Are you excited or unfazed about Oasis reuniting? What are your favourite Oasis songs and do you or anyone you know have tickets to see them?
Transcript
00:00I said maybe, you're going to be the one that saves me, and after all, you're my wonderwall.
00:16Everyone knows Oasis, everyone knows that one song, whether you're out and about, and you hear it, and you sing it.
00:23I do like them, they can be quite annoying, yes.
00:27And I do believe that they're coming back to get money, and must need money, to be coming back this late.
00:36And I think they're coming back for the fans.
00:40I mean, I like Oasis, great band, great songs.
00:43Don't see the hype over the big sales, like, I don't know why they're charging £600 to go see them for a gig.
00:49They're a ticket master's fault, to be fair.
00:51Yeah, Oasis, yeah, I know they're immensely popular, but they never came to see my trio, so I decided not to go and see theirs.
01:00It was only fair.
01:01But I know they're very popular amongst people of a certain, like, 30s maybe, 40s even.
01:10But being a jazz fan, I'm not really keen on their music.
01:16I know people compare them to the Beatles, but not quite as inventive as the Beatles.
01:26But the songs are okay.
01:29You know, they're as good as most pop groups, I think.
01:33I think I've heard, like, one of their songs, but that's it.
01:36Yeah, I don't know them that well.
01:37Yeah, me neither, but I have a friend that's a really big fan, and she, I think she cried, something like that.
01:46So I'm happy for her, I'm happy for all the fans that love them, so, yeah, congratulations to the Oasis, I guess.
01:54No, I was probably a bit younger, I was probably only about 10 at the time, in the late 90s, when they were in the peak.
02:00So, never been a massive fan.
02:02Like their music, but it's not something I would pay hundreds of pounds to go and see.
02:07But glad they've come back, and it's been a lot of joy to a lot of people, and more about the Halcyon days, maybe, than anything else.
02:14But, yeah, no, it's, that's about it, really.
02:16I think it's good.
02:17I mean, it's good that they're back together.
02:19I'm not a fan, I like their music, but I wouldn't pay to see them.
02:23I think the fans have been wanting them to get back together to do a reunion tour for a long time,
02:27so it's nice to see that they've buried the hatchet, and they're actually doing it.
02:31I love them.
02:32They're very special for me, because I actually won a high school talent show singing half the world away.
02:38Do you want to give us a rendition?
02:39No.
02:39Okay.
02:40You have to pay for that.
02:42Big tonight.
02:43Don't worry.
02:43Come down.
02:45Yeah.
02:46Just, I think they're really cool.
02:48Some people say they're a bit, like, simple.
02:51Great band, but I'm not, I'm not that indie.
02:54I was a little bit indie when I was younger, from that generation, which was,
02:57either indie or hip-hop, I was on the hip-hop side.
