03:46This Google is placing them on our channel because they know we're bringing a certain amount of viewership.

03:49We're creating content for Google to be able to place ads on our video.

03:53I can go into monetization and I can actually put different ad breaks all across my video.

03:59I'll probably usually put like three in, you know.

04:03Does YouTube ever keep a portion of your earnings?

04:09Like they make a lot of money.

04:11YouTube makes so much money from creators.

04:16This business has changed so much.

04:18Very few creators that started when we started.

04:21Income is the same as it used to be.

04:29You have over 100,000 subscribers and you don't even know what you're doing.

07:27A lot of these people, like, they flaunt their success.

07:31A lot of us have way more subscribers than us, but they're doing all pranks.

07:34And, you know, we don't do any of that stuff.

07:36We did see a shift in what YouTube was pushing.

07:42Some of the channels that got big or had millions of views.

07:45All they did was prank each other.

07:49People do not care about the thoughtful videos.

07:52People want to watch videos about kids falling off a bike, not learning how to ride a bike.

07:56A kid fell off the stairs and, like, we had to rush him to the ER.

08:00This is a lot of the stuff that works.

08:01I've said this before, is that we're one of the strongest creators on YouTube, period, as far as in the family space.

08:09But we might be missing out on opportunities to get more subscribers.

08:12That's how we need to speak to people.

08:14I think the pressure can be immense, you know.

08:16You want to make a video that makes $10,000 or $30.
