Embarking on the path of laparoscopic surgery is a transformative journey for any surgeon or gynecologist. For me, the turning point came at the World Laparoscopy Hospital (WLH), where I had the opportunity to immerse myself in cutting-edge laparoscopic training that reshaped my professional trajectory.
The WLH stands as a beacon of excellence in minimally invasive surgery, attracting medical professionals from around the globe. What sets this institution apart is not only its state-of-the-art facilities but also the mentorship provided by world-renowned experts in the field. From the moment I stepped into WLH, I knew I was in for an experience that would challenge my skills and broaden my horizons.
The training was rigorous, encompassing both theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice. We were introduced to the latest laparoscopic techniques, from basic procedures to complex surgeries. Each session was meticulously designed to ensure that we grasped the intricacies of laparoscopic surgery, with patient safety and precision at the forefront of every lesson.
One of the most valuable aspects of my training at WLH was the collaborative environment. Surgeons and gynecologists from various backgrounds came together, sharing their experiences and insights. This diversity enriched our learning experience, fostering a sense of camaraderie and mutual respect. The faculty encouraged open dialogue, where no question was too small, and every challenge was met with collective problem-solving.
The hands-on training was unparalleled. We practiced on advanced simulators, gradually progressing to real-time surgeries under the close supervision of our mentors. This step-by-step approach allowed us to build confidence and competence, ensuring that we were fully prepared to handle the complexities of laparoscopic surgery in our respective fields.
Beyond the technical skills, the training at WLH emphasized the importance of compassion and patient-centered care. We were constantly reminded that behind every procedure was a person with fears, hopes, and loved ones. This holistic approach to training has profoundly impacted how I practice medicine today, making me not just a better surgeon but a more empathetic one.
My journey through laparoscopic training at WLH has been nothing short of transformative. It has equipped me with the skills and confidence to take on challenging cases and has also deepened my commitment to advancing minimally invasive surgery in my practice. The experience has left an indelible mark on my career, and I am forever grateful to the mentors and colleagues who made this journey so enriching.
00:00Hello, my name is Dr. Divyani Agarwal. I am gynecologist from Bangalore.
00:05I came to World Laparoscopic Hospital for my training in this month, that is August 2024.
00:13I was looking forward for this course since two years, but something kept me occupying with multiple feedbacks over the periods.
00:21Before coming, I was in mild dilemma whether to join or not to join.
00:25But finally, I took a bold step towards joining.
00:30And today, I stand like a proud pass out from the WLH and I made a right choice.
00:38Right from first entering, Dr. Mishra, our sir, our mentor and our guru, actually made us very comfortable and helped us to go through this process with lot of ease.
00:49With him was Dr. Bhalla, whose smile is so magnificent that we felt always at ease.
00:56Not only them, the ambience of the hospital, all the facilities are so good that we never felt that we were staying outside.
01:06It was just like a five-star class.
01:08Apart from that, the staff, all the single staff, right from the people who were assisting sir to the people who were even cleaning.
01:19They all were so good and so obedient and so at ease.
01:23They used to help us with every minor things.
01:26Now, this is about the ambience and everything.
01:27But the best part is our friends whom we meet during the course.
01:32Not only our national fellows, but also the international fellows.
01:35We met people from nationwide.
01:38And we learnt many cultural things from various backgrounds.
01:42We made new friends.
01:44We understood how it works in their country.
01:47And we explained about our own India.
01:49So, it was just not people, fellows coming for the course, but also becoming a family.
01:56We all became a very big, huge family.
01:59And plus point comes is our member area.
02:01We never felt even after passing out, we have to come.
02:05We cannot come back or we can't approach.
02:07It was never so.
02:09We can approach easily through the member area and everything.
02:13I think this is the best part what sir has made.
02:16Where we all can connect to them and can be always a part of WHO.
