WWE Smack Down _July 11, 2025 - LA Knight & Jimmy Uso Vs Solo Sikoa & JC Mateo _ Tag Team Match
Transcript
00:00The following tag team's contest is scheduled for one fall.
00:18Introducing first, from San Francisco, California.
00:24Weighing in at 251 pounds, Jimmy Uso!
00:34That looks like a very locked in version of Jimmy Uso.
00:37Could be a massive swing in his career for Big Jim this weekend.
00:41Tag team action as he teams up with LA Knight next.
00:43Incredible weekend of WWE action and
00:54tomorrow we want to let you know it gets started at 3 p.m. Eastern.
00:57Dick Joseph, Booker T, Corey Graves will be on the call for the Great American Bash.
01:03Then it's Saturday night's main event at 8 p.m. Eastern on NBC.
01:06And of course the recap with Sam and Megan available podcast-wise.
01:10Sunday, Spotify as well as Apple podcast.
01:14Sunday.
01:15Like your buddy G, I'ma give him the curse.
01:19I got Brian Slauson saying this is his neighbors and neighbors.
01:22I put it on the table and this is what it's worth.
01:24Woo!

01:54Cena will both be there under the same roof.
01:56That is next week on Smackdown.
01:59Cannot wait for that.
02:01Just three weeks away to Summerslam at Metlite Stadium.
02:05Play Knight and Jimmy.
02:35And they're all accompanied by Talataka and
02:41Tonga Loa, with a combined weight of 515 pounds.
02:48JC Mateo and the United States Champion, Solo Zakoa.
02:59Wade, Solo and the MFTs get used to this new family tree where the branches
03:04are thorny and dangerous, my man.
03:06Yeah, and we saw that last Friday, months of bad blood came to a head.
03:10It was our main event, Fatou's game plan of destroying Solo Zakoa fell apart at the seams
03:16when the MFTs attacked the massive Talataka, wiping out the Samoan Werewolf from one.
03:24Samoan Spike later set this up, a multi-person powerbomb through our announce desk,
03:32wiping Jacob Fatou out for the foreseeable future.
03:36Solo Zakoa's re-ascent to power is fully complete.
03:43I love what was accomplished by General Manager Nick Aldis earlier tonight.
03:48To put this together, saying, all right, you guys want to fight?
03:51You want to really do this?
03:52Considering everything that's happening in just 24 hours?
03:55We'll do it.
03:57And this is what we have as a main event.
03:58You know who else loved it?
03:59I'm sure Seth freaking Rollins, because Seth freaking Rollins is going one-on-one with LA Knight tomorrow.
04:08This is a risk-free night for Seth Rollins, watching tomorrow night's opponent at Saturday
04:12night's main event perhaps get mauled here.
04:16Good start by LA Knight chasing down Solo Zakoa.
04:18We saw, of course, Seth's Oracle, Paul Heyman, showing up earlier tonight as well.
04:24Now, of course, Jimmy Uso will be in action tomorrow night, too, against an opponent in this match,
04:30Solo Zakoa for the United States Championship.
04:33Now, they're both shouldering some risk here tonight, unlike LA Knight and Seth Rollins.
04:38Wait, did that hip attack just have a little something extra on it?
04:41Well, you're fighting your brother, little brother, older brother.
04:44You always put a little extra stank on those shots.
04:49And talk about stank just dropping big Jim there.
04:52There's Lil Bro, the United States champ, Solo Zakoa.
04:56By the way, you see right there SummerSlam tickets are on sale now just three weeks away.
05:01The undisputed WWE Championship match.
05:03Cody Rhodes, John Cena.
05:06With all the action over the course of the rest of the month of July, considering this weekend alone,
05:12and then what we will get to open up August in Metroneedle.
05:16Talking about all the action, JC Mateo has been all action since being brought in by Solo Zakoa.
05:24Rapidly climbed the rankings to be perhaps the most talented soldier in the army.
05:29Samoan drop into the hook of the leg and quickly Mateo kicks out the former Olympian.
05:342004, he represented Guam, was the nation's flag bearer in the opening ceremonies.
05:40He is an absolute powerhouse.
05:42The bundle of muscle.
05:43Let's talk about Big Jim.
05:45Of course, there's been a lot of cheap shots taken at Big Jim.
05:48Unfair comparisons to how his career has played out versus main event Jey Uso's in recent months.
05:56That all gets put to bed tomorrow night if Big Jim can capture singles gold for the first time here in WWE
06:05by beating Little Bro and winning the United States Championship.
06:09Wait up, God.
06:10Man, man.
06:12Just destroyed him right into our announce desk, and now a Samoan drop over the reinforced desk.
06:20This little brother stands over Big Brother after just delivering the Samoan drop.
06:42My God, it's got ugly here.
06:44Poor Big Jim.
06:45Yeah, man.
06:46I just cannot take my eyes off Talatonga.
06:49The towering Talatonga.
06:51You're a big man yourself, and you're looking up at him, Wade.
06:53Oh, I'm terrified of the man.
06:55Massive shoulders, too.
06:57Nearly seven foot tall is the newest addition to the MFTs.
07:02The newly-minted family on Solo Sokoa, who just absolutely annihilated our announce desk here.
07:13The desk is completely racked, but the action continue.
07:19A cranium-crushing hip attack to Big Jim, whose hopes of victory tomorrow getting slimmer by the minute.
07:30I mean, this could turn into a procession from here.
07:38Perhaps the damage done now to Big Jim.
07:41LA Knight hopeless on the apron.
07:44These two haven't got any experience tagging together.
07:47They've been adversaries on more than one occasion.
07:50Some are going to figure this out and take on Solo Sokoa with the MFTs prowling the outside of the ring.
07:56And J.C. Mateo wants to get the best of Big Jim.
08:03I mean, looking at the state of Big Jim, I feel like anybody could get the best of him at this point.
08:08That was an incredible attack that he had to withstand on our announce desk.
08:13Body has turned to jelly.
08:15There's nothing in the way of resistance.
08:17And now J.C. Mateo, and perhaps even more so, Solo Sokoa, can really soften up Solo's opponent
08:25before Saturday night's main event, making that matchup, that title defense.
08:31That much easier, but all right, our Big Jim.
08:34Could he rally his way back into this?
08:36Oh, inches away from attack.
08:41He needs it badly.
08:43Zack, tug of war here.
08:45Solo Sokoa clicking off a deal.
08:47Oh, how nice was that?
08:49So well executed.
08:51Face first in a turnbuckle.
08:54And the assault continues.
08:56On the encounter between younger brother and big brother, Solo Sokoa and Jimmy Uso.
09:09Tomorrow on NBC in Atlanta, they're going to meet for the U.S. Championship.
09:12But right now, it is a heated, and I mean heated, tag team battle as Solo Sokoa comes in
09:19with all his weight behind him with a running hip attack.
09:22And let's not forget, for about two straight months, Solo Sokoa pleaded with Jimmy Uso,
09:28join my army.
09:29You could be part of this.
09:31I'm building something special.
09:34Well, Jimmy declined time and time again.
09:36And with that move, he may have bought himself a chance to get this tag to the Megastar.
09:41He is desperate to find his way to L.A. Night.
09:47Tomorrow, the Megastar will take on Seth Rollins.
09:52On Saturday night's main event, and look at J.C. Mateo.
09:56Just mocking, dragging him back.
09:59But Jimmy gets free.
10:03And the big kick.
10:04Is that enough separation to find his way to L.A. Night?
10:10A level too much left in the underrated, underappreciated, uber-talented Big Jim.
10:18The mockery started too soon for Mateo, and there's the tag.
10:22Here he comes.
10:23The Megastar.
10:25Heating things up here in Nashville.
10:27Yeah, yeah, yeah.
10:34I feel the frenzy right here in this packed-out arena.
10:39Now, Mateo tries to reverse things, sets him in the corner.
10:43One, two, one.
10:44Knight gets out of the way.
10:45Jumping neck breaker by the Megastar.
10:48Well, L.A. Night looking in rare form as he closes in on his matchup.
10:55All good for the BFT.
10:56Went for the BFT, got sent back into the ropes.
10:59Mateo eats a boot.
11:00Solo Sokoa misses wildly.
11:02He floors it.
11:03A roll up, a roll up for the win.
11:05And look at the athleticism and power of Knight to free himself there.
11:12Divergently tactics from Solo Sokoa and the MFT simply have not been enough to
11:17knock the wind out of the sails of the Megastar.
11:21And whose game is this?
11:23He is fired up entering this massive weekend.
11:27Jump up, signature leaping elbow, and now Big Jim Uso Splash hooks the leg, and Solo
11:45at the last possible second.
11:47Pinpoint timing from the United States Champion.
11:51Not gonna lose that easily.
11:53Now dragging JC Mateo over to the corner to make the tag happen himself.
11:58How smart was that by Solo Sokoa?
12:01He's not gonna lose any momentum this evening ahead of his championship showdown.
12:07And now it's punishment time.
12:08Guided by referee Charles Robinson, but effective was the actions of Solo Sokoa.
12:14Looking to deliver the Samoan spike.
12:20Instead, he's a superkick.
12:23Oh!
12:24Oh, and just when Jim thought he could get it instead.
12:28It is a spinning solo slam.
12:31Oh, and L.A. Knight comes in to break it up.
12:34Yeah, Knight back from the dead, but he may well be going back to the mortuary here.
12:38Oh, no!
12:39Turned it around on JC Mateo, now about to take flight.
12:42Oh, and he sends him right into the corner of our announce desk.
12:49And with Talatonga lurking behind him.
12:52Keep your eyes peeled here.
12:54Wait up.
12:55What is going on?
12:56From every angle.
12:57Paul Heyman has arrived at Timekeeper.
13:04I mean, there's danger everywhere.
13:05You look if you're the mayor star.
13:08You simply don't have enough eyes.
13:10Of course, Heyman's main.
13:11No!
13:12Talatonga just wrecks L.A. Knight when he was distracted by the Oracle.
13:18There's a roll up and a win.
13:24Big Jim just won it.
13:27And the MFT is not chasing.
13:29Here we are winner.
13:32Tonga Lola, Talatonga, JC Mateo are chasing Jimmy Uso through Bridgestone Arena.
13:41Tomorrow, Jimmy and Solo meet up for the United States Championship.
13:46Straight up, Solo Sakao apparently blaming Paul Heyman for that distraction.
13:51And while Solo's distracting, BFT.
13:53BFT, blunt force trauma by the Megastar.
13:58No, no, the dogs are barking in Nashville.
14:06Oh God.
14:07Braun Brinker has arrived and L.A. Knight doesn't realize it.
14:12Well, the set up is in.
14:14And this is going to be nasty for L.A. Knight.
14:18And Wade, a tsunami!
14:20This cannot be happening.
14:22Bronson Reed and Braun Brinker on the night before L.A. Knight is set to face Seth Rollins, Wade.
14:30Well Seth Rollins' men have really done a number on the Megastar tonight.
14:36This was always the danger in taking a matchup 24 hours before he faces Seth Freakin' Rollins,
14:43who presumably is tucked up nice and safe in Atlanta as we speak.
14:48Take another look at this.
14:50Connecting right to the ribs of the Megastar.
14:52That spearfront breakup followed by a massive tsunami.
14:58And this is something that has previously done a major number on L.A. Knight.
15:03And they question the health of those ribs ahead of Saturday Night's main event.
15:09It comes your way tomorrow night in Atlanta.
15:13Saturday Night's main event live nationwide on NBC.
15:19L.A. Knight will have to gather himself.
15:22He's up against Seth Rollins tomorrow.
15:26Gunther vs. Goldberg.
15:27Drew McIntyre, Randy Orton, and Jimmy Uso and Solo Sokoa
15:31will see you on NBC 8 o'clock tomorrow night.
15:36Ran it again!
15:37We made the game!
15:37Ran it again!
15:38We made the game!
15:40.
15:42.
15:45.
15:58.
16:00.
16:02.
16:04.
