00:00Kathy Griffin is going au naturel.

00:02The comedian, typically known for wearing bangs,

00:04is nearly unrecognizable while showcasing her long red locks

00:08with her hair completely out of her face

00:09for a sunny summer walk with a male friend near the beach.

00:12The 64-year-old also goes makeup-free for the cardio session.

00:16This isn't the first time Griffin has debuted a completely new hairstyle.

00:19In 2017, the My Life on the D-List alum shaved her head in solidarity

00:23with her late sister Joyce Griffin as she underwent chemotherapy at the time.

00:28Since then, Griffin has also been open about embracing wigs,

00:31especially after her own 2021 battle with lung cancer,

00:35which she has since made a full recovery from.

00:37No stranger to making headlines, the Outspoken star recently made a bombshell revelation

00:42about turning down a million-dollar offer to co-host The View years ago.

00:46She shared in a June 17th YouTube video,

00:49I really respect those women for going on that show day in and day out

00:52because they know there's blowback.

00:55And by the way, to this day, The View is one of the most buzzworthy shows

00:59on television or anywhere.

01:02People still get up in arms online talking about who said what on The View.

01:07So it's always been a high-stakes show.

01:10Eventually, I said to my agent,

01:11okay, tell them if they're going to offer me a permanent chair,

01:15please tell them to just offer me the chair or not.

01:18So they made me an offer, and the offer was for 1.4.

01:22And I am just going to be honest, I had to turn it down

01:26because at the time, between doing my life on The D-List and touring,

01:31I was making about 10 a year.

01:33And so I had to turn down The View because I would have had to uproot my whole life.

01:39My mom was still alive, and my dad might have still been alive, actually.

01:43And I didn't want to leave them.

01:45As for what longtime co-host and The View co-creator Barbara Walters

01:49thought of her business move?

01:50She did not like that one bit.

01:52She didn't care.

01:53They didn't up their offer by a penny.

01:55I think I might have said something like,

01:57can you meet me halfway?

01:58And they didn't.

01:59But there's the real story.

02:01I remember when they offered me the job,

02:03Barbara Walters said backstage one time,

02:05before we were about to go out and do the live show,

02:07they say we have chemistry.

02:10I don't really see it, but they say we do.

02:12And I loved that.

02:13I said, of course we do, Barbara.

02:14People love when I give you shit.

02:16And then she'd just roll her eyes.
