Speaking on the final day of Ashura commemorations, Qassem said defending Lebanon’s sovereignty requires no foreign approval and warned against disarmament under U.S. pressure. While open to dialogue, he stressed that any peace must respect Lebanon’s dignity and resistance. The remarks come amid rising regional tensions and renewed calls for a security agreement.
