Transcript
00:00This is a big day, big day for the Bucs, a huge day for our city.
00:04To welcome the Turner family, to our family, for
00:07us to continue to sustain success and put ourselves in a position to compete for
00:10championships, which we've done for near a decade now.
00:14This is a monster, impactful move and piece for us in towards doing that.
00:18And not only for this season, but seasons go forward.
00:20You know, ultimately it was about just staying competitive.
00:22You know, two years ago, got to Eastern Conference Finals.
00:24Obviously last year we got to the finals.
00:27But, you know, being there, being a part of it, winning basketball has just changed
00:30my entire perspective on this league.
00:31And I saw a chance to remain competitive here.
00:34And, you know, John, even Doc, has assured me that, you know,
00:36winning is a top priority here.
00:38And we just align with our visions.
00:41You know, it's interesting, and I told Miles this, if you could sit down before
00:47free agency started and draw the perfect fit next to Giannis, it was a picture of him.
00:53The fit is perfect.
00:55And not only that, just our team, we wanted to get younger.
01:00We've done that.
01:01Miles just turned 29, you know.
01:03So in one swoop, we're a younger basketball team.
01:05We want to play at a better pace, which we started doing.
01:09It's just all these things all came together.
01:11So, yeah, I'm thinking about it now, and I'll think about it all summer.
01:15We want to play.
