00:01In Toa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree, you take on the role of Toa, that's me, child of the gods and protector of a wondrous village that resides at the base of the living sacred tree, Shinji.
00:13For ages, I lived among the villagers of Shinji, and over generations, our village grew to become so much more.
00:20They were my precious family, and this village was our home.
00:25But our peace and happiness wasn't to last.
00:28Far from our village, the evil god Magatsu had begun his spread of miasma throughout the lands.
00:34And from that poisoned haze, strange and mysterious creatures emerged.
00:39The Magaori.
00:40These beasts leaked terror and destruction in their wake.
00:43They continued to claim more and more land, and finally, the sinister hand of Magatsu cracked close to our Shinji village.
00:51But our spirits will not be broken.
00:53To avert this crisis, Shinji has bestowed upon us a divine proclamation.
00:59I am to gather eight trusted companions from the village, prayer children, as the villagers call them, and together we will confront Magatsu and bring them to their knees.
01:08We were granted by the sacred tree a special staff and swords.
01:13The Tsurugi wielded their swords to defeat foes, and the Kagura supported them with mythical skills through their staff, setting out on a journey to distant lands to defeat Magatsu.
01:24Yet, this task has been harder than we thought, and time after time we have been met with defeat.
01:29But not all is lost.
01:31It is Shinji's gifts that propel us forward, as I have been bestowed the powers to turn back time so we may confront Magatsu once again until victory is certain.
01:41And at last, after countless challenges, we finally arrived at where Magatsu awaited.
