Kara's disappearance from the DC canon gave me the idea to create a comic story about her.

00:00Kara's Coming Out
00:02Once upon a time, in the year 2983 A.D., far away on the planet Orando in the Vala Three-Star System,
00:12the Golden Witch attended the royal wedding between Princess Projector Windsor and Val Armour.
00:18After the wedding she traveled back to 1983 A.D. through the time barrier.
00:23During this trip she was still thinking about the ceremony and remembered the conversation with her cousin Cal
00:28when she told him she's thinking about giving up her supergirl identity to live the life of an
00:33ordinary woman, with a husband and children. Also the conversation with Quirrell, as she once told
00:39him that she cannot cope with being a part-time legionnaire until she gets her life straightened
00:43out, but she may return someday and maybe they can pick up where they left off. When she met him
00:49again at the wedding, she had serious trouble controlling her heart rate, with all the pointy-eared
00:54people around her. Because she not only traveled through the time barrier, but also flew through
00:59space back to Earth, her mind completely elsewhere, the accident occurred. She took a wrong turn and
01:06unexpectedly found herself hundreds of light-years away from Earth when, with Brainy in her mind,
01:11she collided with a green kryptonite meteor.
01:13Drake's helmet came to her mind before she lost consciousness. She awoke with amnesia on an alien
01:22planet called Makar, someone who introduced himself as Sokka and seemed strangely familiar for her,
01:28took her hand to assist her in her recovery, this developed a closeness that she enjoyed so much
01:33that they soon married. After an attack by Nax, an intergalactic mercenary, with his annihilator which
01:39attacked her molecules, she began showing signs that the battle had taken a serious toll on her.
01:46The following night, she sleepwalked, quietly changed her clothes, unconsciously took the round
01:51haku, a wedding anniversary gift that recorded the thoughts of his beloved, and disappeared without a
01:56trace. In 1983 AD, while enjoying the dawn, she sat on a rooftop in Chicago, certain she had spent the
02:04entire night searching for brains. Days later, during a recent battle with Black Star, an aftershock had
02:11jolted her mind, and her forgotten original memories returned. It was a tremendous shock that threatened
02:17to overwhelm her. She debated whether it was due to influence from her opponent. But after later finding
02:23haku in her room, where she had unconsciously picked him up while sleepwalking, she realized it
02:29was all true. She lost herself at the coordinates where her hometown, Argo City, once drifted through
02:35space, where she fantasized in her youth about what it would be like to be married. Not only was the
02:41place wrong, but also the time, because she left the time barrier too early, in the future of 1984 AD.
02:48Then, with a lot of luck, she was found and rescued by soccer and misfortune.
02:53Yes, fate played a nasty trick on her, being married almost kills a supergirl, even if she
02:59only fantasizes about it. That was probably the reason why she was unconsciously so weakened,
03:05as if she wasn't already silly enough from the accident, when she had to endure Matrix Prime's
03:10electromagnetic waves. The son of Macker wasn't obviously enough to completely free her from the
03:16Green Kryptonite radiation. First Green Kryptonite radiation, then electromagnetic waves, and shortly
03:23afterwards Reactron's new type of radiation. And again against Matrix Prime while she still
03:29infected with Reactron's radiation fever. All of this led to her being cloned and having trouble
03:35defeating her replicants. For months, she tried to find a way to tell her husband what had happened.
03:41That she married him by mistake because she unconsciously mistook him for Brainy. Also
03:47because he handled force shields, too. This familiarity led her astray. But she couldn't
03:53and didn't want to tell him that, so as not to hurt him. She felt so strongly how much he loved her.
04:00It helped that she couldn't travel to 1984 AD, to his home planet. Cal told her how he collided with
04:07himself through the time barrier, twice, once as Superman, just a few months ago. As he did
04:13years ago as Superboy. Time paradoxes had to be avoided, there were already enough ugly decals of
04:20her. She also wanted to avoid flying through a cloud of red Kryptonite dust again. That million-to-one
04:27accident had been enough. Who knows how long she would then live with soccer. So she decided to send a
04:33message via Haku, hoping to avoid a forced conversation if he found her. In doing so,
04:40Death unconsciously approached her. Interesting story. But why the hell does all this seem so
04:46familiar? Asked Kara of New York City. Why do I feel like I know the Legion of Superheroes
04:53personally, so much so that in some waking dreams they have erected a statue with my face as if I were
04:58dead? And anyway, why do I often think of a red-haired girl with pointy ears and a cape?
05:04Am I gay with a leather, plastic fetish? Why was I fighting with others months after my death?
05:11Why do I dream this nonsense? But most importantly, why do I see myself as a spirit that helps other
05:17Supergirls? Besides my nude dreams of strolling naked through Gotham City? To attract red-headed
05:24girls? Shaking her head, she placed her winter solstice gift, marriage is fatal for Supergirls,
05:31from Dick on her nightstand and went out into the evening, strolling a few blocks to clear her head.
05:37There, she encountered a strange d-man whom, in his opinion, only she could see and hear.
05:44After reprimanding him for not being so selfish, she ultimately reminded him.
05:48We don't do it for the glory. We don't do it for the recognition. We do it because it needs to be
05:56done. Because if we don't, no one else will. And we do it even if no one knows what we've done.
06:03Even if no one knows we exist. Even if no one remembers we ever existed.
06:09She reminded him that even though he is dead, he is still human, and he should rejoice because it
06:14means his spirit is still alive. And walked away, disappearing around the corner. To then be
06:21finally freed from the realm in which her spirit was trapped after her body died. To be back in
06:27action. Realizing that her mind was distracted not only by Camille, but primarily by soccer,
06:34and hopefully having said everything that was important to her if she were to die here and now.
06:38She volunteers herself to once again fight the anti-monitor. But this time, with the help of
06:45Earth-1 Barry, the pre-flashpoint Cal and pre-zero-hour Hal, vows to defeat him for the sake of
06:51the multiverse. And she succeeded, with the help of her friends. So she had no choice but to disappear
06:59into space to find her own destiny and finally settle the matter with soccer himself. As she approached
07:05Makar, soccer and his family were already waiting for her. He nodded in understanding, and tears
07:12of relief welled up in her eyes. He took her by the hand and introduced her to his wife and their
07:18three children. The youngest, in particular, has always held a special place in her heart,
07:24with her gorgeous, wide, oversized cape.
07:27My name is Kara. The daughter of Allura and Zor. I am and always will be the supergirl.
07:35Your peace-loving, free-spirited gal. For those who try to upset me, the worst nightmare imaginable.
07:42And you definitely, don't want to see me like this. And you know that.
07:47The end but not forever.
