On July 10, 2025, a missile launched from Yemen by Iran-backed Houthi rebels was intercepted by Israel’s air defense systems. Sirens blared across Jerusalem, central Israel, and parts of the West Bank as civilians rushed to shelters in panic. The IDF confirmed the interception and has since carried out retaliatory airstrikes on Houthi launch sites.
