04:01I'm the CEO of Credenzio Studios
04:02and the project manager of Lionhearts
04:04Ever since I was nine years old
04:06I wanted to be a game developer
04:08and I've been working towards
04:09making a product like this
04:11from building the Third Crusade
04:12community on Roblox
04:13evolving it into Lionhearts
04:15Crusade
04:15In 2020, we founded Credenzio Studios
04:17we built the perfect team
04:19I had just graduated from university
04:21I got my degree in history
04:22and I was ready to take this on
04:24and over the years
04:25we crafted this amazing experience
04:27Lionhearts on Roblox
04:28we built our community up even further
04:30and we made a really revolutionary product
04:32on that platform
04:33and we brought all these people together
04:35that wanted to live in a medieval world
04:38slowly building this community
04:40adding more factions
04:41bringing people that really told a story
04:43and the drama was real
04:44the politics was real
04:46because it was the players deciding it
04:47it wasn't a game master or somebody else
04:50you see in Lionhearts
04:51players, not developers
04:52are calling the shots
04:54and building the world around them
04:55they're building the drama
04:56and the opportunities
04:57in the game itself
04:58and now it's time to move to Steam
05:00and that's exactly why we need your support
05:02I'm confident our team could do it
05:04because we went through Roblox
05:07you know on Roblox
05:08there are a lot of hurdles we had to overcome
05:10and our team did it
05:11and you know with our perseverance
05:12and our experience with that
05:14we can do it
05:14and also with our small team side
05:16we run a really tight ship
05:18so with that tight ship
05:19we're able to you know hone in and focus
05:21and get things done very efficiently
05:23and productively
05:24I think that that's really to our advantage
05:26there's been some trials and tribulations
05:29on Christmas day
05:32the office had a
05:34it was an electrical fire
05:36we had to move locations
05:39we had to salvage our devices
05:43we lost a lot
05:44lost a lot of work
05:46I mean there was definitely a point where
05:48I thought it might be over
05:50we pulled ourselves back up
05:51we kept going
05:53we haven't given up
05:54we didn't let it get to us
05:57those kind of things are just part of life
05:59that's how it goes
06:00I think that says more than enough
06:02about our character
06:04about our ability to work together as a team
06:09I mean that was a bonding experience
06:12between all of our team members
06:16we love the crusades
06:18we love this period of history to study
06:20it's a cultural clash between Africa
06:22the Middle East and Europe
06:23that provides an environment
06:25that's entirely unique in history
06:27you know it's kind of a dark and gloomy day out here
06:30and a lot of people think
06:30that's what the medieval world was like
06:32but that's not really true
06:34this dark ages connotation
06:35that people have with the medieval ages
06:37is really a misrepresentation
06:39so in this Levant
06:40this arid
06:41deserty environment
06:42it's going to be a lot brighter
06:43it's going to have a lot more colors
06:44than you might be used to in a medieval game
06:46and that's very intentional
06:48we want to represent
06:49the historical environment accurately
06:51this game is really going to respect
06:53the historical authenticity
06:55of the crusading period
06:56and it's going to respect it
06:57for all the participants
06:58you can be a Saracen
06:59a Seljuk
07:00a Crusader
07:01a Byzantine
07:02and so much more
07:03and allowing you to participate
07:05each one of those
07:05different faction ecosystems
07:07in a historical setting
07:08but what it would be like
07:09to actually be a member
07:10of the Knights Templar
07:12in the 12th century
07:12what would it be like
07:13to be an assassin
07:14in the 12th century
07:17you know for our team
07:17at Credenzio Studios
07:18this game is a dream come true
07:20this is our passion
07:21this is what we've worked for
07:22for over a decade
07:23this is what we want to do
07:24and we've worked for 10 years
07:26to craft the perfect experience
07:28we know exactly what's going to work
07:30and we know it doesn't work
07:31and that's why we're ready
07:32to take this on
07:33our team has been through a lot
07:34we've come through a lot
07:36of trials and tribulations together
07:37and we've come out of it stronger
07:39we didn't always make
07:40the right decisions
07:41but we learned from our mistakes
07:42and we iterated on our product
07:44over and over again
07:45and that's why I'm so confident
07:46that we can deliver this
07:47I mean some of the best moments
07:49and things that have come out
07:50of the Roblox version of the game
07:52is these dynamic wars
07:53that just organically happen
07:55I think that's just exciting
07:56to see players come together
07:58and form their own stories
08:00we're letting them take over
08:01and it's very rewarding to see
08:04the shadow system is what's going to bring this idea to life
08:07instead of logging off
08:08and your character disappearing
08:10your character will remain in the world
08:11doing the tasks you've assigned it to do
08:14even if there's a battle in the middle of the night
08:16your character will be there
08:17defending your territory against your enemies
08:19or doing whatever it needs to do
08:21to ensure that your keep
08:23and your fiefdom remain safe
08:25with the shadow system
08:26the world of lionhearts does not sleep
08:31what is persistent conquest
08:32well it means that your actions in the world matter
08:35things like supply and demand real estate
08:37and giving property and land value
08:39means that when you conquer another land
08:41it persists until it's conquered back
08:43by forging alliances and making strategic trades
08:46you can actually secure your land for a long time
08:49sign peace charters and treaties
08:51and allow yourself to really innovate within the microcosms of the game
08:56the prayer system is something we're very excited about
09:00it's going to allow you to memorize prayers from history and real life
09:04and then use in your real life should you choose
09:07and the great thing about this is these prayers are going to actually
09:10benefit you in the game and serve a real purpose
09:13inside the mechanics of the world of lionhearts
09:17it's really going to bring something that people have not experienced yet
09:21on steam and the reason that's going to be so revolutionary
09:25is because multiplayer medieval worlds
09:28that are historically set without these fantasy elements
09:30they really don't exist to this capacity
09:33unreal engine is the perfect engine to complete a project like this
09:37it just allows so many more technical opportunities
09:39that you might not have on roblox and other platforms
09:41this isn't just a project that we just came up with overnight
09:44we've been contemplating these ideas for a decade
09:48and no one wants this game to be delivered more than us
09:51so when you talk about security and risk investment with what you're donating
09:55you can keep in mind that we are driven and we are committed to getting this
09:58project to the finish line we do need your support because these things cost money
10:02but at the end of the day we're committed to getting it through to that finish line
10:06our team has been iterating on this process for years
10:09and it's that reason that we're so well equipped to take this project on right now
10:14a good example of our transparency is the dev logs we're doing right
10:18players can actually see the process or the progress we're making on this
10:22on lionhearts right so they can actually see okay here one one week you know we have a block out for a map
10:28the next week oh hey i'm starting to see progress on this oh i'm seeing progress on the shadow system going on
10:34i can really see that we're dedicated as devs and that we're actually getting things done
10:39when you support this kickstarter you're not just supporting us and our team
10:42you're supporting the vision of lionhearts and allowing it to come to life
10:45in a way that's never been seen before the rewards for this kickstarter are truly extraordinary
10:50we've stacked the deck on the rewards so you're going to be able to access very good opportunities
10:56to get yourself a good starting position in the game and we feel this is really important to
11:00incentivize donations as much as possible we're going to leverage whatever we raise into a publisher
11:05deal donating and donating early is really important not everybody needs to buy the duke
11:10tier for this thing to be a success in fact on kickstarter a bunch of people going for some of
11:15the mid or lower tiers is often the difference between a kickstarter making it and not so sharing
11:19this with your friends and giving us as much opportunity as you can is really important this game is
11:24made to the players and the community it's not made for anybody else so we're going to make a game that
11:29delivers what we promise and our vision to that community we've lasted a really long time with a
11:35really tight budget so i think that says a lot about us willing to put ourselves through the ringer
11:41we've stood our ground you know we we won't back down to see this vision realize this passion
11:49brought to life but we've stuck with this game this idea for
11:54for technically a decade over a decade i think that says a lot i think that's really meaningful we
12:02just want to thank everybody who came out and supported this game we have a global audience and
12:08we're just so grateful to have a game that we can bring so many people together from so many
12:12different backgrounds to create something truly extraordinary on steam
