01:12Now the Indian man, caught off guard, doesn't flinch.

01:15Instead, he simply responds with a calm, oh is it?

01:19And walks away with a composed or right.

01:22The incident appears to have taken place in a parking lot.

01:25No provocation, no argument, just pure racism on display.

01:30But the internet was not silent.

01:33The video captioned,

01:34White guy confronts a random Indian man for no reason,

01:37what a racist piece of trash, has now gone viral, clocking over a million views.

01:42Social media erupted in support of the Indian man and condemnation of the racist outburst.

02:34Despite being one of the most successful ethnic communities in the United States,

02:38Indian Americans often find themselves to be the target of such hateful behavior.

02:45With over 5.2 million people of Indian origin in the United States,

02:49they're among the most educated, highest earning and law-abiding groups.

02:54Yet, racism does not discriminate.

02:57It finds its target.

02:59Shockingly, while many denounced the American man's behavior,

03:02some supported him online.

03:04Couldn't agree more, wrote one troll.

03:07Make them uncomfortable whenever you see them, said another.

03:11But the overwhelming sentiment was loud and clear.

03:14This was hate, pure and simple.

03:17A study has revealed half of Asian Americans in the United States faced hate in 2024.

03:23These ranged from school bullying to violence.

03:25Among the hardest hit were South Asians, including brown-skinned Indians.

03:29Sadly, in what's often described as Trump's America,

03:33scenes like this are becoming far too common.

03:37The message from this viral clip,

03:39brown-skinned still makes you a target.

03:41Even when you say nothing, do nothing and mean no harm,

03:45your presence alone is enough to trigger hate.

03:48And that's the real tragedy.
