Israeli protesters rally against government, urge hostage deal

Israeli anti-government protesters took to the streets of Tel Aviv on Saturday, July 5, calling for the Israeli government to end the conflict in Gaza.

Many protesters waved Israeli flags while others carried signs criticizing Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Israel's prime minister is expected to meet with his war cabinet this evening to discuss a 60-day ceasefire, a day after Hamas said it had responded in "a positive spirit" to a U.S.-brokered Gaza ceasefire proposal and was prepared to enter into talks on implementing the deal, which envisages a release of hostages and negotiations on ending the conflict.

00:0050 citizens kidnapped in Gaza and we are demonstrating that the government that
00:12forsake them on the 7th of October won't forsake them again. That's what they've
00:18been doing in the last two years. It's unbelievable. We have a prime minister
00:22who is trying to flee from court and in that purpose and to keep his coalition
00:29and to keep his power. He is sacrificing to death the kidnapped. He is sacrificing us,
00:37the citizens, that the war is keeping going on, a war for nothing that is causing victims
00:44on both sides, soldiers that are dying for nothing, innocent people in Gaza that are dying
00:51for nothing. And all that is because we have a dictator that wants to stay in power. I'm
01:01asking President Trump to help us to do the sinful thing, the humane thing. The only thing
01:11that should be done is to make our government end this helpless and hopeless war and to bring
01:18back all the kidnapped. That's the only way we will be able to begin to build ourselves
01:25again from this horrific massacre of the 7th of October. So we really ask President Trump,
01:32like he pressured to save the other kidnapped people that were in Gaza to finish the job,
01:40to see everything.
01:47I think that it must be a ceasefire in the same day. I am negative. I am against the fight in
02:00Gaza because only political agreement will serve the problem. So most of the citizens in Israel
02:09most of us want to stop the war and bring gas to this back.
02:39America is pointing to the West the West.
02:41America is coming from the West, Africa. You are there for the most people in Gaza.
02:46The West is in Gaza because only the two people in Gaza and brought ''I trust the
02:52U.S.!''
02:54in Gaza because of the Jordan of the Era of the East.
02:58America is where we are in Gaza and the Africaniser people in Gaza.
03:01In Gaza is from the West.
03:03America is in Gaza with some of us.
03:05America is lost and in Gaza and the U.S.
