00:00After going cold for nearly three years, the leads and the clues on revived case of the missing cockfighting gamers are getting warm as police detectives and crime scene investigators close in.
00:10An after david from Chief Whistleblower Alias Totoy and the countersworn statements from 15 cops suspected of complicity in the crime will expedite the probe and even closure on the case.
00:21Our Ryan Lesiguez has more.
00:23Coinciding with the first day of diving in Taal Lake, where it is said that the bodies of missing cockfighters were dumped,
00:31some relatives of the lost cockfighters once again went to the Office of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group or CIDG.
00:38Their call for justice remains.
00:40A new complaint will be filed by the sister of one of the missing cockfighters, Charlene Lasco.
00:56So, we are praying na sana hindi nga ma-whitewash.
00:59Some of them now have renewed hope due to the appearance of a whistleblower named Alias Totoy
01:04and the ongoing diving operations in Taal Lake conducted by government personnel in search of their relatives' bodies.
01:45Meanwhile, the PNP is open to the possibility that any of the 15 police officers involved in the case of the missing cackfighters may become a state witness.
01:54According to PNP Chief Police General Nicolás Torre III, the case would move faster if they obtain additional information from those said to be involved in the mysterious disappearance of the cackfighters.
02:05However, he said they are confident that the case will be solved even if none of the police officers speak out about it.
02:12Torre also confirmed that the PNP has already begun visiting locations in southern Luzonan Metro Manila that may have been used to dump the bodies of the missing cackfighters.
02:24May mga areas kami, not only around Laguna or Batangas, but in other parts of the metro and other parts in the underlying areas.
02:35Saka na namin i-de-de-date that.
02:37Torre also said they continue to coordinate with the National Police Commission or NAPUCOM regarding the administrative case against those involved and with the Department of Justice for the criminal case.
02:48Meanwhile, NAPUCOM has already ordered the 15 police officers in restrictive custody to submit their counter-affidavits in relation to the missing cackfighters case.
02:57NAPUCOM Vice Chairperson and Executive Officer Attorney Rafael Kalinisan said that the case would progress faster if Elias Totoy submits an affidavit and the involved police officers also submit their counter-affidavits.
03:10We're expecting that the case will really be filed with the National Police Commission.
03:36NAPUCOM has also reportedly begun receiving fillers from people who may have involvement in the case.
03:42Sabi na lang natin na talagang the fillers come from different people that can be a police officer also, that can be a civilian.
03:54But we are receiving fillers from different entities giving information.
