00:00The 2025 Amazing Muay Thai World Festival in Verona marked a major milestone in the global growth of the sport.
00:09Held from the 25th to the 29th of June in historic cities, it brought together over 2,700 participants from 78 countries across the world.
00:21For the first time, contestants were staged inside Verona's 2,000-year-old amphitheatre,
00:27creating a striking blend of heritage and modern competition.
00:30The idea was first discussed in 2023 after nine months of detailed planning,
00:37supported closely by the Sports Authority of Thailand and the WBC Muay Thai.
00:43The event became a reality.
00:45Across five days, 949 bouts were held and over 400 medals awarded.
00:50This included 150 official gold medalists and 160 Youth and Exhibition Corps categories.
00:58Notable awards included England as the team of the tournament.
01:04We checked in at Evolution Muay Thai in the West Midlands,
01:07who, following the championship event, now boast five gold medalists as part of their team.
01:14It's really good because we know that we can all push each other to become better.
01:19And, like, when we have fights, we're all there to train with each other.
01:23And we know that, like, we're doing the best we can.
01:26They posted about us because it's, like, it's rare to see five golds, even on Team England,
01:31but, like, never mind, like, all from one gym.
01:33But it is, we've all started together, little, and we've all just pushed each other to our limits
01:38and it's made us who we are today.
01:40Someone's in a rock, under a rock somewhere, you know, and not been on the tournament.
01:47We've fought everyone.
01:48We've fought the best of everyone in the country and they've beat them.
01:50So, you know, I trust in their ability and it's good.
01:55The Verona Festival wasn't just about winners.
01:58It was about community, culture and building something that belongs to all of us.
02:03Planning is already underway for next year's event in Thailand
02:07and these superstar girls are only just getting started.
