00:23And make no mistake, for these four sides, the heat is about to get turned up.

00:37Cunaballi finding space and it's in, Marcos Leonardo!
00:44Here's Hikulis!
00:49Fluminense are through!
00:51Parma, lovely turn, Cole Parma setting himself up and getting the goal for Chelsea!
01:01Zestep out of the touch, it's good, the shot's even better!
01:04Wow!
01:07It's right across, oh!
01:10Malo Gustav restores their lead!
01:13Chelsea are into the semi-finals!
01:15Dewey's there!
01:18PSG have the breakthrough in Atlanta!
01:20Oh, the referee, with the red card in his hand!
01:24There's another red card, Lucas Hernandez!
01:27Asha Fakimi, Osmar Dembele!
01:29What a moment!
01:30In the Mercedes-Benz Stadium!
01:31PSG are through to the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup!
01:44Well called!
01:47Ada Goulet!
01:49Oh, he's there again!
01:50Gonzalo Garcia!
01:52In by Trent Alexander-Arnold!
01:55And Fran Garcia!
01:57Only half clear, this is Maxi Bayer!
02:02The cross, Mbappe!
02:03So, Helson Red, no attempt to play the ball!
02:09Goes high!
02:10And finds the target!
02:12Oh, what a safety by Bourgeois!
02:14And that is that!
02:16Real Madrid are now only one game from the final!
02:24Joining us on this episode, Mayor Alquadri, how are you Val?
02:27I'm well, how are you?
02:28Great, great to have you with us!
02:29Thank you!
02:30Yes, Bouzidi is back once again!
02:33Mate, what have you made in the quarter-finals?
02:35Incredible games!
02:36Obviously, we've done it with the press as well too, so shout out to that!
02:38But now, back here and getting ready to talk about the games!
02:41Great to have you both with us on this episode!
02:43We should start, however, by marking a tragedy that really did hit the world of football last week.
02:50The sad passing of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre following a car crash in Spain.
02:55The world of football has come out to mourn two of the game's most loved individuals.
03:00Diogo, of course, was a Premier League winner with Liverpool Football Club.
03:03He was heading back for pre-season when his car crashed in Spain.
03:08Lies, you've followed Diogo's career quite closely.
03:12He just brought joy to everyone, didn't he?
03:14In the way he played and the way he carried himself.
03:16No, absolutely. A wonderful player, a Portuguese international as well too.
03:19Let's not forget, he won the Nations League as of late.
03:21I think all you need to see is the outpour of tributes throughout the footballing world.
03:26We saw Mbappe and Dembele as well, two dedicating celebrations, to kind of showcase what kind of person this guy was.
03:32Amaro, the world of football, I mean, naturally has seen an outpouring of emotion.
03:36What have you witnessed? What have you seen?
03:39I think I've seen a collective coming together of everyone within football.
03:45It's a really poignant moment that you don't ever expect it to happen, someone that you're watching in real time to pass alongside a family member.
03:54It is really saddening.
03:55I think at a time like this, what's been really, really cutting through is that there's this collective feeling of people realising that there is more to life than football.
04:04It's been refreshing to see everyone be super respectful but reminisce on what a great human being he was and it's a hard time for everyone in football.
04:14He put smiles on faces.
04:15He did, he did.
04:16He really did do.
04:17And DAZN joins the rest of the football family in wishing the very best sending love and thoughts to the family of Diogo Jota and his brother Andre who have sadly both passed away.
04:28So our first stop on our quarter-final review with Fluminense beating Al-Hilal 2-1.
04:37Let's hear from our reporter, Matt Farias.
04:39They have done it!
04:41Fluminense advances to the semi-final of the FIFA Club World Cup and this is why we love this game.
04:46Underdark versus Inter Milan, it doesn't matter.
04:48Underdark versus Al-Hilal, it doesn't matter.
04:50At the end of the day, as Renato Portalupe, the coach of Fluminense says, it's all about who wants it more.
04:54Let me tell you, this team wants it, the fans want it and now they'll be going to MetLife Stadium for the semi-final match against Chelsea.
05:01What a game!
05:03Great energy there from Matt Maoa.
05:06I mean, purely.
05:07Through the roof.
05:08Naturally as well.
05:09Look at the atmosphere.
05:10It's a big moment.
05:11It's a big, big moment if you think about it.
05:13Representing the nation, as you said, again and again and again, they've managed to just get through and I can see why he's bubbling because all of their fans are as well.
05:22Fluminense, the underdogs versus what I call the swagger of Al-Hilal.
05:27And it was the veterans that got them through, Niaz.
05:30I mean, it's one of the oldest teams at the tournament, if not the oldest.
05:33They got Thiago Silva back there, but their goalkeeper is actually the one I think is going under the radar.
05:3744 years old.
05:39The most clean sheets in football history.
05:41The guy is, talk about veterans.
05:43My goodness.
05:44Hell yeah, numbers.
05:45Clean sheets.
05:46I looked at the numbers.
05:47I was like, that's a lot.
05:48That's a lot, man.
05:49But no, I mean, Fluminense have been an absolute joy at this tournament.
05:52But I think that veteran leadership and the experience as well, too, has really done well for them in lockout football because they just know how to get through these kinds of games.
06:00The Samba beat still very much going at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
06:05Chelsea are also through to the semi-finals.
06:08They beat Palmeiras.
06:09Let's hear from our reporter, Kweko Afare.
06:12Chelsea are through to the semi-final of the Club World Cup.
06:16They beat Palmeiras 2-1 here in Philadelphia.
06:19A first-half goal for Cole Palmer and an own goal in the second half have secured Chelsea's place in the Final Four.
06:25They take on Thiago Silva's Fluminense in the semi-final.
06:30Can they win it?
06:31Stay tuned to the zone to find out.
06:34Mero Estrechi on Chelsea.
06:35Ja Pedro coming in.
06:36Another signing.
06:38Another signing.
06:39But he looked at home.
06:40He looked decent.
06:41He got stuck in.
06:42I think that's been the nature of Chelsea's tournament.
06:45They've brought in players, thrown them in, and they've really built into this tournament.
06:49It's a very young squad that is getting results and, you know, fresh off winning the trophy,
06:54they look like they want to win another trophy.
06:56And, of course, it's an interesting game when you're playing against a future player and he scores a goal like that.
07:00And that's three-man-of-the-match performances for Esteval at this tournament.
07:03But it just goes to show that they really want to do something here.
07:06They recognise the moment it is.
07:08You can hear Cole talking about, we want to win trophies.
07:10I suspect that they feel that they can win this.
07:13Loads of talk of Abel Ferreira and Esteval and Palmeiras coming into the tournament.
07:18What have you made of their campaign?
07:20I think they've really done a good showing, to be honest with you.
07:23I think Esteval, for a 17-year-old, sometimes I look at him and I think that's a lot of pressure to be putting on a young kid like that.
07:29And I thought he had a decent tournament.
07:30I know he had the three superior players of the matches, but I don't think he was Palmeiras' best player at all times.
07:36I actually look at Richard Rios and I thought he was amazing.
07:39But give credit to Esteval doing that against your former team on a stage like that when, again, all the eyes are on you.
07:44It takes a lot.
07:45And Palmeiras have made a really good showing, but unfortunately the road ends here.
07:48So, Mayo, Chelsea to take on Fluminense in the semi-finals of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025.
07:55And it's the return of an old friend, isn't it?
07:57Thiago Silva, the old war horse against his old club.
08:01The legend, man.
08:02He wasn't at the club for a long time, but he is deemed a legend.
08:05In my eyes, that is a future Chelsea manager.
08:08There's no...
08:09I mean, there's no comms about it.
08:10He's learning his English.
08:11His family's still in London.
08:12So, I think it's a big game.
08:13It's a big reunion, of course.
08:15It's going to be tricky.
08:16I mean, you've got suspensions to De Lape.
08:18You've got suspension to Colwell.
08:20But they've been making loads of signings, so players can come in.
08:23Be interesting to see what happens with Rhys James.
08:24He didn't play.
08:25He's saying he is fit to play in the next game.
08:27So, does he go back in central midfield?
08:29Does he come into right-back?
08:30Marescu has tried a lot so far in this tournament.
08:33He's treated it like a mini pre-season, but all of the signs have shown that
08:36he is finding new ways to operate with this team.
08:38So, it'll be exciting.
08:40With Enze Marescu, it feels like an experiment every single match day.
08:45You don't know what Chelsea's going to turn up, how they're going to play
08:48and what style.
08:49The question is, is the pressure on them because of the stature of the club?
08:53I mean, they come into this game as overwhelming favourites.
08:56Let's be real.
08:57But the problem for them, I think, is that every team that's come up against
08:59Fluminense this tournament have been big favourites.
09:01Dortmund were favourites and they couldn't beat them.
09:04Inter, now Al-Hilal as well too.
09:06So, again, this isn't a side that are afraid to secede possession.
09:10They're very happy to do so.
09:11And I look at this and I think it is experience versus youth,
09:15but I look at Chelsea and I just think they have a bit too much quality.
09:18They could be on their way to the final.
09:20On the other side of the draw, we saw a heavyweight clash between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich.
09:26PSG winning that one 2-0.
09:29With more, here's our reporter, Georges Quirinho Chavez.
09:32Hello everybody.
09:33What I can tell you is that the PSG players were very happy after this win against Bayern Munich.
09:40Captain Marquinhos told us it was a very important win after an intense game.
09:45A bit of revenge after past defeat against Bayern.
09:49Luis Enrique said he was very proud of his team.
09:52Ousmane Dembélé scored a goal and this is important for the Ballon d'Or, you know.
09:58So, everything is perfect or nearly perfect because of these two red cards for PSG,
10:03for Lucas Hernandez and for Pacho, William Pacho.
10:06So, well, we will see how Luis Enrique will fix it.
10:10But now for PSG, to New York for the semi-finals.
10:14Straight to it, guys. What about this was a great contest between two of European football's heavyweights.
10:20Liesa Kamchi straight away.
10:22Can anyone stop Paris Saint-Germain?
10:25Right now, I look around Europe and they are without a doubt the best team.
10:29And by a good distance in my opinion as well too.
10:31But it's not just the fact that they keep winning.
10:33The style in which they win.
10:35I challenge you guys really to name me a team in the last few years that, throughout their side,
10:39they see so much rotation and possession as PSG.
10:41You see Hakimi playing right back, then midfield, then right wing, then number 10.
10:45And then I see him in centre-forward positions.
10:47When he moves, someone else takes his place.
10:49And then someone takes...
10:50They're such a fluid machine at the moment.
10:51And then when you have Dembele, a Ballon d'Or contender.
10:53Maybe the Ballon d'Or favourite.
10:55Returning to action and scoring the way he does.
10:57Real Madrid will be the next opposition, obviously.
10:59But I worry for them and I worry for everyone else.
11:01They are machine-like in everything they do.
11:03So well-drilled by Luis Enrique.
11:05Really well-drilled.
11:06I got to see them out in Club World Cup against Seattle, actually, whilst I was reporting.
11:09And you can just see they have confidence in what they're doing.
11:13What I really liked about this win in particular was they've done it at the depth.
11:16They're willing to do whatever they need to do and keep confidence in the system.
11:20And I think that's why it's a worry for any team in the world.
11:23They won't falter from what they're doing.
11:25The final team to secure their spot in the semi-finals was Real Madrid with a 3-2 victory over Borussia Dortmund.
11:32With more, here's our reporter Matt Cannon.
11:35Real Madrid have done it.
11:36They are through to the semi-finals of this FIFA Club World Cup.
11:40And to be honest, they controlled the game up until the 90th minute.
11:43They went two goals up courtesy of yet another Gonzalo Garcia goal and a goal from an unexpected hero from Fran Garcia.
11:51But they did suffer.
11:52They did sweat a little bit at the end.
11:54Dortmund managed to score a couple of goals.
11:56But it was Kylian Mbappe with a gorgeous bicycle kick.
11:59What a way to mark his return that saw Real Madrid walk away with the win.
12:04That is it.
12:05Real Madrid are through to the semi-finals.
12:07Lots of excitement to see them take on PSG here in New Jersey.
12:11So Xabi Alonso's new look, Real Madrid through to the semi-finals of the Club World Cup 2025.
12:17Lies, everyone, however, is looking at Gonzalo Garcia.
12:20This kid.
12:21There's some players that are just born to score goals.
12:24He is one of those players.
12:25He's always in the right place at the right time.
12:27And that comes through a real instinct, a real hunger to score goals.
12:31And his finishing on top of that.
12:32He has the finishing, the ruthlessness of a player six years his elder.
12:36So at the moment, obviously, they're bringing back Kylian Mbappe slowly.
12:40But surely he, of course, scored a wonderful goal.
12:42And we know he's one of the best players in the world.
12:44But this kid, Gonzalo Garcia, for someone who has such a huge presence,
12:47kind of waiting in his background, waiting for him to slip up to get that opportunity.
12:51It doesn't feel like he feels that pressure whatsoever.
12:53I've been so impressed.
12:54And I think if you're looking at a player who's really marked this tournament as his own,
12:57it has to be him.
12:58Mayor, talk to me about Real Madrid.
13:00Particularly towards the end of that game, we saw a red card for Tienhausen.
13:04Did they kind of lose control a bit?
13:06I think it turned into silly hours.
13:08What I've seen of Real Madrid over this tournament is a team that is downloading the information.
13:13You know, like when you get a new phone and you're doing an update.
13:16That's what they're doing.
13:17They're learning new coaching patterns.
13:18Xabi Alonso is saying, we're going to do five at the back.
13:20We're going to do this, we're going to do that.
13:21And unlike a PSG, what we spoke about, there's not the full confidence in it yet.
13:25So when something goes a bit left, there's a bit of panic.
13:27But they're playing really well.
13:29The young players in particular are standing up.
13:31Good team and good place to be in for them.
13:33So the second semi-final is an absolutely mouth-watering clash.
13:38Two giants of European football meet for a place in the Club World Cup final.
13:43Elias, break this one down for us.
13:46I mean, the current Champions League holders versus the record Champions League winners.
13:50Mbappe versus his former side.
13:52There's so many different storylines here.
13:54But I think ultimately, when you look at both sides, it's a team that really is familiar with where they are.
13:59They know their system.
14:00They know everything about themselves to the max.
14:02Versus a side that has grown into this tournament game in, game out, right?
14:05In the first few moments under Alonso, I think there were a few hiccups.
14:09And then he switched the new system.
14:10And again, a few more hiccups.
14:11But right now, especially the game they just played against Dortmund, that looked like them at their best so far.
14:16But ultimately, I think this game will be won in the midfield.
14:18Arda Goulair has made a huge impact.
14:20But when you look at Vitinha, you look at Neves, you look at Fabian Ruiz as well, too.
14:25I think ultimately that could be the difference.
14:27And if I have to pick midfield versus midfield, Madrid's is great.
14:30But I think PSG is just a bit more confident in themselves at the moment.
14:33So anyone that knows Alonso very well knows that in terms of his managerial style, he's all about coaching.
14:39But he is a coach that's about moments.
14:41You look at what he did with Bayer Leverkusen, key moments about defeating key opposition.
14:46And I think in terms of trying to create what he wants to create real, this is the perfect opportunity to put a line in the sand and say, I'm in business here.
14:54I think in terms of facing a well-oiled machine against PSG, it's going to be difficult.
14:58But one thing he does have is game-changers in abundance.
15:02We still haven't seen Jude at his best.
15:05Mbappe is warming up.
15:07And of course, as you mentioned, we've got the top goalscorer of the tournament so far.
15:11There are things that Madrid can look to to be really pivotal in this game.
15:16And I think they could cause a surprise.
15:18So guys, prediction time.
15:19I've got to ask you who you believe will be seeing play in the MetLife Stadium in the FIFA Club World Cup Final 2025.
15:27I'd go Chelsea on one side.
15:30I think they'll have too much for Fluminense.
15:32But the Real Madrid-PSG one.
15:35I think I'd go PSG as well, too.
15:37I think they're so, so good at the moment.
15:39I think they'll have a little too much for Real Madrid.
15:41So honestly, I expect PSG versus Chelsea.
15:44I've got Chelsea.
15:45I think it'll be a tough game, though.
15:46I don't think it will be a walkover.
15:49I think it will go the distance in actual fact.
15:52They're going to be up against a really resilient side.
15:54And I think this is the game where Real Madrid announced their new era.
15:58I think PSG are a very, very tough, competent side.
