00:00That's Alia Bhatt's ex-personal assistant Vedika Shetty, accused of faking signatures and forging
00:04bills to siphon of Rs. 77 lakh during her two years as PA. At just 32, Vedika also managed
00:10Alia's production house Eternal Sunshine Productions. From May 2022 to August 2024,
00:15she allegedly created fake invoices and quietly funneled nearly Rs. 77 lakh into her own accounts.
00:21The scam began to unravel when a suspicious invoice caught Alia's eye. She called the
00:25number on it, only to reach Vedika's friend, exposing the fraud. By January 2025, Alia's
00:30mother Soni Razdan filed a police complaint. Sensing the heat, Vedika went underground,
00:34moving between Bengaluru, Bengaluru, Rajasthan and Pune for five months. Her run ended on July 8,
00:402025, when Juhu police tracked her down in Bengaluru and brought her back to Mumbai.
00:44Her bail plea was denied by a Mumbai sessions court. Vedika now faces charges of cheating,
00:49forgery and criminal breach of trust, as police continue to probe her finances,
00:52possible accomplices, no overseas links.
