Perikatan Nasional chairman Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin has cast doubt on Umno’s ability to retain the 26 parliamentary seats it won in the 15th General Election (GE15).

Speaking to reporters after officiating the Bersatu Pagoh Division Conference on Sunday (July 6), Muhyiddin was responding to Umno Supreme Council member Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan’s claim that PN-led state governments in Perlis, Kedah, and Terengganu were unstable, creating an opportunity for Barisan Nasional and Pakatan Harapan to reclaim them in the next state elections.

Responding to Umno president Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi’s recent statement that the party intended to contest all seats currently held by Bersatu and PAS, Muhyiddin said he has no objection.

00:00Mr Tasri, in the morning, Dr Siamak Maslam said that 3 countries are FN Goyah,
00:05where the UMNO has been able to fight against the government.
00:09So what do you mean?
00:10It's not that he can fight against the government.
00:12He said that he can win a lot.
00:15We are realistic, pragmatic.
00:17We are looking at what is happening now.
00:21That most of the people of the world, especially the UMNO people,
00:25have taken away.
00:27So what is the question?
00:29Can't the UMNO be able to protect the 26 people?
00:31It's hard to say that we can take all the other people from the US.
00:34I agree.
00:36That's what I think.
00:37It's not a problem.
00:38We must have to do it.
00:40But we are confident in what is happening,
00:43the people who are going to be able to do the UMNO
00:47with the left of the original war,
00:50the support of the DAP,
00:53and the support of the UNNO and other issues
00:58and other issues that are supported by the UMNO
01:02in the PHBN.
01:03Because it doesn't help them.
01:06So it's okay.
01:07That's what he said.
01:08But this is what we have to do.
01:10And we are looking at our faces.
01:12Okay.
01:13Oh yeah.
01:14Sorry.
01:15Okay.
01:16So the UNNO,
01:18I hear about it.
01:19That's why I hear it.
01:28Thank you for the time.
01:30You
