:08Bad last time because I put too many spices.
00:20:11I know what I'll do.
00:20:16I'll only put two spices.
00:20:20And you'll never know how much I put in.
00:20:26Footprints.
00:20:28Brian!
00:20:30They must have got me that house.
00:20:32Brian!
00:20:35Brian!
00:20:39I've got to stop them.
00:20:41I've got to stop them.
00:20:47Won't they hear us upstairs?
00:20:49Negative.
00:20:50This house is too well built.
00:20:52Besides, I just got at the back of the house before we came down here.
00:20:55How do you think he followed us?
00:20:57Anybody can follow for instance.
00:20:59No dummy.
00:21:00Affirmative.
00:21:01I just checked the door.
00:21:03He's getting closer.
00:21:04Are you sure he won't take us back?
00:21:07We're never going back there.
00:21:09No.
00:21:11No.
00:21:12We're never going back.
00:21:34No.
00:21:35Oh, my God.
00:22:05Oh, my God.
00:22:35Oh, my God.
00:23:05Oh, my God.
00:23:35Oh, my God.
00:24:05Oh, my God.
00:24:35Oh, my God.
00:25:05Oh, my God.
00:25:35Oh, my God.
00:26:05I want to go to sleep.
00:26:07We'd better get rid of it first.
00:26:35Good night, Cap'n.
00:26:38What a lousy day, David.
00:26:46Did you know your father was a pain in the ass?
00:26:49Why do you?
00:26:50Why do you keep putting him down?
00:26:52Why do you keep putting him down?
00:26:53Because he has this huge place up here.
00:26:56All he talks about is how much he paid for it.
00:26:59And when he comes up here, when he comes up here, if you'd hear him out, and let him finish, and let him finish, and let him finish, and let him finish instead of walking out on him, every time he tries to talk to you, then maybe we could have the rest of the weekend to ourselves.
00:27:17I'll talk to him.
00:27:19I'll talk to him tomorrow.
00:27:23Why don't we get away from everybody tomorrow and go sledding or something?
00:27:29Well, not a chance for this mob.
00:27:35They'd follow us for sure.
00:27:37Not lovely.
00:27:39She's the indoor type.
00:27:41My baby's jealous.
00:27:53Sure.
00:27:56Have you ever laid her?
00:28:00What do you think?
00:28:02Now, don't play games with me.
00:28:03Just give me an answer.
00:28:05Have you ever slept with her?
00:28:08Of course I've slept with her, hasn't anyone?
00:28:14Oh.
00:28:16You, you, too.
00:28:19I'm going to get out.
00:28:22Oh.
00:28:23Oh!
00:28:53Oh!
00:28:55Oh!
00:28:57Oh!
00:28:59Box.
00:29:01Oh!
00:29:03Oh!
00:29:09Oh!
00:29:11Oh!
00:29:13Oh!
00:29:15Oh!
00:29:17Oh!
00:29:19Oh!
00:29:21Oh!
00:29:23Oh!
00:29:25Oh!
00:29:27Oh!
00:29:29Oh!
00:29:31Oh!
00:29:33Oh!
00:29:35Oh!
00:29:37Oh!
00:29:39Oh!
00:29:41Oh!
00:29:43Oh!
00:29:45Oh!
00:29:47Oh!
00:29:49What did I tell you?
00:30:01What? What did you tell me?
00:30:03Well, I talked to Papa Doc in the restaurant when you gave me that look.
00:30:06You saw his reaction.
00:30:08He just isn't going to give me the job that way.
00:30:11It wasn't the right time or the place. You've got to realize that.
00:30:15Well, this is the right time and this is the right place.
00:30:19Harvey, what do you think we came up here for?
00:30:23Pleasure?
00:30:27What are you afraid of?
00:30:30Look, Ruth, I tried.
00:30:34Well, in tennis there is a term called following through.
00:30:39Which I intend to do.
00:30:41I just wish you'd let me go at my own pace and not push me!
00:30:43Harvey, enough! My head's killing me! Let's just drop it!
00:30:49But you'd go easy on the booze.
00:30:53Hmm! Talk about being pushy.
00:31:01Oh, God!
00:31:06Black man, got it back again.
00:31:09Do you really think old George is dead?
00:31:11He's got to be my now.
00:31:14Let's go into the house.
00:31:15I don't feel good.
00:31:20Maybe I can help.
00:31:23Harvey, enough.
00:31:25Over here.
00:31:26Ow.
00:31:35You feeling better?
00:31:37Terrific.
00:31:38You know, Ruth, it's been a long time.
00:31:41Uh, let me just get a refill and I'll be right back.
00:31:42I promise.
00:31:43You know, Ruth, it's been a long time.
00:31:56Uh, let me just get a refill and I'll be right back.
00:32:02I promise!
00:32:07Mustn't be messy.
00:32:15I promise?
00:32:16Mustn't be messy.
00:32:26Oh, dear, dear, no.
00:32:31I forgot what you asked for.
00:32:32Harvey!
00:32:58Harvey!
00:33:00Harvey!
00:33:02Harvey!
00:33:08Harvey!
00:33:10What are you yelling about?
00:33:12People. Little people.
00:33:14What the hell do you mean?
00:33:16What do you mean, what do I mean?
00:33:18I mean people!
00:33:20Little people.
00:33:22The goddamn DTs.
00:33:24A wreck? Where?
00:33:30I don't know. We walked all night.
00:33:32This weather?
00:33:34According to my watching march in due Wesley's direction from 1815 yesterday until 0740.
00:33:40That's when I spotted the lodge.
00:33:42Well, let's get you up off that cold floor.
00:33:46Come on, get up on that couch.
00:33:48Honey, would you give me that comforter there, please?
00:33:54Here, tuck this around you.
00:33:56We didn't break in. The door was open.
00:33:58Well, that goddamn Ralph never locks me.
00:34:02Were there any others?
00:34:04Everyone else is dead.
00:34:06I'm sick.
00:34:08No, no. Wait a minute, kid.
00:34:10Just take it easy.
00:34:12We'll get you some help.
00:34:14Lovely!
00:34:16Lovely!
00:34:18What, what, what, always something.
00:34:20Hang on, kid.
00:34:22What's going on here?
00:34:24We got a sick little girl over here.
00:34:26What?
00:34:28What do you want me to do?
00:34:30Well, I don't know. Do something.
00:34:31Don't have to shove me. I'll do something.
00:34:34Well, you don't look too bad.
00:34:38Come on.
00:34:39You come with me.
00:34:40Come on.
00:34:42Come on.
00:34:43Come on.
00:34:44That's it.
00:34:45Come on, that's everybody upstairs.
00:34:47Yeah.
00:34:51Harvey?
00:34:52Doctor?
00:34:53All right, let's get them upstairs.
00:34:55Get a good look at them.
00:35:05You the seal?
00:35:06What?
00:35:07Yeah, he's the seal.
00:35:09When's child?
00:35:10Child!
00:35:11I suppose if you're starving, I can get Ralph to rustle you up some cornflakes.
00:35:1730 minutes.
00:35:18What's that?
00:35:19Didn't you ever play soldier when you were a boy?
00:35:20No.
00:35:21I didn't have time.
00:35:22Bullshit.
00:35:23You're still playing it.
00:35:24Oh, that's very funny, smartass.
00:35:25Maybe you could find yourself a job as a comedian.
00:35:26Oh, that's the perfect thing.
00:35:27You're not a poor girl.
00:35:28Oh, you're not a poor boy.
00:35:29Oh, you're not a poor boy.
00:35:30You're not a poor boy.
00:35:31No, I didn't have time.
00:35:32Bullshit.
00:35:33You're still playing it.
00:35:34Oh, that's very funny, smartass.
00:35:35Maybe you could find yourself a job as a comedian.
00:35:36Maybe you could find yourself a job as a comedian.
00:35:56Oh, that's great.
00:35:59That's just great.
00:36:01Ralph!
00:36:02Yes, sir, Papa Doc.
00:36:03Where the hell you been?
00:36:06Chopin' wood.
00:36:08I thought I told you to have this phone hooked up.
00:36:11I did.
00:36:12Then why doesn't it work?
00:36:15Maybe the line's down.
00:36:17Then find it.
00:36:18And fix it.
00:36:20U-R-A-W-O-L.
00:36:26I was talking to some fool down the hall.
00:36:28So shoot me.
00:36:33Whoop-y-doo.
00:36:34Where are the others?
00:36:36Just her hands in the bathroom with Mo.
00:36:38Any sign of George?
00:36:40Nope.
00:36:41Why?
00:36:42I was just wondering.
00:36:43You're a chicken.
00:36:44I'm not scared of anyone, especially George.
00:36:47Why don't you grow up?
00:36:48Why don't you grow up?
00:36:49Why don't you grow up?
00:36:51Why don't you grow up?
00:36:52Why don't you grow up?

00:37:44Use of the summer house every August.
00:37:51The Gerard booze?
00:38:01Oh, hi. What's your name?
00:38:15David.
00:38:17David, huh?
00:38:19You're being redundant.
00:38:21Redundant? That's a big word for such a little guy.
00:38:24Don't refer to me as a little guy. I'm a 12-year-old male.
00:38:28I'm sorry. I just meant...
00:38:31It was an accident.
00:38:33I know.
00:38:34We're the only survivors.
00:38:37I bet your mother and father are going to be glad to hear that you'll go dead.
00:38:40It's quite frightening.
00:38:41Crashing in the middle of nowhere.
00:38:43Because of my ingenuity, we survived.
00:38:46I see.
00:38:47We were on our way to Hollywood when it happened.
00:38:50Oh, so you're an actor.
00:38:52Among other things.
00:38:53The group and I were going to make a movie.
00:38:55I see. Well, that must be fascinating.
00:39:01Green is a lovely color.
00:39:06Don't you think it goes with my eyes?
00:39:09Well...
00:39:11I guess so.
00:39:15Nice material, poor style.
00:39:18Got to go now and Mr...
00:39:20Beckman.
00:39:22Harvey Beckman.
00:39:23Correct.
00:39:24We will be friends, Harvey Beckman.
00:39:26Sure, by all means.
00:39:29Good.
00:39:35How you doing?
00:39:37Fill it.
00:39:38Good.
00:39:40Can we have one on our table?
00:39:41Already got you one.
00:39:49Susan, we're going to get you back to your parents as soon as possible.
00:39:54Hold on!
00:39:55Get up! Get up! Get up! Get up! Get up! Get up! Get up! Get up! Get up! Get up! Get up!
00:40:15When you're through playing horsey, we're going to eat.
00:40:17Yes sir, Papa Doc.
00:40:18Your vehicle is in excellent condition. I checked it over.
00:40:25You leave that car alone.
00:40:27I happen to know a lot about cars.
00:40:29I know all about it. You leave it alone.
00:40:37You understand what I mean by that, Harvey?
00:40:39Rick, he'd fire me.
00:40:40It's better than the crap he's given you now.
00:40:43Too far along to go it alone.
00:40:44Oh, don't give me that, Harvey. You're a brilliant doctor.
00:40:48With your background in geriatrics.
00:40:51Excuse us, Sister, but when we start talking shop...
00:40:54I don't mind.
00:41:00I was noticing your hair.
00:41:03It's very healthy.
00:41:06Sister, would you like to say grace for us?
00:41:08Bless us, O Lord, for these thy gifts which you are about to receive from thy bounty through Christ our Lord.
00:41:18In the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost.
00:41:21Amen.
00:41:23Amen.
00:41:27Sister, aren't you awfully young to be a nun?
00:41:30I'm a novice.
00:41:32A beginner.
00:41:34They always get a little cheeky when they're away from school.
00:41:38But the Monsignor at the new school is going to be a lot tougher.
00:41:42First you have to get us there.
00:41:46Hey, David.
00:41:48What was the name of that picture you said you were going to be in?
00:41:51Well, he always tells the biggest stories.
00:41:54Don't you?
00:41:56Future writers are always testing their ideas, Harvey Beckman.
00:42:00No offense.
00:42:01Not at all.
00:42:02You have to get your experience somewhere, I suppose.
00:42:05If this weather holds up, you kids will be on your way tomorrow.
00:42:12You have a nice house here.
00:42:14It ought to be. It costs plenty.
00:42:18What are you two cooking up?
00:42:20A little ski trip for tomorrow. Anybody want to come?
00:42:22We've got work to do.
00:42:23You've got work to do. We're skiing.
00:42:25You go skiing and that's it.
00:42:27That's what?
00:42:28You guessed it.
00:42:32Fire me.
00:42:34How much you got?
00:42:36You kids seen those guns yet?
00:42:40Kiss my ass.
00:42:45That's just what I thought.
00:42:47Without your job at Copperhaven, you'd starve.
00:42:49Can I help?
00:42:53Can I help?
00:43:03Hi.
00:43:05At least I can dry the dishes for you.
00:43:07I never did dishes with a nun before.
00:43:10We're just like anyone else.
00:43:11Oh, no. You're special.
00:43:15Say, if any bears or prowlers bother you, you just tell me and I'll fix them.
00:43:29Do you have many prowlers?
00:43:30Sometimes in the summer.
00:43:35Hardly never in the winter.
00:43:38You see, we're too far from the roads.
00:43:49You here all by yourself?
00:43:51Yeah.
00:43:53All the time?
00:43:55Must be lonely.
00:44:00Oh, I don't care.
00:44:03Even when there are people, nobody talks to me.
00:44:07That looks awfully thin.
00:44:12Will that be strong enough?
00:44:14He always has dumb questions.
00:44:15Do you think he's a smart?
00:44:17Affirmative.
00:44:19This will have a bullet truck.
00:44:21Check the plug, bunny.
00:44:31I'm gonna bust you right in the face when this job is done.
00:44:33See, I'm funny in the head.
00:44:39And I make them nervous.
00:44:41I like talking to you.
00:44:44Maybe you're funny in the head, too.
00:44:51Hey, you know what?
00:44:55If you ever want to come visit, you just come on over.
00:44:58I mean, when Papa Doc's not here.
00:45:04We can't let him know.
00:45:06It'll be our secret.
00:45:08That makes two of them.
00:45:10I never washed dishes with a nun before.
00:45:13And I never had a secret.
00:45:15How's KP coming?
00:45:17Almost done.
00:45:19Hey, Ralph.
00:45:20Have you been airborne?
00:45:22No.
00:45:24Too bad.
00:45:25Look like you make a good paratrooper.
00:45:27Little fat, maybe, but...
00:45:28Don't you think you make a good trooper, sister?
00:45:30No!
00:45:32Hey!
00:45:33What's wrong?
00:45:34What's going on?
00:45:35What'd you do to her, you dummy?
00:45:36Mine didn't do nothing, Papa Doc.
00:45:37Did I?
00:45:39Affirmative.
00:45:41Sister, what is it?
00:45:42Something...
00:45:44frightened me out of her.
00:45:46What's wrong?
00:45:48What's wrong?
00:45:49What's wrong?
00:45:50What's wrong?
00:45:51What's wrong?
00:45:52What's wrong?
00:45:53What's wrong?
00:45:54What's wrong?
00:45:55What's wrong?
00:45:56What's wrong?
00:45:57What's wrong?
00:45:58What's wrong?
00:45:59What's wrong?
00:46:00What's wrong?
00:46:01What's wrong?
00:46:02What's wrong?
00:46:03What's wrong?
00:46:04It's no wonder after what you've been through today.
00:46:06Come on, lovely.
00:46:07Let's get her to bed.
00:46:08Come on.
00:46:09Come on, sister.
00:46:12Come on.
00:46:13Ralph, it's getting goddamn cold in here.
00:46:31I told you to check the generator.
00:46:33Now check it.
00:46:34Okay, Papa Doc.
00:46:43You son of a bitch.
00:47:05Fix the damn switch, dumb generator.
00:47:13small generator.
00:47:14Who...
00:47:15Who wants to do a thing like that?
00:47:16Hmm.
00:47:21No!
00:47:22No!
00:47:23No!
00:47:24No!
00:47:25No!
00:47:26No!
00:47:27No!
00:47:28No!
00:47:30No!
00:47:31No!
00:47:32No!

00:47:40No!
00:47:41No!
00:47:42No!
00:47:43Hi, baby.
00:47:45Hiya, lover.
00:47:47Can I shoot a game?
00:47:49No, no, I want to talk to you about something.
00:47:51I don't want to hear it.
00:47:53No, no.
00:47:55I don't want to hear it, honey.
00:47:57I'm fed up to hear we're talking to you about your daddy
00:47:59and the job and the house and this and that.
00:48:01I don't want to talk to you about that.
00:48:03I want to have some fun.
00:48:05I know, I know, but something else.
00:48:07What? Hey, I have a fantastic idea.
00:48:09Why don't you and I
00:48:11have some of that hundred-dollar wine
00:48:13that your father keeps bragging about?
00:48:15Mmm, pardon me.
00:48:19Well, here's soda and vodka.
00:48:21Doesn't look like we have any, does it?
00:48:23Sounds like some more
00:48:25Papa Doc's bulsh.
00:48:27No, no, there's plenty in the cellar.
00:48:29Cellar?
00:48:31The wine cellar.
00:48:33Wine cellar.
00:48:35That sounds very interesting.
00:48:37Come with me.
00:48:39Where the hell are they?
00:48:43Skinny dipping?
00:48:45It means swimming.
00:48:47You know what it means.
00:48:53Nobody won.
00:48:57Where's your bets?
00:48:59You're supposed to save that part.
00:49:13Here.
00:49:15Mmm.
00:49:17Good?
00:49:19Mmm, yeah.
00:49:21You're supposed to save that part.
00:49:23Here.
00:49:25That is good wine.
00:49:27But if Papa Doc catches you opening his private stock, he's gonna...
00:49:29No, no, no.
00:49:31He's gonna take it out of my salary.
00:49:33Hey, did you notice anything strange about those kids?
00:49:37Mm-hmm.
00:49:38But they're kids.
00:49:39I mean, I don't know what it is.
00:49:40I mean, I just...
00:49:41I can't put my finger on it, but...
00:49:42Honey.
00:49:43They don't act like normal kids.
00:49:44Honey.
00:49:45Kids today are smoking pot at 10.
00:49:46Mm-hmm.
00:49:47See?
00:49:48And they're bottom at 12.
00:49:49So how can we expect them to be normal, like us?
00:49:51Oh, you're right, but kiddo.
00:49:52There's definitely something wrong.
00:49:55Why?
00:49:56Well, did you notice how hung up Susan is with fire?
00:50:00Mm-hmm.
00:50:01And the way Sister Hannah just sits there, and stares at you in those corners.
00:50:04No, no.
00:50:05You know, you know, it's hard to see maybe a lot of things, but...
00:50:06Well, I'm not sure.
00:50:07I don't know.
00:50:08I don't know.
00:50:09I don't know.
00:50:10You know, I don't know.
00:50:11I don't know.
00:50:12I don't know.
00:50:13I don't know.
00:50:14I don't know.
00:50:15I don't know.
00:50:16I don't know.
00:50:17I don't know.
00:50:18I don't know.
00:50:19and stares at you with those cold eyes.
00:50:21And a white face.
00:50:23Blah!
00:50:23Yeah.
00:50:30Oh, and you know that watch that Soldier Kid has?
00:50:34I mean, that's an expensive man's watch.
00:50:36Where do you suppose he got it?
00:50:37Stalled it.
00:50:38Oh, come on.
00:50:40And remember at dinner when Sister Hannah looked at you and said,
00:50:43My, what healthy hair you have.
00:50:47Nuns, do not talk like that.
00:50:49Even now, Mrs.
00:50:52You know, I wonder if there really was a crash.
00:50:57Maybe those kids are lying.
00:51:02They certainly don't seem to be too anxious to get home, do they?
00:51:06You fucks.
00:51:09Rick.
00:51:11Julie?
00:51:14Rick?
00:51:16Yes, lovely.
00:51:17Well, I can see you're not skinny dipping.
00:51:26Skinny dipping?
00:51:27Uh-huh.
00:51:28Would you carry me?
00:51:32I see you've got Pappadoc's wine.
00:51:35Well, I was a little nervous and needed a sec.
00:51:38Uh-uh.
00:51:38Well, for that sedative, Pappadoc will charge you about $95.
00:51:46That much?
00:51:47Mm-hmm, that much.
00:51:48Uh, lovely, we'd like to talk to you.
00:51:53About what?
00:51:55The kids.
00:51:58What about them?
00:51:58Well, we think they're kind of weird.
00:52:01Very weird.
00:52:04How much of this have you had?
00:52:06Not enough.
00:52:07Well, I can see that.
00:52:08We're serious.
00:52:10You know what the problem with you is?
00:52:13You've been laying around with him too long.
00:52:15Come on.
00:52:16I knew you were going to do that.
00:52:26Too bad.
00:52:28I'm afraid I'll have to take your queen.
00:52:30Take your bets.
00:52:39Check.
00:52:39Nice try, David.
00:52:51If you're a good boy, I might give you another crack at it.
00:52:59How's that the board up?
00:53:01Good night, Harvey Beckman.
00:53:09Uh, where are your, uh, mother and father?
00:53:19I don't have any.
00:53:22Six, baby, six.
00:53:25Six, baby, six.
00:53:30Second time, Susan.
00:53:31I'm staying with Mrs. Beckman tonight.
00:53:34Revely at 0700.
00:53:37Give me my dice.
00:53:38No.
00:53:39Give me my dice.
00:53:40It wasn't your turn.
00:53:41You didn't get a six.
00:53:42It was my dice.
00:53:43You didn't get a six, Brian.
00:53:44You didn't get a six.
00:53:45Give me my dice, Beck.
00:53:46You lost.
00:53:47Give me my dice, Beck.
00:53:48You didn't get a six.
00:53:49If you don't give me my dice, I'm going to punch you right in the mouth.
00:53:52I'm not playing with you anymore.
00:53:53You cheat.
00:53:54You cheat.
00:53:54Ooh, they have teeth.
00:54:12What are they?
00:54:14They're piranha.
00:54:16They can strip the skin off a man's bones in 20 seconds.
00:54:19Oh, that's a great bedtime.
00:54:21Sorry.
00:54:24What do you feed them?
00:54:26Goldfish.
00:54:27They'll eat a couple of dozen a day.
00:54:29You mean you feed those little babies to those big ugly things?
00:54:34That's right.
00:54:37Here.
00:54:38You want to feed them?
00:54:40It's all right, honey.
00:54:41It's all right.
00:54:42He wouldn't do that, would you?
00:54:44I don't need you or your job, Papa Doc.
00:55:02So you can take them and stick them.
00:55:06Does Mr. Beckman always talk to himself like that?
00:55:10It's the only way he can win an argument.
00:55:14What is she doing here?
00:55:33She's trying to sleep.
00:55:38Look, I thought...
00:55:40...you don't get away that much.
00:55:43And I thought that being alone, the snow, the mountains...
00:55:52Well, that's all right.
00:55:58Harvey, I have a headache, a toothache, a backache, and I'm expecting the gout.
00:56:03Would an aspirin help?
00:56:13Oh, shit!
00:56:26Oh, God, my...
00:56:29Water is freezing!
00:56:32Oh!
00:56:35Lovely, what do you want?
00:56:43Oh, I'm looking for Ralph.
00:56:47You're not going to find him down there.
00:56:49The water's freezing!
00:56:52Then I'll keep you in.
00:56:54Lovely.
00:56:54If Papa Doc catches us in here, it's going to get plenty warm quick.
00:56:59Because he never has.
00:57:01It's the first time, baby.
00:57:11Lovely.
00:57:13Lovely.
00:57:14Lovely.
00:57:15Lovely.
00:57:16Lovely.
00:57:17It's like this.
00:57:18Do you mind?
00:57:20You're getting somewhere, but I'm getting nowhere.
00:57:21Lovely.
00:57:22Don't...
00:57:23OK.
00:57:24OK.
00:57:25Ah!
00:57:26Ah!
00:57:27Nobody!
00:57:28Um, ah!
00:57:29Do you mind?

00:57:31Lovely.
00:57:32Um, ah, ah, ah!
00:57:33Do you mind?
00:57:35Okay.
00:57:36You're getting somewhere, but I'm getting nowhere.
00:57:38Mm-mm.
00:57:39Lovely.
00:57:40Don't...
00:57:42OK.
00:57:43Ha!
00:57:44Oh, my God.
00:58:14Hey, Ralph.
00:58:25The heat's off in the house.
00:58:26So's the light.
00:58:30Ralph.
00:58:33The goddamn generator's off.
00:58:38Damn it.
00:58:44Jesus, God Almighty.
00:59:00Jesus Christ.
00:59:02Now, how the hell can he do a thing like that to himself?
00:59:05We don't know that he did.
00:59:06Could he have rigged up a thing like that?
00:59:11I want to call the police.
00:59:12Lines are still down, remember?
00:59:14Yeah.
00:59:17Well, I was getting down from there and getting those stairs to his room.
00:59:21And you can go into the village.
00:59:23All right.
00:59:24I'll see if I can get that damn generator running again.
00:59:27Okay.
00:59:27Listen.
00:59:30On account of the girls.
00:59:32We call it an accident.
00:59:35Right.
00:59:42My God.
00:59:43I can't believe it.
00:59:45Do you think it was an accident?
00:59:49No, I don't think it was an accident.
00:59:52I'm going to town and report it to the police.
00:59:55Rick, it must have been an accident.
00:59:57We're too isolated for anybody to get up here.
00:59:59I'm sure it's none of us.
01:00:00Are you sure?
01:00:03What do you mean?
01:00:03What about those kids?
01:00:08You've got to be Kenny.
01:00:11Well, you give us some thought, huh?
01:00:14Chuck, you're cute.
01:00:29Did Ralph have a family?
01:00:31No, no.
01:00:33Just us.
01:00:33Papa Doc took him out of one of his hospitals about five years ago.
01:00:40And he's lived.
01:00:44He's been here ever since.
01:00:46Until today.
01:00:57The road is gone.
01:00:58The road is missing on the car now.
01:01:14I don't know what's going on around here, but I think we'd better get everybody together.
01:01:32Well, I'll get him into the living room.
01:01:33Is there anybody upstairs?
01:01:34I don't know.
01:01:35I'll see.
01:01:35I'll see you.
01:01:35I don't know.
01:01:36I'll see you.
01:01:36I'll see you.
01:01:37A rotor doesn't just disappear
01:02:06It can't be for children
01:02:10But there's something strange about that child, David
01:02:14That's it
01:02:18You're all mine, Harvey Becklin
01:02:36Look, murder isn't a joking matter
01:02:46I was just thinking, when is the beer commercial going to come on?
01:02:50Ruth, who'd want to do a thing like that?
01:02:55Papa Doc!
01:02:56Listen, you boozed-up old broad
01:02:59Can't you leave her alone?
01:03:00I'd love to
01:03:01And I love you!
01:03:08We've all got to get out of here
01:03:11How?
01:03:12Look at that
01:03:14The snow's ten feet deep and the phone lines are dead
01:03:18Dead, down, what's the dip-
01:03:20Oh, sorry, sorry
01:03:22Sorry

01:03:36If you don't mind
01:03:39Well, you heard me
01:03:43Thanks

01:04:16You don't know everything
01:04:17I'll find it
01:04:23Those guns damn sure didn't walk off by themselves
01:04:26Well, I've looked all over for them and I can't find them
01:04:29And I got something else to show you
01:04:38How are you buttering your bread with a spoon?
01:04:41That's not funny
01:04:42You're right
01:04:56Where the hell you been?
01:05:03We're out of wood

01:05:21I want to head the new sanitarium
01:05:22Oh, you do, do you?
01:05:25At twice the salary I'm getting now
01:05:28And I want you to start treating my wife with respect
01:05:30Now, just a goddamn minute
01:05:32And I'm going to chop the wood because I feel like it
01:05:35Not because you told me
01:05:37Where's my damn high cup?
01:05:51Can I try that?
01:05:52Yeah
01:05:53Oh, hi David, sure
01:05:54You know how?
01:05:55Of course
01:05:56It's simple

01:06:01Now, I'll set them up
01:06:02And you split it
01:06:09Oh, hey
01:06:10You got to do better than that
01:06:11Come on, try it again
01:06:16Oh, come on
01:06:17You're swinging it like an old lady
01:06:18Put a little oomph into it
01:06:23Oh, no
01:06:25Well, if you can't do any better than this

01:06:44You did it, huh?
01:06:46Okay
01:06:47Let me move it around, so you'll get the other end.
01:07:12How'd it happen?
01:07:14I think he threw it at him.
01:07:16Who threw it at him?
01:07:18George. George did it.
01:07:20Oh, yeah. Did you see where he went?
01:07:23I was so scared I didn't see.
01:07:25Let's take care of Harvey.
01:07:27Now listen, not a word to anyone about this, you understand?
01:07:30Yes, sir, Papa Doc.
01:07:32Let's take him up to Ralph's room.
01:07:44Weak.
01:07:47Gutless.
01:07:55I called Harvey to lie things.
01:07:57But when he told Papa Doc, I was so proud.
01:08:12You should have seen him.
01:08:18The heart was beautiful.
01:08:21I heard him.
01:08:24I heard every word.
01:08:26I was...
01:08:29Did you know I was going to leave him?
01:08:37About a hundred times.
01:08:43I told him I couldn't stand him.
01:08:45And now he's gone.
01:08:46And there is nothing.

01:09:39Yeah.
01:09:43If we took off now, we'd be looking behind every tree.
01:09:52Now, the safest thing to do is stay together in one room and start out in the morning.
01:09:59That's not bad.
01:10:00Did you read that someplace?
01:10:02Why don't you figure out something better to do instead of sitting around sucking on that pipe and making smart-ass remarks?
01:10:06Never panic when you're scared, boy.
01:10:08Damn right I'm scared, boy.
01:10:10Well, fine.
01:10:16You'll just sit here.
01:10:17But I'm going to go take a bath and relax.
01:10:20Because if I don't, I'm never going to make it for morning.
