00:07Now we're taking some Werther's caramel, right?

00:19Now we have the popcorn kernels. Tell me when.

00:27All right. Let me get this a little stir in.
00:32Oh look how thick this is all getting. You see this?
00:35Getting so thick.
00:38Yep. I'm still keeping my egg in the middle right here. That'll be very important.
00:42I'm just going to rotate the egg a little bit.

00:45Get the rest of these all in here.
00:48So this is caramel popcorn but it's got an egg.
00:52Exactly.
00:53So that's going to be something special that we've never seen.

01:46Now for people who have never made caramel corn before, there's a few ways to do it.
01:51What I'm doing here, using the Werther's, I do these because I love these candies.
01:56These candies are just delicious, right?

02:02And also as far as the popcorn goes, they have all different types of popcorn.
02:06I just like the basic cheapest one.
02:08I don't think it's necessary to get the really nice popcorn, especially with all the things
02:12that we're going to flavor it with.
02:14You don't really need high-end popcorn.
02:16The beauty of this is it works with any popcorn.
02:18So I just get the cheapest popcorn possible.
02:20But I do spend on the actual caramel because that part matters.
02:23Okay.
02:24Got a little stir.
02:25You'll see our waters.

02:28Right there.
02:29Very melty.
02:30Getting a little melty.
02:32This is getting hot.

02:34I just want to make sure these big clumps like this, I want to make sure these get spread

04:12is really boiling there let me show you a piece of this corn see that in a minute here that's
04:17going to go nuts it's going to get crazy it's going to be popping wow look at that
04:30it's really popping in there it's like sizzling
04:35now do you say caramel or caramel well i kind of change it each time i say it i usually say caramel
04:42caramel caramel i don't know what do you say what do you guys say i like to say caramel
04:47but i know that oh my goodness wow oh my god you guys can't smell this at home but this smells
04:55so good oh there it goes get it down it's gonna be popping
05:05okay here we go look at it go i'm gonna turn this okay ready watch it watch it now yeah and you do
05:12need to be careful when you're doing this and the lid is important yes you will get some overspill
05:18yeah it will shoot up and can hit you in the face and that caramel is hot as heck

05:33i cannot wait now this egg right in the middle see that egg yeah the egg has not had its moment yet
05:40okay and you can tell as soon as the popcorn pops it just drenches gets drenched in that caramel like that
05:49one right there that one's about to get submerged completely into the caramel this is amazing if
05:55you want you can give your pen a little bit of movement here okay okay you'll be very careful
06:00though again so careful it's very hot
06:09and let me show you what one of these pieces looks like when it's done okay oh my gosh oh it's
06:13really starting to pop now yeah they're popping all over so yeah here we go like once it starts
06:19popping you know it happens it's like chain reaction right here we go watch it it's like one pop sets
06:28off another pop get a little bit of motion here take those oh my goodness yep they are popping

08:31not fully popped yet but i'm gonna take this egg okay so you get this egg out of here i'm gonna fork
08:37really quick oh my god there it is okay crack open or anything okay just gonna give the egg a little
08:45one of those there it goes you can get rid of that easy huh oh okay and then watch okay
08:50i'm just gonna take a little bit of this in the bowl
08:57a little bit more oh my goodness it is covered in caramel you ready for this i'm so ready
09:04and you'll see it seemed like a lot of caramel a lot of butter at first but look
09:07once it actually pops on the corn it's not that caramely is it and this is a lot of popcorn too
09:14it's perfect it's a moment of truth you ready so we're gonna find the perfect piece okay popcorn
09:21especially caramel corn is all about finding the perfect piece you want to find one that's not
09:25totally covered oh boy that's hot most important part ready hot corn hot popcorn look at that look at
09:34that a little bit of sea salt oh yeah i always say put it on with your hand rather than this because if
09:40you put it on with this it congeals in one place right a little bit of this right over the top of
09:46it over that as well okay okay you ready give it a little toss and this that makes two servings
09:56okay let's find the perfect piece ready i'm gonna i'll try it ready this one right here that's perfect
