00:00Unbelievable performance, first hat-trick for Derry City and what was the right performance?
00:10Yeah, I think it was unbelievable, especially first half, just the football we played and the chances we were creating.
00:16I think it was sort of the freedom was there, you could see it, everyone was in all sorts of different positions,
00:22people were changing positions and we were just causing problems, but we always had the thread in behind
00:26and I think that was probably the reason for the three of the goals in the first half, they were all cutbacks to the edge of the box and finishing.
00:32Yeah, I think it was just a brilliant performance all around.
00:35Yeah, the front three, as Ali Mattel said, you know, the front three of yourself and Gavin,
00:40he has three left for defences and you really are starting to be something like to bring the lane out, do you think?
00:46Yeah, me and Gavin's obviously when we came at the start of the season and we have new players all over the pitch
00:51and it sort of does take time to gel and get to know people and get to know what they like to do
00:55and I think you can just sort of see that, I think we've played four games in a row now together
01:00and we sort of know what we want to do to teams and if one of us had to sacrifice for the other one
01:05we're sort of starting to do that now and you can just see it coming to fruition now
01:08and obviously we all scored tonight, so it's a good confidence boost for all of us.
01:12And your goals, which was your favourite, because obviously the big strikers first, I think your last one was right too,
01:17obviously going for the Hatcher, pre-balling by Gavin as well too far.
01:20Yeah, I'd say the last one was probably the hardest, obviously the ones getting cut back to you,
01:25you've had a long time to think about what you're going to do, so you just try and keep it low
01:28but just with the great ball from Gavin and I think the way it bounced in front of me,
01:32it's obviously difficult on a plastic pitch, you don't know what way it's going to bounce
01:35but just to keep that down and I was so close to keeping it up and in, so I'd probably say the last one.
01:39It's an 8-foot season now, isn't it, so it's that bad, it's running if you want on the double figures.
01:43Yeah, I think it's football isn't it, like one week you don't score and you feel down the dumps or whatever
01:48and then next week you score a hat-trick, I just need to keep getting in the position to get my best chance to score
01:53and hopefully I start taking him and I'll score three tonight, so it's a bit of confidence.
01:57Yeah, obviously we've just played a lot, but it's an 8-point split, a game at hand.
02:01If you're running under the radar, you can't really know at this stage, we're 10 goals in three games.
02:06Yeah, no, listen, we just concentrate on what we're doing and as I've said in other interviews,
02:12I think since the split, the main thing is we've been working hard, no matter if,
02:16obviously tonight you see the football side of it and the last three games, I think there was long spells of the game
02:23where we had to battle and we weren't really playing well with the ball
02:25and we're battling and fighting for each other and I think that's the most important thing.
02:29We have the players who can hurt teams as long as we're fighting for each other
02:32and trying to keep clean sheets, we'll be in any game.
02:34I don't think Liam the goal, but he's got about 75 years of balls, so I'm one closer to him,
02:53but yeah, listen, if there's someone that deserves a testimony, it's Joe.
02:57He's one of the nicest guys you'll ever meet, he's quiet and he just loves flippin' ball through and through,
03:01so I can't wait to be a part of it and can't wait to celebrate Joe.
