No shelter, no refuge, just an endless burning land, The desert swallowed dreams, with heat that none could stand. But somewhere in the wind, there was a call, A whisper of water, beyond the desert’s wall. Through the endless dunes, they followed that sound, ‘Till the river’s lifeblood brought them to solid ground. They lived by the stars and the shifting desert winds, No city, no borders, only survival’s whims. But rumors spread fast, of waters pure and bright, A river carved through stone, like a beacon in the night. But somewhere in the wind, there was a call, A whisper of water, beyond the desert’s wall. Through the endless dunes, they followed that sound, ‘Till the river’s lifeblood brought them to solid ground. The river was found, and slowly they stayed, Built a home from the sand, and the price they had paid. From wanderers to settlers, the cities grew high, A testament to hope beneath the desert sky. Now the cities rise, but the desert still speaks, Of a time when the nomads’ strength was all they could keep. Though they’ve built their towers tall and grand, They’ll never forget the trials of the sand
