ALEX, 26, from Sweden, is a 'Black Metal Barbie' who is obsessed with mixing everything hyper-feminine with the spice of black metal subculture to make her amazing style. Alex always loved the plastic, snatched and iconic style of famous pop stars, but knew she needed an edge to make this look her own. Alex told Transformed: "My look is raw, crust, metal, and spikes! I do still like to wear little skirts and big, cute, chunky shoes. I'd rather wear miniskirts and platform boots in 3 feet of snow than wear sweatpants and be comfortable! It's Barbie, Bratz, Britney Spears... But make it black!" Despite Alex feeling her most confident in what she wears, she's a victim of people assuming that she's not smart as a result of her appearance. Alex said: "I get a lot of judgement in school, people thinking I'm probably not smart enough and I'm just a goth bimbo. No! I'm educated, I have two associate degrees and a bachelor's degree. I'm also a bilingual medical interpreter." Alex is just about to graduate from her latest academic achievement, but she has come up with a master plan to hopefully stop the judgment... Today, with the help of makeup artist Leslie, Alex is stepping out of her black metal boots and becoming Sabrina Carpenter! But how will Alex's best friend and boyfriend react to her drastic change? 00:44I would describe my look as a black metal Barbie slash guitar hero character.

00:49Most things that I have on, I have created myself.

00:53I usually like to wear a lot of spikes, studs, corsets, leather, small feminine little tops.

01:01I do still like to wear little skirts and big, cute, chunky shoes.

01:06But at the same time, I like to keep it dark.

01:08I'd rather wear mini skirts and platform boots and three feet of snow

01:14than wear sweatpants and be comfortable.

01:18Unfortunately, in my class, some people do not take me seriously due to the way that I look.

01:27I have two associates and a bachelor's degree in public health and nursing.

01:35Today, I will be getting transformed from my usual black metal Barbie look

01:40to the pink, glamorous, and iconic Sabrina Carpenter type look for my upcoming graduation.

01:46I think I am going to leave a couple mouths open because I have never worn color.

01:52Okay, Alex. Let's do this.

01:54So for Alex's look today, we're really going to bring out her natural features

02:00with a lot of glow, a lot of blush, really make it a fun look.

02:05So we're going to use this Face Fact Serum.

02:08This is really going to give you like this glowy base.

02:11Ever since I was around eight years old, I started painting my nails black with Sharpie.

02:17I was always attracted to more of like the classic rock music.

02:21And then it was until I started playing Guitar Hero that I was like,

02:25this is what I want to look like.

02:28Before your foundation, we're just going to put this blurring prime.

02:31So it blurs out a little of the pores.

02:33Britney Spears was in her main peaking era.

02:37I wanted to be like that also.

02:39So that's why I decided to do kind of a mashup of looks and create who I am.

02:44The Barbie, Bratz, Britney Spears, but make it black.

02:49We're going to start trying with this Illumine.

02:52It's also a blur foundation.

02:53We're going to mix it up with a little of this Clarins foundation.

02:57Just to make it a little bit brighter.

03:03This is a palette from Tarte.

03:06It has like some glowy shadows and also some match out.

03:09So you can use this for a lot of things actually.

03:15Sabrina Carpenter usually has like a really light base.

03:18And she really likes to lighten like the inner corner.

03:27Have you ever had any judgy comments to people?

03:30Sometimes I just walk down the street and yeah, people stare at me.

03:36Sometimes when I'm in airplanes and you're passing through all those people

03:39and they're all just like looking at you.

03:41I think that's one point where I really do notice it.

03:44Some of them actually do look disgusted.

03:48I also believe that if you don't take the time to get to know me

03:52and you just simply judge me, then I dodged a bullet.

04:08I guess I want to see how I look with a normal aesthetic, a more common, I guess.
