00:01:00Hello?
00:01:03McCartney calling.
00:01:05McCartney calling.
00:01:06Hello?
00:01:10Any luck, Mac?
00:01:11Nah, I can't even scare off a news broadcast.
00:01:14Where do you think we are?
00:01:16Search me.
00:01:17We lost a beam hours ago.
00:01:18Probably somewhere between Cuba and Puerto Rico.
00:01:21Is it that bad?
00:01:22It ain't good.
00:01:23Uh-oh.
00:01:24I know that I wouldn't cut out to be no blackbird.
00:01:26If you had those weather gadgets you all set up,
00:01:28we wouldn't have gotten into this mess.
00:01:29Now, if that new Navy base gets a weather bureau now,
00:01:32it'll be a miracle.
00:01:33Well, Mr. Bill,
00:01:34is this the spot where Admiral Wainwright's plane
00:01:37turned up missing last week?
00:01:38Yeah.
00:01:39Uh-oh.
00:01:39Look out, Admiral.
00:01:40Here we come.
00:01:41Try to contact him again, Mac.
00:01:46Hello?
00:01:47McCartney calling.
00:01:49Plane C-108 calling.
00:01:53Why don't somebody answer?
00:01:55We're lost, do you hear?
00:01:56Lost.
00:01:57Lost.
00:01:59Not a murmur.
00:02:03How's the gas holding out?
00:02:05That's something else again.
00:02:07Well, there are plenty of small islands down here.
00:02:10Better go down.
00:02:11Find a spot for landing.
00:02:12That's what I'll...
00:02:13Wait a minute.
00:02:15There's something coming in.
00:02:16That's a new thing going to me.
00:02:22I don't understand it.
00:02:25Think we're near a radio station?
00:02:26Well, the way it's coming in,
00:02:27we must be right over that transmitter.
00:02:28Well, that's a break.
00:02:31Well, I'm going down and take a look.
00:02:33Hold on, boys.
00:02:39There's a clearing ahead.
00:02:40I think I can make it.
00:02:41Think.
00:02:41Didn't you say think?
00:02:42Come in.
00:03:12Rest in peace, if that means what I think it means, they sure don't waste no time around here.
00:03:35Wait a minute, wait a minute, they can't do this here to me.
00:03:39Let me out of here! Let me out of here! Let me out of here! Now let me out of here!
00:03:44Hey, hey, what's the matter with you?
00:03:46Is that you, Mr. Bill? Did they have you in a hole too?
00:03:49What are you talking about? What do you mean, have me in a hole?
00:03:52Are we dead?
00:03:53Of course we're not dead.
00:03:55I thought I was a little off-color to be a ghost.
00:03:57Oh, there's no such thing as a ghost, Jeff.
00:04:00Eh? Well, what's that then?
00:04:04That's no ghost. Come on!
00:04:09I can't eat. My foot done took the root.
00:04:13Hey, what are you trying to do? Scares to death?
00:04:18Hey, you're hurt.
00:04:20I'm all right. Just a crack on the noggin.
00:04:23Where are we?
00:04:26Search me. It looks like somebody's marble orchard.
00:04:29Graveyard?
00:04:31That's a fine spot for a crack-up.
00:04:33Well, let's look around. Somebody must live around here.
00:04:36Come on.
00:04:39Quiet, will you? What you trying to do? Wake up to death?
00:04:42What's the matter? Do you hear something?
00:04:47No, sir. Just my heart trying to jump out of my chest.
00:04:50That's drums.
00:04:51Drums?
00:04:52That's my cue for me to start parading out of here.
00:05:12Look. It's a creepy-looking place.
00:05:17Sure dark.
00:05:18Suppose anybody lives in there?
00:05:20Isn't that a haunted house?
00:05:21If they do, they sleep on slabs.
00:05:23Well, let's find out.
00:05:25Not me. You're going in there.
00:05:27I ain't going in that mercerium.
00:05:28I'm going to stay right here until I change my mind.
00:05:35Wait a minute. I done changed my mind.
00:05:42Wait a minute.
00:05:43Wait a minute.
00:05:45IT ISPED
00:06:11Ring the bell, Jeff.
00:06:12Oh, Mr. Bill, you're the one who wants to go in there.
00:06:14If no one wants to go in there, you'll ring the bell.
00:06:23You sound like Ice Cream Man.
00:06:41There's nobody here.
00:06:45Who's there?
00:07:03Welcome to my humble home.
00:07:05Thank you. We were just...
00:07:07I know. Your plane crashed in the jungle.
00:07:11Oh, yes. How did you know?
00:07:13Very little happens on this island that I do not know about.
00:07:17Mama!
00:07:19We have guests from the library.
00:07:22Half these gentlemen's bags brought in.
00:07:25Oh, excuse me, gentlemen.
00:07:26May I introduce myself?
00:07:27I'm Dr. McHale Soundray, laid off the other.
00:07:33Follow me, Jeff.
00:07:38Mr. Bill, let's get out of here.
00:07:40Oh, don't be silly, Jeff. Go on.
00:07:42Oh, that man ain't no doctor.
00:07:43There's something wrong here.
00:07:45Well, that's Slim Gary.
00:07:46Ma.
00:07:51You must forgive us, please, if we seem unprepared.
00:07:53Visitors are rare in this house.
00:07:54I'm afraid we're the ones to apologize, doctor, for walking in on you like this.
00:07:57Not at all. It's a pleasure, I can assure you.
00:07:58Well, I'm Bill Summers. This is Mr. McCarthy?
00:07:59Well, I don't know you, Doc.
00:08:00My valet, Jefferson.
00:08:01Uh, Jefferson Jackson is my name. You see, I was named after my grandpappy.
00:08:04He was the president of the Knights of the Pink Garters.
00:08:05Ah, you have been hurt.
00:08:06Ah, it's nothing.
00:08:07Just a crack on the head.
00:08:08Nothing, you see.
00:08:09The slightest injury on this island often happens.
00:08:11You must forgive us, please, if we seem unprepared.
00:08:13You must forgive us, please, if we seem unprepared.
00:08:15Visitors are rare in this house.
00:08:16I'm afraid we're the ones to apologize, doctor, for walking in on you like this.
00:08:18Not at all. It's a pleasure, I can assure you.
00:08:19Well, I'm Bill Summers. This is Mr. McCarthy.
00:08:20Well, I don't know you, Doc.
00:08:21My valet, Jefferson.
00:08:22Uh, Jefferson Jackson is my name. You see, I was named after my grandpappy.
00:08:25He was the president of the Knights of the Pink Garters.
00:08:29Ah, you have been hurt.
00:08:30Nothing, you see.
00:08:31The slightest injury on this island often proves fatal.
00:08:35What do you mean?
00:08:36The climate, and yet?
00:08:37Yet what?
00:08:38They say that evil spirits lurk here, waiting to prey on the injured.
00:08:44Ha! That's a lot of bump.
00:08:46Maybe.
00:08:48How about the spell of Blandy? To warm me up?
00:08:50Fine.
00:08:51Mamba!
00:08:53Run away.
00:09:00Come on.
00:09:01Come on.
00:09:06My servant intrigues you.
00:09:07Is that one of the spirits that you was talking about?
00:09:10Mamba, no.
00:09:11It's true he reflects the mood of this house.
00:09:13But he's not as sinister as he looks.
00:09:17Gentlemen, the finest brandy in all Europe.
00:09:20I brought it here myself.
00:09:22To your arrival.
00:09:36A most fortunate accident for me.
00:09:38I'm afraid our arrival was no accident.
00:09:40You mean to say you came here purposely?
00:09:42No, not in the sense you mean.
00:09:44You see, we were on our way to the Bahamas when the storm blew us off our course.
00:09:47We heard you're at broadcast, so here we are.
00:09:50Broadcast?
00:09:51Hm?
00:09:52You must be mistaken.
00:09:53There was no broadcast from this island.
00:09:57Your ears must have played you tricks.
00:09:59There is no radio within miles of here.
00:10:02However, boats do stop here fairly often.
00:10:05How often?
00:10:06Well, the next one is due in about two weeks' time.
00:10:09However, I hoped you will be my guest in the meantime.
00:10:13Hmm.
00:10:14I'm afraid we'll have to, Doctor.
00:10:16Well, that's settled then.
00:10:17Ah, let me show you to your rooms.
00:10:19Oh, I'm sorry, Doctor.
00:10:20Good morning, Doctor.
00:10:21I'm sorry.
00:10:22I'm sorry.
00:10:23Good morning, Doctor.
00:10:24I'm sorry.
00:10:26I'm sorry, Doctor.
00:10:27You're a big one.
00:10:28Let me show you.
00:10:29Yay.
00:10:35Didn't- didn't we just leave him downstairs in the library?
00:10:42Oh, he wanted to make sure that your room was warm and comfortable before you got here.
00:10:44Mr. Summers, this is your room. Mr. McCarthy's. Your quarters adjoined.
00:10:49Excuse me, Mr. Doctor, but didn't you forget something?
00:10:51I think not.
00:10:52No.
00:10:53No.
00:10:54What about me?
00:10:55You will be taken care of.
00:10:56That's what I'm afraid of.
00:10:57In the Seven's Quarters. Mumbo will show you the way.
00:10:59Mumbo?
00:11:00That goblin?
00:11:02Do I have to go with him alone?
00:11:04He won't hurt you if he likes you.
00:11:07No.
00:11:08He won't hurt you if he likes you.
00:11:11And if he don't?
00:11:13Oh, Mr. Bill, does I have to? Can I stay up here with you?
00:11:15No.
00:11:16You understand.
00:11:17I don't wish to be harsh.
00:11:18But it might set a bad example for the other servants.
00:11:20Certainly.
00:11:21It'll be all right, Jeff.
00:11:22For who?
00:11:23Mumbo.
00:11:24I'm sorry.
00:11:25I'm sorry.
00:11:26I'm sorry.
00:11:27I'm sorry.
00:11:28I'm sorry.
00:11:29I'm sorry.
00:11:30I'm sorry.
00:11:31I'm sorry.
00:11:32I'm sorry.
00:11:33I'm sorry.
00:11:34I'm sorry.
00:11:35I'm sorry.
00:11:36I'm sorry.
00:11:37I'm sorry.
00:11:38I'm sorry.
00:11:39I'm sorry.
00:11:40I'm sorry.
00:11:41I'm sorry.
00:11:42I'm sorry.
00:11:43I'm sorry.
00:11:44I'm sorry.
00:11:45You ain't by any chance a member of the mystic knight of the Pink Goddess, are you?
00:11:51No.

00:18:59My wife isn't quite herself.
00:19:03She suffers from a strange malady which I'm trying to cure.
00:19:11Here is a peculiar case in contrast to that of the zombies
00:19:15which your servant claims to have seen, where supposedly they are dead,
00:19:19yet retain a certain amount of animation.
00:19:23She lives, yet walks in the land of those beyond.
00:19:29Forgive us if we intruded. I didn't know you preferred drinking alone.
00:19:47I was a little nervous. I thought it might make me feel better.
00:19:50Of course. Permit me.
00:19:53Mr. Summers. Mr. McCarthy.
00:19:58Miss Barbara Winslow, my niece.
00:20:00By marriage?
00:20:02The doctor...
00:20:04I mean, my uncle has told me of your unfortunate accident.
00:20:07How long do you suppose it will take you to repair the plane and leave?
00:20:10Barbara, how can you talk of leaving to our guests when they have only just arrived?
00:20:15I'm sorry. I didn't mean it that way.
00:20:18You see, my niece doesn't like this little island.
00:20:21She can only think of it in terms of departure.
00:20:24Any place that don't sit well with me, miss?
00:20:26Aye, ups and lanes.
00:20:27Unfortunately, that's easier said than done.
00:20:30None may leave this island as he so chooses.
00:20:34How's that?
00:20:35Of course, I'm only speaking about myself and my family.
00:20:39You see, we are Austrian refugees.
00:20:42Had to flee without passports.
00:20:45We had no choice.
00:20:47But we're different, huh?
00:20:48Naturally.
00:20:49You wouldn't be on this island if it hadn't been for your crash.
00:20:52Isn't that so, Mr. Summers?
00:20:54Well, that's about the size of it.
00:20:55I'm beginning to think these islands are bad luck for planes.
00:20:58Oh, I don't understand.
00:21:00About a week ago, one of our navy planes disappeared in the same region.
00:21:04Oh, any one of importance?
00:21:07Yeah.
00:21:08Admiral Wainwright, one of our ranking admirals.
00:21:11Mm-hmm.
00:21:12He was on his way to Panama.
00:21:13A mission of some sort for the government.
00:21:15How unfortunate.
00:21:18Well, of course, I will inform the natives first thing in the morning.
00:21:24And if they can learn of your admiral, I will certainly let you know.
00:21:29Thank you, Doctor.
00:21:30Excuse me.
00:21:35I see you take an interest in my collection.
00:21:37Yeah, they are kind of curious.
00:21:39They constitute my hobby gathered from all over the world.
00:21:42Relic symbols of black magic, lycanthropy, voodoo.
00:21:49Is that so?
00:21:50Quite so.
00:21:53You are Irish, are you not?
00:21:55Sure, anybody can see that.
00:21:57Well, that should be of special interest to you.
00:22:01Why me?
00:22:02Because it comes from your country.
00:22:04The ceremonial mask worn by the ancient Druid high priests during the rites of transmigration.
00:22:11Transmigration?
00:22:12Yes, it means the transfer of the soul of the dead to the body of the living.
00:22:16Ain't that kind of tough on the living?
00:22:18Perhaps so.
00:22:19But I know of many who would benefit by a new soul.
00:22:23Lots of people don't believe in that junk anymore, Doc.
00:22:26Well, I hear that in an Ireland a good many do.
00:22:28I don't know about that.
00:22:30Dina is served.
00:22:32Very interesting, Mr. McCarthy, isn't it?
00:22:33Very.
00:22:34The inconvenience of the material body always demanding to be fed.
00:22:39Come, my dear.
00:22:40The idea of me doing skulls-dugger in the kitchen.
00:22:43Why, that ain't no business for a man who used to resorting with big shots.
00:22:45Who are you trying to fool?

00:23:46What's up?
00:23:47It's most twelve o'clock.
00:23:48The witching hour.
00:23:49Witching hour?
00:23:50What do that mean?
00:23:51It means you better be in bed or the Hanks will get you.
00:23:54Hanks?
00:23:55Hanks?
00:23:56It's that feeding time, and they likes dark meat.
00:23:59Dark meat?
00:24:00You don't have to play no second chord for me to find out who that means.
00:24:03Where's that bed?
00:24:04You stay here.
00:24:05Oh, mister, I got a date with a dream.
00:24:08You stay here.
00:24:10Oh, couldn't we flip a coin or something to see if I stay, or else?
00:24:14Pay no attention to anything you see or hear.
00:24:23Pleasant dreams.
00:24:25Nighty-night, sugar pie.
00:24:29Remember.
00:24:36I cannot forget to remember.
00:24:38Don't worry, mister.
00:24:39I couldn't get out of here if I wanted to.
00:24:41Boy, I was petrified.
00:24:47Where there's light, there's hope.
00:24:48Boy, I need all the hope that I can dig up tonight.
00:24:51I sure wish I'd learned to burn a candle on both ends.
00:24:55I'll have some more likely.
00:24:56If I'd just had me a couple of Lenox Avenue street lights, I could really sleep.
00:25:10With you now, peen time for the hands, and I'm caught in the kitchen.
00:25:23The whole house.
00:25:24My goodness!
00:25:25Fighters!
00:25:26My goodness!
00:25:27Fire-hears!
00:25:30D-O-S.
00:25:31D-O-S.
00:25:32D-O-S.
00:25:33Fighters!
00:25:47Don't come close to me. I ain't no fit to me.
00:25:55Good night, gentlemen.
00:25:57Mr. Bill! Mr. Bill! They're after me! They're after me!
00:25:59Now what?
00:26:00The zombies! They've been trying to get me!
00:26:02They're still serving over like that, Mr. Summers?
00:26:04This ain't no laughing matter, Dr. Sanders.
00:26:06You fooled me once before, but you can't do it this time,
00:26:08because I've seen them with my own eyes.
00:26:10He seems to be troubled with hallucinations.
00:26:12No, sir. Zombies, that's what I'm troubled with.
00:26:15You know what, Mr. Bill? Why, they tried to have me for dinner.
00:26:18Ha ha! Nonsense! Zombies don't eat meat.
00:26:22That ain't the way I heard it.
00:26:24Ah, the crack-up must have given him a concussion.
00:26:26You'll be all right in the morning, Jeff, as soon as you have a good night's rest.
00:26:28You're right about me needing rest,
00:26:30but I can't get to sleeping down there in that mall.
00:26:32Well, you can stay up here with us.
00:26:34Mr. Bill, them is the joyfullest words that I ever heard.
00:26:37Oh, we have so much room in this house, there's no need for him to sleep here.
00:26:40I'll give him an opiate.
00:26:42You ain't giving me nothing.
00:26:44But this is so irregular.
00:26:46Let him stay here, Doc. I know how he feels, and I don't blame him a bit.
00:26:49Oh, forgive me. I forgot. After all, he is your servant.
00:26:53Good night, sir.
00:26:55Good night, Doc.
00:26:57Good gracious of me.
00:27:00This joint gives me the willies.
00:27:02I second the motion.
00:27:03Well, I'm not crazy about it either, but there's nothing you can do about it.
00:27:05That's what you think.
00:27:07Nobody leaves this island, huh?
00:27:08Well, I'm getting off it if I have to swim.
00:27:10And me right behind you.
00:27:11You know that Dr. Sanders has got the hex on us.
00:27:14Now you're both jumping at your own shadows.
00:27:16Shadows?
00:27:17I don't throw them kind of shadows that I saw down in that kitchen.
00:27:20Why, Mr. Bill, this place is zombified, but good.
00:27:23Ah, forget it, Jeff.
00:27:25That may be something to that zombie gag, Bill.
00:27:27I've heard of him.
00:27:28Ah, go on. When a man's dead, he's dead.
00:27:30Well, supposing he's dead and don't know it.
00:27:32Forget it. What are you, Jeff, going to bed?
00:27:34Where am I going to sleep?
00:27:35I'll sleep there on the couch.
00:27:37Right on you?
00:27:46Hey.
00:27:48What's that?
00:27:51That's a generator as sure as there's shamrocks in Ireland.
00:27:53Maybe it's for electric lights.
00:27:55Have you seen electric lights around here?
00:27:56Maybe they ain't screwed them in yet.
00:27:58There's only one reason for a generator to be on this island.
00:28:01Radio.
00:28:03I don't get it.
00:28:04Why would you lie about the radio when...
00:28:06That's one of the things that got me mixed up.
00:28:07But let me tell you this.
00:28:09If we live through the night and that radio on the plane is okay,
00:28:11I'm going to camp on it tomorrow till I scare up a gunboat.
00:28:16You're thud!
00:28:17You decided to get something because of the other Liu That was fucking...
00:28:20I'm telling you.
00:28:21When I got up to even home andILLA heat…
00:28:23I got them.
00:28:24Youwerkd., I'll get them.
00:28:25I FRESichte in the Kinecturía.
00:28:26You're blowing up yourresso Ah!
00:28:27You're so good.
00:28:28How are you?
00:28:29That's how long?
00:28:31You're like, that's how cool it is.
00:28:32Because your sister has changed a lot.
00:28:33I'm going up to know it now.
00:28:34You're like you.
00:28:35But the other some of us are thinking about getting the juice.
00:28:38It's pretty sick.
00:28:39So how come about you?
00:28:40To human people, decide you're going to build a quest,
00:28:41I'm excited.
00:28:42Actually, how do you want to donya?
00:29:14Thank you for me.
00:29:23Mr. Bill, Mr. Macklin.
00:29:24What's the matter?
00:29:25What happened?
00:29:25Everything happened.
00:29:26First it was zombies and then it was ants and now it's a lady ghost.
00:29:29She come right through that wall.
00:29:31Now look, Jeff, the first couple of times it was funny, but now you're going too far.
00:29:34Oh, no, I ain't, Mr. Bill.
00:29:35She walked right through that wall.
00:29:36Oh, it's your imagination.
00:29:37Go on back to bed.
00:29:39Imagination?
00:29:39Why, Mr. Bill, my imagination ain't that strong.
00:29:42Well, imagination couldn't drop this, could it?
00:29:45Look at that.
00:29:46What is it?
00:29:47It's an earring.
00:29:50Where did you say she went?
00:29:51She walked right through that wall, just like it wasn't there.
00:29:54Right here, Mr. Bill.
00:29:55I'll show it to you, too.
00:29:59She walked right through this wall here.
00:30:01And don't ask me how she done it.
00:30:02All right, solid as a rock.
00:30:10Yeah, that gets me.
00:30:11Any idea who she was?
00:30:12I didn't ask the lady her name.
00:30:14I was doing pretty good just looking.
00:30:16What do you say, Bill?
00:30:16You still think he's crazy?
00:30:18Well, I'll tell you better in the morning.
00:30:19Now, next time you see anything like that, hang on to it.
00:30:21If I do, it's got to catch up with me first.
00:30:23Nothing doing.
00:30:41Looks like even the doorknobs are haunted around this joint.
00:30:43Well, I'm going to find out what this is all about right now.
00:30:45Oh, Mr. Bill, with all these hats around here,
00:30:48does we have to go looking for them?
00:30:49Well, you can stay here, Jeff.
00:30:50No, sir.
00:30:51Wherever thou goes, I'll go.
00:30:53I hope it ain't too full.
00:30:54Well, keep your eyes open.
00:30:56Let's have a look downstairs.
00:31:15It's quiet as a tomb.
00:31:17The tomb?
00:31:21Oh, Mr. Bill, you're not going down in that zombie.
00:31:24Let's go.
00:31:41Mac.
00:31:42Yeah?
00:31:42We better split up.
00:31:44You don't mean three ways.
00:31:45Mr. Bill, I think two is better.
00:31:47Look, Jeff, where did you say you saw those things?
00:31:49Oh, Mr. Bill, you ain't going down in that zombie nest.
00:31:52Where is it?
00:31:53Back in the kitchen.
00:31:54All right, I'll look around up here.
00:31:56OK, come on, Jeff.
00:31:57Who, me?
00:31:58No, sir.
00:31:59Oh, Mr. Mac, I ain't got no business down there.
00:32:01Pipe down.
00:32:02You've got to show me the way.
00:32:03Does I have to?
00:32:04Can I draw you a map or something?
00:32:05Oh, go ahead, Jeff, you're wasting your time.
00:32:07Oh, my goodness, right out of the skillet into the frying pan.
00:32:10I couldn't win tonight if I had crooked back.
00:32:12Come on.
00:32:13I've never had it, sir.
00:32:24How did I go, Mr. Trudy?
00:32:27Oh, my God.
00:32:28Oh, my God.
00:32:29How could you be there?
00:32:31No.
00:32:32Oh, my God.
00:32:33What was it?
00:32:34How could you, Mr. Trudy take this disparity then?
00:32:34Oh.
00:32:35No.

00:35:54Don't do that, Mr. Mack. You know my heart can't stand it.
00:35:59You know one thing, Mr. Mack, you see?
00:36:01Wow!
00:36:02Mr. Mack!
00:36:04Mr. Mack! Mr. Mack!
00:36:14Mr. Bill, the zombie's got Mr. Mack.
00:36:17You all right, Mack?
00:36:18Yeah, looks like I pulled another Brannigan.
00:36:20That's not so bad, it's just a bump.
00:36:22Yeah, two cracks on the bean in one knife. How am I doing?
00:36:25I heard someone cry out.
00:36:27It was me, and I wasn't dreaming.
00:36:28Oh, yes, we thought we heard something, Doctor.
00:36:30We came down here to investigate.
00:36:31So?
00:36:32Yeah, I got tangled up with one of your ape men
00:36:34and got the worst of the argument.
00:36:35Too bad, I should have warned you.
00:36:37Some of my servants act as gods at night.
00:36:39You sure it wasn't a zombie?
00:36:41Ridiculous!
00:36:42Well, he knows it wasn't a zombie, Doctor.
00:36:44It was our fault.
00:36:45We should have taken your advice and stayed where we belonged.
00:36:47You're a sensible man, Mr. Summers.
00:36:49Well, let's go back to bed, fellas.
00:36:51I'm sorry.
00:36:52This won't happen again.
00:37:05You know, the stump don't look half bad in the daylight.
00:37:08Yeah, it almost makes last night seem like it didn't happen.
00:37:11Don't kid yourself.
00:37:12That earring happened.
00:37:14You know, I'm beginning to believe this thing was dropped on purpose.
00:37:17Good morning.
00:37:18Good morning.
00:37:19Howdy.
00:37:20Well, I think you dropped this last night.
00:37:22That?
00:37:23Oh, no, that belongs to my aunt.
00:37:24I'm so glad I was able to find you, Lorne.
00:37:26There's something I've got to tell you.
00:37:27What is it?
00:37:28It's about last night.
00:37:29There's a...
00:37:33Good morning.
00:37:34Having an interesting conversation, my dear?
00:37:36Uh, Miss Winslow was just telling us about your island.
00:37:39That's right.
00:37:40Oh, how thoughtful of her.
00:37:43Did you sleep well last night?
00:37:45Well, as well as we could with the storm and all.
00:37:47Good.
00:37:48I took the liberty of having some breakfast sent to your room.
00:37:51I hope you didn't mind.
00:37:52Not at all.
00:37:53It was an unexpected treat.
00:37:58You seem to admire my wife's earrings.
00:38:00Oh, I was just, uh...
00:38:03My wedding present to her.
00:38:05Oh, very unique.
00:38:06Quite so.
00:38:07I dare say there's not another pair like them in the world.
00:38:11Really?
00:38:12They were among the few possessions which we were allowed to take out of the old country.
00:38:16You don't say.
00:38:18Well, while you are here, I want you to feel perfectly at ease and do as you like.
00:38:24What are your plans for today?
00:38:26I'm going down and take a look at the plane.
00:38:28Uh, yes, we're anxious to see what damage was done by the crash last night.
00:38:31I see.
00:38:32Would you care to join us, Miss Winslow?
00:38:34Oh, I would love.
00:38:35No, no.
00:38:36That would be quite impossible.
00:38:38My niece assists me as my secretary.
00:38:41We have a lot of work to do, my dear.
00:38:43Some other time, perhaps.
00:38:45Oh, certainly.
00:38:46Would you go, Mac?
00:38:47I'm all for it.
00:38:48Enjoy yourselves.
00:38:49But don't forget luncheon at noon.
00:38:51Thanks, Doctor.
00:38:53Bill.
00:38:54Bill.
00:38:55Let's have a look at that earring.
00:39:00They're the same, all right.
00:39:03The only pair like them in the world, huh?
00:39:06I don't get it.
00:39:07Neither do I.
00:39:08Barbara didn't drop it.
00:39:09Madame Sign Grey couldn't have, apparently.
00:39:11Who did?
00:39:12This is the most cockeyed racket I ever bumped into.
00:39:15Well, I'm for getting out of it as quick as possible.
00:39:18Let's get that radio started.
00:39:22Bill.
00:39:24Look there.
00:39:25What about it?
00:39:26Ain't that a fresh grave?
00:39:27So what?
00:39:28You're in a cemetery where it's customary to bury people in fresh graves.
00:39:31Yeah.
00:39:32But that's been dug since the storm last night.
00:39:35Listen, are you getting those zombies on your mind, too?
00:39:37You and Jeff make a great pair.
00:39:38You still don't get it.
00:39:40Take a look at that headstone.
00:39:42That guy was buried over a week ago,
00:39:44and somebody must have dug him up.
00:39:47Come on.
00:39:49Boy, will I be glad to get away from this joint.
00:39:57Well, it could have been worse.
00:40:02Hey, Mac, come here.
00:40:04What's the matter?
00:40:05Is it busted?
00:40:10How do you get that?
00:40:11Ah, somebody's dismantled it.
00:40:13Dismantled it?
00:40:14I'll say they have.
00:40:15What next on this devil's island?
00:40:16Mac, we're in a spot.
00:40:17I don't know why, but somebody's trying to hold us here.
00:40:20Trying to hold us, is it?
00:40:22That Dr. Sangre and his droids and his zombies?
00:40:25He better not try to pull any of this black magic on me.
00:40:27Ah, calm down, Mac.
00:40:28Raving isn't going to get us anywhere.
00:40:29I'm going to find that, Doc.
00:40:31Are you crazy?
00:40:32Do anything now to make him suspicious?
00:40:33No telling what he might do.
00:40:35Take it easy until we find out what he's up to.
00:40:37Well, maybe you're right.
00:40:39But there's one thing I can't do,
00:40:40and I'm going to do it right now.
00:40:41I said take it easy.
00:40:43All I'm going to do is try and find that generator
00:40:45we heard humming last night.
00:40:46Hey, that's an idea.
00:40:47The old man's got a radio hidden away someplace.
00:40:49We could sure use it.
00:40:50Let's go.
00:40:51You better let me handle this.
00:40:52Like you said, we don't want to make anybody suspicious.
00:40:54And with two of us snooping around, it mightn't look so hot.
00:40:56Okay.
00:40:57I'll go back to the house and try to get Barbara away from Doc
00:40:59long enough to find out what she was trying to tell us.
00:41:01Think you can handle it alone?
00:41:02A cinch.
00:41:03It's right up my alley.
00:41:04My old man used to be a cop.
00:41:24But we do what dress some strange thing.

00:47:49I have returned to the land of the living
00:47:52I am a zombie

00:48:29
00:48:49Mac? Mac, where are you?
00:48:52Jeff?
00:49:19No. No. No. No.
00:49:31No. No.
00:49:37Aunt Alice, think. Think hard. Remember. Try to remember.
00:49:49Oh, you've got to get over this. You must speak to me. You must. No.
00:50:02So you're mixed up in this mess, too?
00:50:04Oh, no. I was only trying to...
00:50:05I know what you were trying to do. I thought Dr. Sangre was responsible for that. Now I see it's you.
00:50:10No. I'm only trying to undo what already has been done.
00:50:13By hypnotizing her still further.
00:50:14But it's the only way. You must believe me.
00:50:17I wouldn't believe you or anybody else in this madhouse.
00:50:19I suppose next, you and your vultures will be after me.
00:50:22Next?
00:50:23Don't pretend that you don't know what happened to Jeff and Mac.
00:50:26I know. I...
00:50:28Luke.
00:50:32Mac.
00:50:34He's sick. Get some brandy.
00:50:40Mac, tell me what's the matter. What happened? Where have you been?
00:50:44That doesn't do any good.
00:50:49Well, I hope you're satisfied.
00:50:51No, I think...
00:50:52I saw your friend enter from the jungle. Is anything the matter?
00:50:55What do you think?
00:50:56Well, let's have a look.
00:51:03I was afraid of that.
00:51:05He has contracted a very rare and dangerous jungle fever.
00:51:08Is that so?
00:51:09It paralyzes the motor region of his brain.
00:51:12He must have medical attention at once.
00:51:15But you're a doctor. See what you can do about it.
00:51:17I'm sorry it's beyond my powers.
00:51:19I thought so.
00:51:20You're going to let him die.
00:51:22Not at all.
00:51:24There's a native doctor in the village who knows more about this than I do.
00:51:27We'll send for him at once.
00:51:28I see.
00:51:30Find Mamba and send for Dr. Cui.
00:51:32Yes, Doctor.
00:51:35You'd better put him to bed.
00:51:45Mr. Summers, this is Dr. Cui.
00:51:47Charmed, Mr. Summers, I'm sure.
00:51:49How do you do, Doctor?
00:51:51Dr. Cui was educated in your country, America.
00:51:54Precisely.
00:51:55This is the patient, I presume?
00:51:57Yes, make it snappy with it, Doctor.
00:52:02I'm sorry, there's nothing I can do.
00:52:14Nothing?
00:52:17Are you sure?
00:52:17Positive.
00:52:18This man has been dead since morning.
00:52:32I'm profoundly sorry about the death of your friend, Mr. Summers.
00:52:38It has to be, it has to be, I suppose.
00:52:41Did you have to bury him so soon?
00:52:43It was out of my hands.
00:52:45The local law insists the climate and something even worse makes it necessary.
00:52:50You mean this voodoo zombie business, huh?
00:52:53This voodoo magic is far more real than you think, Mr. Summers.
00:52:58You heard what Dr. Cui had to say.
00:53:00No, but that's impossible, dead since morning.
00:53:03Things like that have happened before on this island.
00:53:06There are even wispings going on among the natives that he was bewitched.
00:53:11Bewitched?
00:53:13But why?
00:53:14What for?
00:53:16Maybe for prying into things that did not concern him.
00:53:20Moment bitter, Doctor.
00:53:22Come as a photo.
00:53:25Excuse me.
00:53:30What is it?
00:53:34The radio.
00:53:36Word has just come through.
00:53:38They must have the admiral's information at once.
00:53:41We've got to make him talk.
00:53:44We might perform the ceremony.
00:53:47The rites of transmigration.
00:53:50Get everything ready.
00:53:52Inform Tahama.
00:53:53And get Madame Sangry to the dungeon.
00:53:57Madame Sangry?
00:53:58You have me.
00:54:00Hurry.
00:54:16Tahama.
00:54:17Your ceremony spater untum.
00:54:20I'll be right along.
00:54:23I'll have to go.
00:54:26You've got to feed the zombies.
00:54:28Me?
00:54:29I can't stand zombies and you knows it.
00:54:31Do as you're told.
00:54:34And you'd better set another plate.
00:54:36For we're going to have company for dinner.
00:54:38Company?
00:54:40You mean there's a new one?
00:54:41Oh, that's right.
00:54:43The Irishman from upstairs.
00:54:52Well, I do the class.
00:54:58Imagine us having a white zonger for dinner.
00:55:11You're a little bit.
00:55:12I'll be right back.
00:55:30Company Hall.
00:55:31One, two.
00:55:33Gangway for kid zombies.
00:55:35What you doing in that line up?
00:55:36Don't bother me, woman.
00:55:38Can't you see ours a has been?
00:55:40A zombie?
00:55:41Nothing else but.
00:55:43And don't ask me my name, cause I don't know.
00:55:46I don't know nothing.
00:55:48You ain't no zombie.
00:55:50Zombies can't talk.
00:55:51Can I help it cause I'm loquacious?
00:55:53How'd you get this way?
00:55:55I ain't telling nothing.
00:55:57All I know is that I joined the club.
00:55:59And as a member, I has privileges.
00:56:02What privileges?
00:56:04Privileges to get fed.
00:56:05That ain't no new development with you.
00:56:08Woman, where's my food?
00:56:11There it is. Help yourself.
00:56:20Company, come and get it.
00:56:28Where's the white one?
00:56:32What white one?
00:56:33The one who flew the plane you come in.
00:56:35He's also one of the new recruits.
00:56:38The only one I know about is the boys in my squad.
00:56:44Is this the best food you got?
00:56:46The best?
00:56:47For zombies, that ain't the 650 luck special.
00:56:51This being a zombie sure is a drawback.
00:56:57Why the salt?
00:56:58You eats that the way it is and likes it.
00:57:01Zombies ain't supposed to use salt.
00:57:08I thought you said...
00:57:09I changed my mind.
00:57:10That's more like it.
00:57:11Take it easy there, woman.
00:57:12I ain't no hearing.
00:57:13Now eat.
00:57:14Pooh!
00:57:15What are you trying to do?
00:57:16Poison me?
00:57:17How's you feeling?
00:57:18How should I feel?
00:57:19You ain't feeling dead, is you?
00:57:20Because if you is, then you're a zombie.
00:57:21And if I ain't?
00:57:22Then you ain't no zombie.
00:57:23The rule says if a zombie uses salt, he dries up and gets dead again.
00:57:26How do I look?
00:57:27How do I look?
00:57:28I don't know.
00:57:29I don't know.
00:57:30I don't know.
00:57:31I don't know.
00:57:32I don't know.
00:57:33I don't know.
00:57:34I don't know.
00:57:35I don't know.
00:57:36I don't know.
00:57:37I don't know.
00:57:38I don't know.
00:57:39But if I ain't?
00:57:40Then you ain't no zombie.
00:57:41The rule says if a zombie uses salt, he dries up and gets dead again.
00:57:46How do I look?
00:57:48How do I look?
00:57:51Take a look for yourself.
00:57:54Well, according to this, I ain't dead.
00:57:59That's all I want to know.
00:58:01Then you ain't no zombie.
00:58:03How do you know?
00:58:04Because when a zombie looks in the mirror, he don't see nothing.
00:58:08That's me, all right.
00:58:13Well, I ain't no zombie after all.
00:58:16If I ain't no zombie and there is, what am I doing here?
00:58:19What?
00:58:20Hey, where you going?
00:58:30Jeff, where have you been?
00:58:31What are you doing coming out of there?
00:58:33One at a time, Mr. Bill.
00:58:34I've just been reincarnated.
00:58:36You what?
00:58:37I just got these zombified.
00:58:39That's the facts, Mr. Bill.
00:58:40But that's all I remember.
00:58:41Jeff, you've got to remember.
00:58:43These zombies.
00:58:44Did you see any of them?
00:58:45I just got through eating dinner with them.
00:58:47Were any of them white?
00:58:49Why do you ask me that?
00:58:50Samantha asked me the same thing down in the kitchen.
00:58:52No, I was just thinking of Mac.
00:58:54They were in such a hurry to bury him.
00:58:55Bury him?
00:58:56Is Mr. Mac dead?
00:58:58My goodness.
00:58:59Maybe he's the one that, uh...
00:59:03The one?
00:59:04Go on.
00:59:05What one?
00:59:06I was digging in a graveyard.
00:59:08Can you imagine me digging in a graveyard?
00:59:11What about the graveyard?
00:59:12No.
00:59:13That couldn't have been me.
00:59:15Oh, but Jeff, you've got...
00:59:17What was that?
00:59:18It sounded like a woman's scream.
00:59:19What woman?
00:59:20I don't know, but it sounded like Barbara.
00:59:21I'll get the flashlight.
00:59:22Off again.
00:59:23Down here.
00:59:24I'm coming from the hot end.
00:59:25This way.
00:59:53And...
00:59:54Oh, my God.
00:59:55No.
00:59:56I can't see you.
00:59:57I can't see you.
00:59:58Now.
00:59:59Oh, please.
01:00:00But...
01:00:01Now.
01:00:02Now.
01:00:03Let's sit.
01:00:17Now, what's your right?
01:00:18I'll be right back.
01:00:20Now, you're right on the left side.
01:00:22Madame Sangre.
01:00:24That's what you got for trying to warn us.
01:00:27Whoever did it can't be far away.
01:00:29You mean can't be too far away.
01:00:31Jeff, look.
01:00:33Eyes, if you look, I ain't responsible for nothing you see.
01:00:41Mr. Bill, ain't that a coffin?
01:00:44It's Max.
01:00:45You don't think he done joined up with his armies, do you?
01:00:48I don't know.
01:00:49But if that Sangre thinks he can use Max's body to...
01:00:52What's the matter?
01:00:53Listen.
01:00:57What does that sound like to you?
01:00:59I don't know, but it ain't Gene Krupa.
01:01:02It's the same drums we heard the other night.
01:01:04Voodoo drums.
01:01:05We gotta find them.
01:01:06Oh, Mr. Billy, we found enough in one day.
01:01:09After this, there's no telling what he's up to.
01:01:10Max might be...
01:01:12Come on.
01:01:13I'm coming.
01:01:22Mr. Bill, does we have to do this?
01:01:31Quiet, Jeff.
01:01:32I ain't said I would.
01:01:33In there.
01:01:50I don't want to budge.
01:02:16Jeff, you were down here.
01:02:17Don't you remember how you got in?
01:02:19I can't remember.
01:02:20Think hard, Jeff.
01:02:21We've got to get in there.
01:02:23Now, let me think.
01:02:24I don't want to budge.
01:02:25I don't want to budge.
01:02:26I don't want to budge.
01:02:27I don't want to budge.
01:02:28I don't want to budge.
01:02:29I don't want to budge.
01:02:30I don't want to budge.
01:02:31I don't want to budge.
01:02:32I don't want to budge.
01:02:33I don't want to budge.
01:02:34I don't want to budge.
01:02:35I don't want to budge.
01:02:36I don't want to budge.
01:02:37I don't want to budge.
01:02:38I don't want to budge.
01:02:39I don't want to budge.
01:02:40I don't want to budge.
01:02:41I don't want to budge.
01:02:42I don't want to budge.
01:02:43I don't want to budge.
01:02:44I don't want to budge.
01:02:45I don't want to budge.
01:03:16Who are you? Speak. Tell me. Who are you?
01:03:35I am. I am.
01:03:40Admirals. Admirals.
01:04:00Admiral Wainwright, what were your orders?
01:04:04To go. To go.
01:04:12Stop. Stop.
01:04:14Mamba, you fool. She was just going to talk.
01:04:18Unbelievers. Outsiders come in.
01:04:22Get him.
01:04:34Mack, go back.
01:04:36It's Bill. Bill Summers, your pal. Go back.
01:04:40Mack, go back.
01:04:42Stop.
01:04:44Stop.
01:04:46Stop.
01:04:48Stop.
01:04:50Stop.
01:04:52Stop.
01:04:54Stop them.
01:04:56You look.
01:04:58heat.
01:04:58Goat.
01:04:59Yeah.
01:05:04Yeah.
01:05:05Yeah.
01:05:14Yeah.
01:05:15Ah.
01:05:16Yeah.
01:05:18Ah.
01:05:19I don't know what to do, but I don't know what to do.
01:05:35Did you contact the Coast Guard all right, Admiral?
01:05:37There'll be a boat here for us in the morning.
01:05:39How's your friend?
01:05:41Those bullets didn't help him any.
01:05:43He'll need a little patching up when that Coast Guard cutter gets here.
01:05:45But he says he's raring to go again.
01:05:47Say, by the way, how did that insane doctor manage to get you on this island?
01:05:51Well, he brought our plane down with a false radio beam.
01:05:55Killed the crew and tortured me to get information about our canal zone fortifications for his government.
01:06:01He didn't succeed at first, and then he decided to try this voodoo business.
01:06:08Oh, you mean those rights of transmigration he talked about?
01:06:12Yes, that's right.
01:06:13You see, he tried to transfer the Admiral's information to my brain.
01:06:17He was completely mad on the subject of hypnotism.
01:06:19Half the island was under his spell.
01:06:21First he tried to use Madame Sangry as a subject.
01:06:24When she broke under the strain, he used Barbara.
01:06:27I hate to think what might have happened if you hadn't turned those zombies against him.
01:06:32You and me both.
01:06:34If there's one thing that I wouldn't want to be twice, zombies is both of them.
01:06:40The End
01:06:46THE END
