00:00There are people talking here in New York, as you know, about Eugenio Suarez, Carol,
00:07a gallon of milk, that the Yankees are going to get these three guys.
00:11And I think people are tripping.
00:13Now, come on.
00:13Like, there's no way that team's giving all three of those guys to the Yankees.
00:17I'll be surprised if one of them ends up a Yankee.
00:19It's all going to come down to how this last couple of weeks go for the Diamondbacks,
00:23because they're still hovering around 500.
00:24And you can make the argument they can still make a move.
00:27The problem is they've been hovering around 500 this entire time.
00:29And for the last month, I've been saying, if the D-backs go ahead and sell,
00:33they got a couple of pieces that are very big, gallon being one and Suarez being the other.
00:37I'm glad everybody else is caught up on the Suarez train.
00:39This guy's had, what, 24 home runs.
00:41The Yankees have not been remotely quiet about their need of a third baseman,
00:45not to mention letting go of D.J. LeMahieu.
00:47And everybody knows, and their cousin knows, that Jazz is a second baseman.
00:51So, Eugenio is the bigger need.
00:54But at the end of the day, pitching is everybody's need.
00:57At the end of the day, everybody needs an arm.
00:59They already lost Garrett Cole.
01:01You better believe the Mets are going to be looking for an arm.
01:03The Dodgers will look for an arm.
01:04They've got 17 arms on the I.L. right now.
01:07So, I watched, I lost that 1-0 game the other night at Petco with those two home runs yanked
01:12by Merrill and Tatis.
01:14That killed me.
01:15But I bet on them all three nights.
01:18And then they won again last night.
01:20But tonight, I bet on the Padres.
01:22Who do you like in that last game of that series tonight in San Diego?
01:25I like the Pods.
01:26I like the Pods at home.
01:27Even though they haven't been as good at home this season, I just think they're going to
01:30take this and start anew in this second half.
01:33Because I do think the Padres are the biggest, biggest threat to the Los Angeles Dodgers in
01:37the National League.
01:38And make no mistake, I think the best team in the American League, who is the Detroit Tigers,
01:43I think they're the best team by a wide margin at this point.
01:46I think the second best team in the American League might be the eighth best team in the National
01:50League.
01:50Yeah, fair enough.
01:52Do you think the Dodgers get straight in San Francisco and the Devers thing has not gone
01:58well?
01:59Dude, I do think the Dodgers are going to get right in San Francisco.
02:02But if they don't, I think they're going to get right.
02:04They're the Dodgers.
02:04They've lost six in a row and they still have the second best record in the American and
02:07the Major League Baseball, not to mention the best record in the National League, despite
02:11losing six in a row.
02:12This team will win when they choose to win and lose when they decide to just take their foot
02:17off the pedal.
02:17The Giants, though, I understood the Devers trade.
02:20I was excited for them on the Devers trade.
02:22But you had to know something was up if the Red Sox were so happy to get rid of them.
02:28And by the way, the Red Sox have been playing some pretty good baseball since getting rid
02:30of them.
02:31I wouldn't be shocked if the Red Sox were only, what, a game and a half out of a wild card
02:34spot right now.
02:36Who's to say they don't go all in and try to make something crazy happen?
02:39Chris Sale may be available.
02:41Maybe a reunion there.
02:43I'll tell you what, they've been raking hits every night and winning and cashing tickets
02:47real quick.
02:49I got 40 seconds.
02:50Your thoughts on Atlanta and the Home Run Derby and the All-Star game.
02:54Are you excited for Hot Town next week?
02:57Very much.
02:58And I'll be more excited once I hear the news that Seiya Suzuki is added because that guy's
03:02got 25 home runs and 77 RBIs and somehow is not an All-Star.
03:06It's mind-blowing to me.
03:07He shouldn't just be an All-Star.
03:08He should be in the Home Run Derby.
03:10I want me some Seiya Suzuki, my man.
