00:00This is how Gautam Vaishnav began his journey of balancing rocks after his
00:19friend challenged him to balance a brick on one of its corners. A resident of
00:26Pune with a b-tech in computer science under his belt Vaishnav says that rock
00:30balancing is not just art it is one of the purest forms of meditation see it
00:37the rocks basically makes you go in a meditative state so you will say that
00:43you make us meditate but no I force you to meditate that you are sticking with
00:49that rock and I want that rock to be balanced on that one single corner
00:53because of which you have to put in focus if you don't put it focus put in
00:58focus you're not able to balance it so basically technically I am forcing you
01:03to meditate a brick had eight corners and from that eight corners he wanted me to
01:23balance that brick on one corner and while balancing that one brick I was going
01:28through frustration anxiety depression stress everything was growing to my
01:34mind but on the 45th minute when I balanced it I literally felt like a
01:39butterfly and my both legs were in there now Vaishnav not only practices the art
01:46himself but also teaches it to anyone curious and willing to give it a try he
01:52also conducts workshops in schools teaching children how to balance rocks
01:57which he says helps them improve their focus in everything they do not just
02:01academics I started doing this art because I feel that people will be people
02:11get help by announcing their focus patience mindfulness and everyone say what do

02:26practice is a natural antidote to modern urban stress people are caught in loops of
02:32overthinking screen addiction and fatigue but when they try balancing rocks they are
02:38forced into stillness it's like they meditate without even realizing it
