Tan Sri Abdul Hadi Awang has confirmed that he will defend his position as PAS president at the party's 71st Muktamar in Kedah this September.

Abdul Hadi, who is also Member of Parliament for Marang, said he has no intention of relinquishing the presidency, a post he has held for more than 20 years.

00:39Meanwhile, on the issue of Tanshri Muhyiddin Yasin's position as Perikatan National Chairman,
00:45Abdul Hadi stated that the matter would be discussed collectively with component parties,
00:51stressing that the decision does not rest with PAS alone.
00:55This comes amid recent speculation of a leadership shake-up within the coalition, a claim that
01:01Muhyiddin has strongly denied.
