00:08has been barred from putting on a similar event in Litchfield next month.

00:13Last week, Cockerhoop Creative called off the Yorkshire Dales Food and Drink Festival,

00:18which had been due to take place in Skipton in July.

00:22Cockerhoop announced on Monday it was suspending trade applications

00:26for the Litchfield Food Festival that had been due to take place in August

00:30after Litchfield District Council launched a review of the decision to cancel the Skipton event.

00:37Cockerhoop had run the Litchfield event for nine years.

00:42Litchfield District Council announced on Wednesday

00:44it had decided to prevent the company hosting the forthcoming food festival

00:47and would also reject any future applications by Cockerhoop

00:52or any associated companies to put on events in this area.

00:56The firm has been contacted for comment about the Council's announcement.

01:01Shortly before the statement was issued, Cockerhoop told the Yorkshire Post

01:04they hoped the event could still go ahead.
