Tom Homan Asked Point Blank: How Many 'Illegal Aliens' Should The U.S. Deport?

In a press briefing on Thursday, Border Czar Tom Homan was asked about how many illegal immigrants the U.S. should be looking to deport.

00:02Will you do the same thing that you're doing in Los Angeles and Springfield, Ohio?

00:05We're going to do it all across the country.

00:07The big, beautiful bill is going to give us 10,000 more officers.

00:10What people need to understand, we only have 5,000 deportation officers.

00:13We've got over 20 million illegal aliens in this country.

00:16So this bill is going to put more boots on the ground, put more teams on the street to look for the criminals and the public safety threats.

00:24This is going to allow us to do more work site investigations.

00:27It's going to hire more judges to hear these cases quicker.

00:29It's going to give us more beds and more transportation to deport people quicker and more efficient.

00:32You said 20 million or more illegal aliens?

00:35How many should we deport?

00:36Well, there's at least 20 million in this country.

00:38Look, we've been talking about 12 million for the last two decades.

00:40We know 10.5 million came to the border just under Joe Biden.

00:44And for those that say 3,000 a day is ridiculous, do the math.

00:47We'd have to arrest 7,000 every single day of this administration to the end just to remove those that Biden released in the country.

00:55What would you say that people would say that's an effect of national police force with the 10,000 new agents in the city?

01:07And ICE has always been underfunded.

01:09Look, I love the Border Patrol.

01:10I started as a Border Patrol agent.

01:12They've been increasing their resources many times.

01:16ICE has never seen a resource like this.

01:18Let's remember, a lot of people in Border Patrol arrest come to ICE.

01:20They have to transport them, detain them, remove them.

01:24It's about time ICE got the numbers they need, especially now because we're cleaning up the mess of the last four years of an open border.

01:31So we need more enforcement resources to clean up the mess Joe Biden made, plus the ones that were here before them.

01:38And that's why, you know, if you look at the numbers, and the media is saying, oh, the majority of people ICE arresting aren't criminals.

01:43Well, they're not counting misdemeanors.

01:44They're not counting people who are pending charges.

01:46If we arrest an illegal alien in a county jail, I'm thinking he's not a choir boy.

01:50So, you know, they broke the law entering this country, and they committed another crime.

01:54They're going to be a priority of this administration.
