00:00Dear viewers, have you ever seen a man with a fake degree case, a contempt notice from the Supreme Court and a history of insulting women MPs lecture Maharashtra about respect?
00:12I will show you that man. But before that, hello, I'm Tejas and you're watching Honest Take on Lokmat Times.
00:18Today, we need to talk about Nishikan Dubey.
00:21Because while sitting comfortably in Delhi, this man decided to open his mouth and insult an entire state.
00:28And not just any state, but Maharashtra, the state that sends the highest GST to the center, fuels your government's projects and keeps the country's financial capital running while you fly around on our tax money, Mr. Dubey.
00:43Yet you say, you people are surviving on our money. Wow, the entitlement.
00:48But before we get into the nonsense Dubey has been spewing about Marathi, Maharashtra and Mumbai, hit that subscribe button and press the bell icon.
00:56Because here on Honest Take, we call out leaders who think they can disrespect an entire state and get away with it.
01:03BJP MP from Jharkand's Goda constituency, Nishikan Dubey, stirred up a hornet's nest by jumping into the Hindi imposition controversy.
01:12He not only attacked the Raj Uddhav Thakre duo for their stance against mandatory Hindi in schools, he even issued threats.
01:20Dubey says, if you are so brave, come out of Maharashtra.
01:24Come to Bihar, UP, Tamil Nadu, patak patak ke maarenghe.
01:28This isn't a dialogue from a 90s Sunny Deol movie.
01:31This is a member of parliament talking like a street bully with a mic in hand, trying to play a hero in the name of Hindi pride.
01:39You know, what is even more amusing, he tells Marathi people to beat up Urdu speakers if they truly have guts.
01:47Wow, kya logic hai.
01:48So now, you want to pit Marathi against Urdu, Hindi against Marathi, North against West.
01:54Also, you can win a few retweets and headlines before the Bihar elections.
01:58And then, to top it all, this MP compared the Shiosena UBT, MNS and NCPSP to terrorists like Dawud Ibrahim and Masood Azhar saying they are committing atrocities against Hindi speakers.
02:11Boss, let's get one thing clear.
02:13Fighting for linguistic identity in your own state is not terrorism.
02:18It's a democratic right whether you agree with Raj Takre's methods or not.
02:22And since you are so fond of lecturing Maharashtra, let's talk about you for a second, Dubeji.
02:28This is the same Nishikan Dube who has a pending fake degree controversy.
02:32You know, the MBA from FMS Delhi claim that doesn't exist as per RTI replies.
02:38The same Dube who goes around parliament questioning others' legitimacy while carrying a question mark on his own bio.
02:45The same Nishikan Dube who has been accused of disrespecting women in parliament who uses cheap jibes against women MPs like Mahua Moitra,
02:55who has time to threaten entire communities but not enough time to clarify why his degree appears to be missing from Delhi University records.
03:05And let's not forget, this is the same Dube who thinks he knows more than the Supreme Court of India,
03:11who tells the judiciary it is provoking religious discord because of course only Dube has the right to provoke.
03:18Now let's get back to Maharashtra.
03:20Language is an emotional topic here but also a matter of survival.
03:25Contrary to the noise pumped out by national media,
03:28Marathi people in Maharashtra aren't out to force Hindi speakers to speak Marathi.
03:32Nor are they itching to beat them up for not knowing it.
03:37But let's be real, if you have lived here for 30 years,
03:40earned your living here, sent money back home and still say,
03:45why should we speak Marathi?
03:46Or Mumbai's language isn't just Marathi.
03:49Or worse, nahi bolenge Marathi, jo karna hai karo.
03:52Then don't expect people to quietly swallow that disrespect.
03:56Is violence the answer?
03:57Absolutely not.
03:59But is the casual disrespect towards Marathi justified from those who have built their lives here?
04:05No.
04:05The demand is simple.
04:07If you can't speak Marathi, fine.
04:09But at least don't insult it.
04:11But for politicians like Nishikan Dube,
04:13these demands are a chance to stoke division,
04:16to throw around patak patak ke marenge threats
04:18and pretend to be champions of Hindi
04:21while living off taxpayer money from the very states they mock.
04:26Maharashtra has its own problems.
04:28Nobody denies it.
04:29But it also has pride, history and contribution to this country's growth
04:33that people like Dube cannot erase with cheap lines and communal chipes.
04:38This state gave India industrial growth,
04:41Bollywood, financial strength and freedom fighters
04:44who fought for the same democracy
04:45that lets politicians like Dube speak nonsense today without consequences.
04:51If you truly respected Marathi Dubeji,
04:53you wouldn't have spoken the way you did.
04:55You wouldn't have belittled Maharashtra's contribution
04:58with your surviving on our money nonsense.
05:01You wouldn't have tried to divide Marathi speakers from others living in the state.
05:06And you certainly wouldn't have tried to incite violence in the name of language.
05:12You know what Maharashtra needs Dubeji?
05:14Not lectures, not threats, not your street fighter speeches.
05:18It needs respect for its people, their culture and their contribution to India's growth.
05:24And you know what India needs?
05:26Leaders who can solve real issues,
05:28not provoke Marathi versus Hindi fights for votes.
05:31Before you throw another threat or make another speech,
05:34take a look at your own record.
05:36Fix the credibility issues surrounding your fake degree claims.
05:40Apologize for your remarks against women.
05:43Think twice before belittling the judiciary of this country.
05:47And maybe, just maybe,
05:49learn to respect a state that has done far more for this country's economy
05:53than your threats ever will.
05:55I won't belittle your state jharkhand
05:57by comparing it with Maharashtra's contribution to the central's treasury.
06:02Because our culture doesn't allow us to do it.
06:05We respect every state and every language.
06:07And we expect the same from others who come to Maharashtra.
06:11That's all for now.
06:12This was your honest take with me, Tejas, on Lokmat Times.
06:15If you like this video, please like it, share it, comment on it.
06:19And stay tuned to Lokmat Times for more such stories.
06:21Thank you, Ben.
