00:00This is very simple. We right now have a white supremacist that is sitting in the White House.

00:11He is backed up by other white supremacists. And if you really want to know who the criminals

00:15are in this country, you can Google it. You don't have to trust me. But the people that

00:20commit 80% of the most violent crimes in this country are white supremacists. Yet for whatever

00:26reason, they sit and they serve at the pleasure of the president. They are the ones that were

00:31there on January 6th, tearing our democracy down physically. And now we have them tearing

00:37us down right here from within. That's what's happening right now. I am tired of the white

00:42tears. Listen, if you are competent, you are not concerned. When I walk into Congress every

00:47single day, you know why I don't feel a way and why you can't make me doubt who I am?

00:52It's because I know that I had to work 10 times as hard as they did just to get into

00:57the seat. When you look and you compare me to Marjorie Taylor Greene or me to Lauren Boebert,

01:02there is no comparison. And that is the life that we have always lived. So the only people

01:07that are crying are the mediocre white boys that have been beaten out by people that historically

01:12have had to work so much harder.

01:15So the Republicans have controlled this committee. So my question is, why is it that you need to

01:21create an entirely new subcommittee when you literally could go through and do whatever

01:27work it is that you're talking about handing over to the gentle lady who has never seemingly

01:32brought up anything about efficiency? The only thing I recall from the 118th was her spending

01:37a lot of time on somebody's junk in this committee. So let me be clear. Y'all had a chance.

01:43You chose not to use it. So why should the American people be convinced that now all of a sudden,

01:49because you create a new committee that has been promulgated by a real oligarch. You're talking

01:56about Chuck Schumer and Nancy Pelosi. They were actually duly elected, not somebody sitting there

02:02buying Twitter and just happened to be the most, the richest person in the world telling y'all what

02:08to do. Let me tell you something. Y'all need to find some people that actually care about their

02:15constituents. And honestly, whenever y'all are ready to work, we on this side of the aisle have always

02:22been ready to do what is right by the American people. Instead, what you can continue to do is go

02:29after the most vulnerable in our country. You know, what is wild to me is that this word patriot seems to

02:37be getting co-opt for propagandists because that's what they do. All right. So we're going to talk

02:44about what my colleague from Georgia, she talked about misinformation and I don't know what she was

02:53talking about, but nevertheless, we can look at her own tweets and we can find plenty of misinformation,

02:58but we're just going to go through one specific tweet. Now, she said that we need to work with Israel

03:04to track down the serial numbers on any U.S. weapons used by Hamas against Israel. Dr. Snyder,

03:12I may be going out on a limb, but are you aware that that was actually just propaganda that was put

03:20out and there actually were not U.S. weapons that were being used by Hamas as she attempted to

03:28insinuate in this tweet? In fact, for some people, especially people that serve on the committee,

03:35they may be surprised to know that it's actually a former Russian president and Putin's sidekick,

03:43Dmitry, and I don't want to slaughter his name, so I'm going to say Dmitry N., who actually she

03:48quotes tweeted. See, the problem that we're having and the reason that we're bringing up Russia as well

03:55is because Russia is a threat as well as China, so we are not going to sit here and pretend

04:01as if it's only one or the other. But the biggest problem that we have is we have people that sit

04:06in this chamber and they spread the misinformation. If it was left in Russia or China, whatever.

04:13But the problem is that you have people that sit in positions of power and they have a $2 million

04:19budget. You think that they would call on some staff to find out if they were telling the truth

04:24about the things that they're putting on social media, but instead it works for their rhetoric.

04:29And as we talk about rhetoric, something else that was appalling to me was this insinuation

04:35that when you look at the Ukrainians, which is why we're having problems getting the funding that

04:41Ukraine needs is because people in this chamber push misinformation and disinformation.

04:46They want to talk about the Ukrainians got all of these Nazis. Well, let me tell you something.

04:50You can find Nazis anywhere. You can find them right here in the United States. In fact,

04:55a bunch of the people that they're calling victims and prisoners of war, also known as convicted

05:02felons from January 6th. I have an article that I'd like to enter into the record by unanimous consent

05:08that says neo-Nazi January 6th rioter pleads guilty. Without objection. Thank you so much.

05:14So here's the point. We have people in this chamber that are actually causing just as much

05:21a threat, if not more of a threat to our own country. We should be talking about holding our

05:28very own accountable for the misinformation and disinformation that they are spreading,

05:32whether it's coming out of China, whether it's coming out of Russia or whoever is telling it,

05:37it is a problem because right now what we see is that people are dying and we cannot get the

05:43support that we need from the public because they continue to peddle lies. And I'm tired of it

05:48because I didn't come to this chamber to play games. I came to this chamber to answer to the people,

05:54the American people, and to make sure that we keep the American people safe. And if we don't get

05:59something done as they talk about the border, I do want to be clear. The only reason we haven't gotten

06:03funding for the border is because they killed the House Republicans here, killed the bill that they

06:09actually sent us from the Senate side. If they want to do some work, let me tell you something.

06:14The Democrats are ready and it seems like the Senate Republicans are ready too. They just need to

06:18get to it and stop peddling Putin's lies. Thank you and I do it. I just want to say thank you because

06:27every day that we show up in D.C. we show up for you. We know who we work for. We know that we work for the

06:34American people. And what we're not going to do is stand around where they pull this bullshit that

06:39they trying to pull right now. But let me tell y'all something. I know some of y'all have been

06:44frustrated. And you've been saying, we're Democrats. We're our leaders. Well, I'm here to tell you that

06:51we ain't never left y'all. All right? We are here. We are also going to make sure that we uphold the law.

06:58We are not going to sit around while you go ahead and desecrate our Constitution or you look at the

07:06laws that have been passed into law and say, never mind. We'll just ignore that. Instead,

07:12we are going to be in your face. We are going to be on your asses. And we are going to make sure

07:17we are going to make sure you understand what democracy looks like. So let me tell you something,

07:27Mr. Trump. You're going to learn a few lessons from us. And I'm going to be the first one.

07:37You and your little friend off of Twitter. Y'all about to find out. All right? There are those that

07:43have said that we may face a constitutional crisis. I want you to know that the crisis

07:50is here. I want you to know that the power belongs to the people though, y'all. Do not feel powerless

07:59in this moment as the vice president said as she conceded the election. She said dark times

08:08may be ahead of us, but she said it's only in the darkness that we can see the stars. I am telling

08:15you right now that the stars are right here. It is time for us to shine. It is time for us to be heard.

08:22It is time for us to make sure that they know we will not go.
