00:06Mulhamdulillahi rabbil alemin, wa salati wa salamu ashrafil mursaleen,
00:15Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammad al-Muslim.
00:20A'udhu billahi min ash-shaytani r-razeem, bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
00:22Mulhamdulillahi rabbil alemin, wa salati wa salamu ashrafil mursaleen,
00:28Sayyidina wa Mawlana Muhammad al-Muslim.
00:30Sallallahu alayhi wa sallam bi madadakum wa nazalakum salli ya Rasululul Kareem, ya Habibul Azim.
00:34Maddiya salli ya Sultanul Awliya, wa shaykh Abdali Faizul Dagestani,
00:38Sultanul Muhammad al-Azim Haqqani, Sultanul Qulubina, Ma'lana Shaykh Hisham kabani.
00:42A'udhu billahi min ash-shaytani r-razeem.
00:44Bismillahirrahmanirrahim.
00:46Aati Allah, Aatiya Rasul wa ulal amri minkum.
00:50And a reminder to myself, Ana Abdakul Ajeez, al-Daeef, Miskeen, al-Zalim, al-Jahar.
00:56So this question is, if your students have advice or a friend makes counsel, should we keep
01:03a lot of advice?
01:04Give advice to it.
01:05Give advice to it.
01:07InshaAllah we'll cover that next week.
01:11InshaAllah, Ana Abdakul Ajeez, al-Daeef, al-Miskeen, al-Zalim, al-Jahad.
01:18And by the grace of Allah we are still in existence.
01:21InshaAllah we are taking a path of effacement.
01:27As much as this dunya tries to make us into something, we are trying our best to remind
01:34ourselves to be nothing and that Allah's rahmah and mercy to be upon us.
01:41Alhamdulillah from Prophet ﷺ and the heart of awliyaullah, they remind us that our path
01:53in Surah Al-Kahf and the relationship between Sayyidina Musa and Sayyidina Khidr .
02:05And it's always a reminder for myself that anybody can go back and read the 18th surah
02:15ﷺ.
02:16You can see the eloquency of the words that Allah is using to describe that path,
02:23the do's, the don'ts.
02:25And the reminder that Nabi Musa , Kalimullah, a Prophet of Allah who speaks
02:34to Divinely Presence.
02:37And that when he wants to reach a reality, Allah sends him to one of his servants.
02:46Not the only servant, one, one of my servants go.
02:49So means our path then every step of the way is a reminder no matter who you are, you are
02:56in need of guidance.
02:57And when the order of guidance comes lower yourself to be nothing.
03:06That stage of being nothing to receive the guidance that Allah wants to give, to get
03:15the medicine that you were asking for, for it to come to you, you have to lower yourself
03:21to be nothing.
03:23But if you continue to think of ourself as something, we would never accept the guidance.
03:29And that was the first warning that Sayyidina Khidr had, that I don't think we are going
03:34to get along, and I don't think you're going to be patient with the knowledges I convey
03:40to you.
03:41How can you be patient with something you have very little understanding of?
03:47Not that you don't understand anything of it, just the fact that you know a little about
03:51it is going to make a big problem.
03:54Because you may have just a little bit of knowledge in the depth of the oceans of knowledge.
04:00You may think it's a lot of knowledge.
04:03But just what little you know may be enough to block everything that you hear and everything
04:10that you understand from these associations.
04:14You bring it in, you gargle with it, move it around, it doesn't make sense to you, you
04:22don't use it.
04:23It's the danger of even knowing little and how it's going to cause difficulty with the
04:29heart.
04:30That's why this path is based on Samina wa Atana, I heard and I obey.
04:35And companions, if anyone wants to know what the companions were like, they were the exemplars
04:39of faith of Samina wa Atana.
04:42Their whole life was zikr of Allah .
04:46They never left zikr of Allah .
04:49And we get to the reality of their life by the third part of this example.
04:58So that when Allah guides us and says, be like Sayyidina Musa seeking knowledge.
05:06No matter what you achieved of life, seek out realities and Allah because there's
05:12no time for Allah .
05:15There's absolutely no time.
05:17Time is not relevant to Allah .
05:20So means there must be at every moment Allah's words are true.
05:24When Allah says that, you're going to meet one of my servants.
05:28So there must be at every moment Allah's servants on this earth.
05:33And their responsibility is hidayat and guidance.
05:36A guidance, a heavenly guidance, not a dunya guidance.
05:42But a heavenly guidance in which to reach Allah's ridha and satisfaction.
05:47Allah's satisfaction and enjoyment of His servant.
05:52So that He may bless the servant with what He wants to bless them.
05:56So that means then we took a life in which we are asking Ya Rabbi, I want to reach to realities,
06:01send me to guidance.
06:02And alhamdulillah Allah guided us to the hands of Sultanul Awliya, my Shaykh Muhammad Nazim
06:07Haqqani, His representatives, Mawlana Shaykh Hisham Kabani, Shaykh Atnan Kabani, Shaykh Muhammad
06:13Adal.
06:14So that this is a big ni'mat and a gift, that these are Rijalullah, these are the men
06:20of Allah whom Allah dressed from His Divinely satisfaction, wa qunumah sadiqeen.
06:29That we accomplish what Allah is asking for us is, take a path of consciousness and keep
06:35the company of the truthful servants who are truthful in their deeds and in their action.
06:42Not truthful by their words of what they say they're truthful but in their deeds and in
06:46their actions.
06:48So then three tests will come into our life as that example.
06:52When Nabi Musa came to the presence of the one who's going to test him, there was a fisherman
06:59who had a boat and the boat was brought down, he was no longer able to fish.
07:06They went to a boy, the boy was slain, had to pass away.
07:12After the boy they went to a wall to rebuild the wall and these three tests are eternally
07:20in our lives because we are taking a path of that reality and all the turuqs are taking
07:27that example that what Allah wants from them.
07:31So the first is that when we come on to that path, what Nabi Musa understood or what Sayyidina
07:37Khid was trying to teach and to give an example to Sayyidina Musa is that this path won't
07:45be accomplished if the rizq and the sustenance is in the hands of that student.
07:56That means that boat was that man's rizq and what Allah wanted to give as an understanding
08:05for that man, his way of making money.
08:08His warning from Sayyidina Khair is that shaitan is a, there's an evil king coming, he's
08:14going to take the boat.
08:16He's going to take that boat, he's going to take his sustenance, his way of providing
08:22for himself means that our sustenance is going to be a bloke to reaching our reality because
08:30shaitan is playing with us on how to use our sustenance.
08:34It's very deep.
08:37That if they don't have control over their dua, if Allah doesn't give that control, there's
08:44no way to guide anybody because their sustenance is deceiving them.
08:50Their sustenance makes them to feel that they're independent from everyone.
08:57Whom Allah wants to guide and truly wants to guide, He gives authority for these awliya
09:04Allah that make you a dua.
09:07And the dua they make is that Ya Rabbi their sustenance is the destruction, means lower the
09:14boat, lower that boat so that that sustenance is not coming between the guidance and the student.
09:22Make them to be in a station of need because when they're in a station of need you have
09:28their full attention.
09:30You have their ears listening, you have their entire being that what to do, what dua to make,
09:36Sayyidi what to do for prayers, means the whole being is moving on how to achieve Allah's
09:44satisfaction.
09:45So it means there's a tremendous reality in that sustenance.
09:51And if that sustenance is not under control, they use it for shaitan instead of for rahman.
09:58It means that everybody has an attribute that Allah dressed them from.
10:05He said many times as the example, if you are generous means that if in our evil life and
10:11moving towards evilness or moving towards goodness you're still dressed by the same attribute
10:17of Allah .
10:19If Allah dressed you from the attribute of generosity then you're the generous one buying
10:24everybody drinks.
10:27And when Allah wants to guide that servant back towards realities, their sifat that governs
10:35them has to be guided first.
10:38It means bring the generosity that you have, bring it towards Allah , not towards shaitan
10:45but towards rahman.
10:47And that's the symbol of the boat.
10:50He didn't destroy the boat so they have no sustenance.
10:54But the prayers of their prayers and Divinely Presence is, Ya Rabbi this is a distraction.
11:02If you lower that distraction we can begin to train.
11:07If we train them and they're solid in their belief then when the rizq rises it's not for
11:14shaitan, it's for Rahman and that just that subject itself is a very subtle ocean.
11:24They want you to understand that the rizq that Allah once they lower that boat when Allah sends
11:30it back it's not yours.
11:33Don't think this money of yours is yours.
11:36This money is Allah and you are merely a custodian.
11:40The thief is the one who thinks that the money is his, it's mine, I made it, no you didn't
11:46make anything.
11:47Allah wrote for you to have that and you asked to enter into Islam which is taslim and submission.
11:55So then you view in submission that this house is the house of Allah , every house, my house,
12:01your house is Allah's home and I'm merely its custodian, nobody takes it with them.
12:07I'm a custodian of the silverware, of the china, of the car, of the cash, of everything.
12:14Let me to at least try to use it in Allah's way so that I'd be a good trustworthy custodian.
12:21Not a thief thinking I'm just going to take everything, putting everything in a bag and
12:25stealing it and going and going like karoon into my grave with all my treasures, where are
12:31you going with that?
12:32Like your faraun with all your treasures, why he was doing like that, no belief.
12:38The believer, he leaves everything outside his grave and say, bury me empty handed with
12:43just a sheet on me, not even my fancy clothes.
12:46Except some of myself, one of them, one of the big, big people from a different faith,
12:50he got buried with some nice shoes.
12:51Beautiful, he had like beautiful red loafers.
12:56Where are you going with these shoes?
12:58You're going to Allah with your shoes?
13:02So why have Prophet ﷺ brought us, no you go naked and just a sheet to cover your hawa,
13:08your embarrassments so that you're not rise in Allah's presence to be embarrassed.
13:13So that means that rizq of ours is not ours, it's Allah's.
13:18So they train you, be a custodian of that rizq, be a custodian in which you use it for
13:24Allah , take for what you need, take for what your family needs and use for Allah .
13:31Then the second test that Nabi Musa and Sayyidina Khidr went to, once that's being continuous
13:37in our life, continuous testing, in our life is in that subject, then they take us to the
13:43second test.
13:44And I ask Ya Rabbi that if the student want to reach your reality, this bad and wicked
13:52nafs that that little boy symbolizes, if that nafs is never going to be slain, no matter
14:00how much you teach them, how much you do zikr, no matter how much you do practice, if that
14:06bad nafs is not brought down, there's no reaching anything.
14:10So it means that then izzatullah will give a permission, no, that nafs will be slain.
14:17If they follow what you're teaching and they're coming for their zikr, they're doing all of
14:22their awrads, they're doing all their practices as they're accompanying you, these lights begin
14:28to dress, they begin to dress, they begin to dress.
14:32Instead of that little nafs becoming a powerful giant, it's being destroyed, it's being brought
14:38down.
14:40That the wickedness like the naughty age, where whatever you say it disagrees, whatever you
14:47say it yells back at you and screams at you, imagine that at 20 years old.
14:54The wickedness continues to grow.
14:57So it means then by the authority of Allah because they're asking, if you want guidance,
15:04these three have to be under control.
15:07The rizq shouldn't be a distraction for the servant, have you ever tried to guide a rich
15:11man?
15:12He doesn't sit and listen to you for anything, he feels himself to be faraun.
15:16They make one dua, his wealth can disappear in a night.
15:21That was also in Surat al-Kahf, when the one came out and he said, oh I have lots of land
15:27and I have big, a lot of boys, you're so pious you have nothing.
15:32And he said, oh I think you should have said, mashallah, la quwwata illa billah.
15:38By the next day, all his wealth was destroyed.
15:41Means in an instant Allah can take everything, then you'd be on equal footing.
15:48And your account empty and looking at your shaykh, now what to do?
15:52But they don't want that.
15:53They don't want hardship.
15:54So it means that system has to be in place, then to the wickedness of the character, ya Rabbi,
16:02this nafs of this person is very wicked.
16:06If the dua is not accepted, that nafs will never come under obedience and ihtiba.
16:14And they see it, and we said before, they see the nafs in everything we do.
16:20From the way we talk, the way that we act, the nafs always wants to be identified, always
16:25wants to be known.
16:27And they can see it.
16:28We see a normal person, they see like a vicious lion that waiting to attack.
16:34I said, there's a nice video of a lion tamer, he's in a cage and there's four lions.
16:39He's distracted with one, the other one jumps on his head.
16:45And that is the way of guidance.
16:49That as soon as you begin to guide, there's 80 lions in the room.
16:54Not just sweet and soft loving people.
16:56There's 80 nafs that are looking to find something wrong, something to attack.
17:01Means at all times they're vigilant over the character, the bad character of people.
17:08If Allah not accepting their dua that ya Rabbi send your tajalli, send your light, send your
17:13blessings, send the nazar of Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ upon us.
17:18So that this bad characteristic is laid to rest and becomes subservient to Allah's will.
17:27And the third and the most important why Allah wrote it for the third is they came upon a
17:34wall that a father had left an inheritance for his sons.
17:42And Sayyidina Khidr came to rebuild the wall as the servant of Allah and Nabi Musa asked,
17:49why we don't charge a fee for that?
17:55Why we don't charge for doing Allah's work?
18:01And our life comes for that example that one, who was the father that left this treasure?
18:07Means that Allah has a treasure for everyone been set aside.
18:16Because Allah is not a storyteller, there must be an example right now in my life on this
18:23surah.
18:24And Allah says, yes, I have placed the treasure in everyone's heart.
18:29Alam al-Quran khalaq al-insan, before I created your being I gave all these knowledges
18:35of Qur'an unto your soul.
18:37I placed that treasure and I've dispatched awliyaullah to cover it.
18:42So that shaitan doesn't take your treasure and begin to disperse it and make you to work
18:48for him sending out information.
18:52But Nabi Musa was asking, why can't we charge for that?
18:57And Sayyidina Khidr asked him, why didn't you charge when you got the well and brought
19:03water up for a wife?
19:05He saw some women, he thought maybe that if I get the water from the well so that I can
19:10water their sheep, maybe I can marry.
19:13You were in need of something and you were of service to Allah and you did your khitmat.
19:20Why now would you want to charge?
19:22So awliyaullah come into our life and begin to teach that if you want all the rewards of
19:27your path, you want all that Allah wants to give because there's a treasure.
19:32So means the third and most important is if you want the treasures that Allah has set
19:38aside for you, live a life of khitmat, live a life of service.
19:44If you're not doing any khitmat, you're definitely not reaching any treasure of Allah .
19:50It is the example of the Prophets.
19:52They did what they did for what, a paycheck?
19:55They did it to be of service to Allah .
19:57Now Allah sends rizq and sustenance from ways that nobody can imagine but they never charge
20:04for what they do, they never charge for what they do.
20:09And they teach all their students, live a life of service.
20:14If you live a life of service, doesn't mean you don't work, it means that you work but
20:19you'll be inspired by these shaykhs that you're of some service.
20:24It's not just a life about yourself.
20:27If you have the ability to write, you'll be writing for them, inspiring you to reach
20:31your treasure.
20:33If you can make websites, you'll be making websites with them.
20:36If you can write a book, you'll be writing a book with them.
20:39If you can make a TV show, you'll be making a TV show with them.
20:42Their life is to inspire you to be of service with what Allah has given to you of your abilities,
20:51of what you're able to produce, what you're able to think, what you're able to do with
20:55your hands, your mind, your feet, your being.
20:58Use it in the way of Allah and His beloved Sayyidina Muhammad ﷺ.
21:03That opens all the treasures of the soul.
21:06That opens all the treasures of the soul.
21:09And that's why awliyaullah and pious people, they go everywhere, they teach every day.
21:13They don't teach for any salary, they go everywhere to teach, to spread the love of Sayyidina Muhammad
21:20ﷺ.
21:21Why?
21:23Because they understood the secret of that khidmat opens all the ridha and satisfaction
21:29of Allah which are the treasures of the heavens.
21:33Open upon their soul because of that service.
21:36And they inspire all their servants, all their students to take a life of that way so that
21:43they can reach the servanthood of Allah .
21:46Means that even the further they move to go and teach, the further they go, the more
21:52distance they walk, the more blessings that are coming.
21:56Before you can ask from Allah give me this, give me this job, give me these things that
22:00I want.
22:01Allah can ask, what have you done for me?
22:04And that's why they come into our lives and inspire us.
22:07No, no, do that khidmat, do that service for Allah , He opens everything
22:12for you.
22:13We pray that Allah open these realities for us, these understandings for us that to not
22:19have the rizq as a distraction, the bad character to be brought down and to live a life of service.
22:27Subhana rabbika rabbal al-izzati amma yasifun, wa salaamun al-musaleen, walhamdulillahi
22:32wa harumati Muhammad el-Mustafaa, wal siri surat al-Fatiha.
