01:13Now, I have not been crowned this yet, because I think when you think of the Queen of somebody, you have to have 30 years under your belt.
01:25You have to have so much association with that holiday, that when you are known as, let's just say, oh, the Queen of Christmas...
01:35I know that all I want for Christmas is her.
01:50And the Queen of Christmas herself is right through those doors.

03:00May I let out a little secret that I had the privilege of, well, a couple things we did.

03:21And I was lucky enough to sort of, that's me on stage, tell the story.

03:36And, you know, we actually got the pleasure of being able to get on the phone and have
03:42some really nice, what ended up becoming, girl talks.

03:46At one point, I felt so comfortable and casual and natural speaking to you that I had moments
03:53of like, wait, I'm on the phone with Mariah Carey.
03:55And yet we're speaking like friends.
03:59Well, it's not like I don't look at you like, I've known her my whole life.

04:06Oh my gosh, I love this ensemble.

04:18I was like, how the heck do I meet Mariah in this moment?
04:26So Lee Harris got me a Lanvin dress.

04:31And, you know, this is the 30th anniversary of this Christmas album.

04:42I don't acknowledge them, but I, you know, yes, this is the 30th anniversary of the album.

04:54That's a sort of emblematic carbon copy of your cover of the album then.

05:04The only thing that strikes me at all as different is that your hair is lighter.

05:16It was an homage to the first album, the first Christmas album that I did.
05:21But you know, like, sometimes we see side-by-side pictures of then and now.
05:26And sometimes it makes us feel really good.
05:29And sometimes we're like, oh, okay.
05:31Yeah, I feel that way as well.
05:35Did this make you feel so good?
05:38Because when I'm looking, I'm like, oh, my God.
05:41You are just getting better and better.
05:43You look beautiful.
05:44You radiate health.
05:46You radiate empowerment.
05:49You know, you've lived a life in these last 30 years where you've brought people together
05:54every single holiday.
05:57And you've represented something so positive in a world that really needs that.

06:04I do love Christmas, like, more than anything.
06:08Not more than my kids, but, you know.

06:12And so being, I'm festive.

06:16Like, seeing you here, like, looking at this pumpkin and all this, everybody dressed up.

06:41Um, I know that at midnight on Halloween and me in my first year of really aspiring, I mean, we've done Halloween really big on this show every year.
06:51The reason I loved it as a kid, Halloween, was because I didn't grow up with a traditional family.
06:59And, to be honest, the holidays were very triggering for me.
07:04And, um, Thanksgivings with all these big families around the table, I just didn't have that.
07:10And then Christmas would come and it'd be like, what are you doing?
07:13What are you doing for your family, with your family presence?
07:15And I would just be that kid who just was like...
07:19Yeah.
07:19I don't know.
07:20So, Halloween was the most empowering.
07:24It didn't matter where you came from, who you belonged to.
07:28You just got to express yourself and be so, like, artistic and empowered.
07:34You didn't have to buy anybody any presents.
07:36It was just like, there was no baggage attached to it.
07:39It was a catapult to expression and not being judged for it.
07:44Mm-hmm.
07:44And that was sort of my origin story of why I fell in love with Halloween.

07:49Now, having kids myself, I am so all out.
