Israeli protesters rally against government, urge hostage deal
Israeli anti-government protesters took to the streets of Tel Aviv on Saturday, July 5, calling for the Israeli government to end the conflict in Gaza.
Many protesters waved Israeli flags while others carried signs criticizing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
Israel's prime minister is expected to meet with his war cabinet this evening to discuss a 60-day ceasefire, a day after Hamas said it had responded in "a positive spirit" to a U.S.-brokered Gaza ceasefire proposal and was prepared to enter into talks on implementing the deal, which envisages a release of hostages and negotiations on ending the conflict.
