U.S. President Donald Trump delivered a highly anticipated Fourth of July address live from Washington D.C. as part of the America250 celebrations, marking the nation’s 249th birthday. In a speech filled with patriotic fervor, Trump honored America’s founding ideals while outlining ambitious plans for the Semiquincentennial in 2026. The president praised military veterans, first responders, and American workers, and touched on recent national victories in border security, energy independence, and economic growth. Trump also teased major upcoming events, including the “Patriot Games,” a sports tournament across all 50 states, and a proposed UFC title fight on White House grounds. His remarks blended national pride with political firepower, reigniting his re-election momentum and rallying his base. The event featured fireworks, military flyovers, and a record crowd waving flags under the D.C. sky — a show of unity and spectacle only Trump could deliver.

00:00The President, well, thank you very much.
00:01And that is some sight, especially after what
00:05happened just a week ago, when you look at that big,
00:08beautiful plane, and the other ones were something.
00:12It was an incredible mission.
00:14And I think I can say very proudly, and I don't have
00:18to quote the polls, that our country is more proud
00:21right now than it's been in many, many years.
00:24We have pride.
00:25We have dignity.
00:26We have something that's happened miraculously so fast.
00:32You know that our military now is the most sought-after job
00:36there has ever been being, serving in our military.
00:39One year ago, people didn't want to join our military.
00:42They didn't want to join our police, our firefighters.
00:46They didn't want to join anything having to do
00:48with our country, and now, as you probably know,
00:51the enlistment is at an all-time record.
00:54We're packed.
00:55We're full.
00:57And I just think that's so important because that was
01:01so sad one year ago when I heard those statistics.
01:06We had a different President, but nobody wanted to join.
01:10And now, we're at a record.
01:12And I will say that I just left NATO,
01:14where we had a tremendous experience.
01:16They've agreed to put up over a trillion dollars a year.
01:19They went from less than 2 percent to 5 percent,
01:22and nobody thought that was possible.
01:24And they told me very strongly the leaders of a big part
01:29of the world respected people all.
01:32They told me that, you know,
01:34one year ago your country was dead,
01:37and now you have the hottest country anywhere in the world.
01:41So that's the way it is, and that's the way we like it.
01:44And it's only going to get hotter.
01:46I promise you that.
01:48After that spectacular display of American power,
01:51let me just say that God bless the United States military,
01:56and God bless the USA.
01:58God bless the USA.
02:01And to all Americans, I want to wish you a very happy
02:05Independence Day, happy Fourth of July.
02:09This is going to be something special.
02:11You know, there's spirit in this country.
02:12We haven't seen anything like it in many, many years,
02:15in decades.
02:17Let me also express our gratitude
02:19to our magnificent First Ladies.
02:21You worked very hard to make this all work.
02:23And we have a fireworks display about 9 o'clock tonight.
02:31I hope you're all going to be around and watch it.
02:33I know our congressmen and our senators
02:35who are standing right here, so many of them,
02:37they did such a great job.
02:38They're going to be here, I guarantee you.
02:40They're not leaving.
02:41They're not leaving.
02:43Thanks as well to the National Park Service,
02:46the USO, and countless friends and distinguished guests.
02:49We have so many people in the audience
02:51that have so much to do with the success of our country.
02:54We've, I think, had probably the most successful
02:57almost six months as a president.
03:00And the presidency, I think they're saying
03:04it was the best six months.
03:05And I know for a fact they're saying the last two weeks
03:07there has never been anything like it
03:09as far as winning, winning, winning.
03:15So, as you know, two weeks ago,
03:17our incredible Air Force pilots conducted
03:20one of the most successful military strikes
03:22in all of history, Operation Midnight Hammer.
03:27And that's exactly what it was.
03:29It was a hammer.
03:31This evening, we're honored to be joined by 150 airmen
03:35and their families from Whiteman Air Force Base
03:38in Missouri, home of the B-2 bomber.
03:48And we've kept them a little bit on guard.
03:52We kept them a little bit.
03:53Let's be a little bit quiet about it.
03:55But if you want to raise your hand very quickly,
03:57raise your hand, because you people are just incredible.
04:04They don't want to be in disguise.
04:05You know, they say, we don't have to do that.
04:08They're looking at us like we're a bunch of babies.
04:10We don't have to be in disguise.
04:12We saw all those hands go up.
04:14Thank you very much.
04:15We owe you everything.
04:17Great job.
04:18Incredible.
04:18Just flawless.
04:20One of the most flawless military campaigns
04:22in the history of our country.
04:24If you remember years ago, they had helicopters
04:27crashing into each other.
04:28It was a disaster.
04:29The hostages in Iran.
04:32And we had just the opposite.
04:33We didn't have any crashes.
04:35We didn't lose any planes.
04:36We didn't lose anybody.
04:38Those beautiful planes that you saw were totally stealth.
04:42They flew right over the center of a very hostile country.
04:45And they never even saw it coming.
04:47And then they said, skedaddle.
04:50They dropped the bombs.
04:51They said, skedaddle.
04:52And that big sucker turned over like this on its side,
04:55and it got out of there.
04:57Well, I'll tell you what.
04:58How'd they do that?
04:59But they can do it.
05:01I asked our great general, Cain, how do they do that?
05:06Do they really love doing that?
05:07Look at them.
05:08They're all laughing.
05:09And they said, do they really like doing it, sir?
05:11They can't wait.
05:13Better you than me.
05:15That's all I can say.
05:17It was a flawless mission.
05:18Every single bomb hit, and it was total obliteration.
05:22Total obliteration.
05:24Now even the fake news is admitting that.
05:27They hated to admit it, but they had no choice.
05:30That was an incredible thing.
05:32And these heroic pilots showed our enemies what it means to fly,
05:37fight, and win to every service member who supported that mission.
05:41And we have many of them here.
05:43We've made you very, really, we've made you proud by supporting,
05:48but you've made us even prouder by having the courage
05:51to get in those gorgeous machines
05:54and fly through the roughest airspace anywhere in the world.
05:58And we salute you, and we honor you.
06:01Thank you very much for being here.
06:03And we're also honored and delighted to be joined
06:11by hundreds of service members and military families.
06:14Those families are the best we have from all across the U.S.
06:19Armed Forces, Army, Navy, Air Force, Space Force.
06:23I love the Space Force.
06:24You know why?
06:25Because we're the ones that did it.
06:27It turned out to be a very invaluable force, actually.
06:30The Coast Guard and the Marines are incredible people.
06:33On behalf of our entire nation, this Fourth of July,
06:36we thank you for keeping America safe, strong,
06:39sovereign, and free.
06:41Thank you very much for being here.
06:42Great honor.
06:45And stick around for the fireworks.
06:48And our country has had so much to celebrate this Independence Day
06:52as we enter our 249th year.
06:55America is winning, winning, winning like never before.
06:59We're not, I'll tell you, we're in a category now
07:01that's where we've wanted to be for a long time.
07:05We suffered with four horrible years of embarrassment.
07:09Afghanistan may be the most embarrassing moment in the history of our country.
07:13We're never going to let a thing like that happen again.
07:16Trillions of dollars are pouring into the United States for investment purposes.
07:20Almost $15 trillion.
07:23There's never been anything like it.
07:24There's never been anything even close.
07:26The stock market's at an all-time high.
07:29Jobs are at an all-time high.
07:31Everything's at an all-time high.
07:33And we're going to keep it that way.
07:35We have the greatest country in the world, and we're back.
07:38We're back like nobody thought possible this quickly.
07:41I thought it would take maybe a year, maybe two years, maybe even three.
07:46And we did it in less than six months.
07:48We are back and strong.
07:50We've restored American strength and deterrence on the world stage.
07:55We're respected again.
07:57The world is respecting us again.
07:58When we did NATO, those leaders came up to me and they said,
08:02you know what, we're going to go to a new level of spending
08:05because you're requesting it, sir.
08:07They didn't talk to you last, President, like that, I can tell you.
08:11They didn't spend any money.
08:12They didn't spend anything.
08:13And in a few moments, we're going to make official
08:16the greatest victory yet when I sign the one big, beautiful bill.
08:24And before I start, I want to tell you that I've never seen
08:29people so happy in our country because of that.
08:32Because so many different groups of people are being
08:35taking care of the military and civilians of all types,
08:39jobs of all types.
08:41We're adding things like the biggest tax cut
08:45in the history of our country, a child tax credits.
08:49So many things are being added that you,
08:51we wouldn't even have time to discuss them.
08:53When we were doing it, John Thune and Mike Johnson right there,
08:58I see Mike, what a job they've done.
09:00What a job they've done.
09:02But, you know, it was supposed to be in three, four, five,
09:07six, or seven different bills.
09:09And I was on one of the fake news shows, and I said,
09:13let's do it in one beautiful, big, one beautiful,
09:17we want one big, beautiful bill.
09:20I said that to this newscaster, and I think a lot of the
09:23congressmen and senators were watching, and they said,
09:25let's name the bill that, the one big, beautiful bill.
09:29And that's what we did, and what we've done is put
09:32everything into one bill.
09:33It's never happened before.
09:35It's the biggest bill of its type in history.
09:38We've never had anything like that before.
09:40Nothing like that they thought would be possible to get passed.
09:43And actually, I liked it because we had so much in there
09:47that no matter who you are, there was something in that bill
09:50that would make your congressman or your senator or your congresswoman,
09:54and much more importantly, raise their hand and support.
09:57Right, Lisa?
09:59So it was something, and it was really something special.
10:03So the American people gave us a historic mandate in November.
10:08We won everything.
10:08We won the swing states, all seven swing states.
10:12We won every one.
10:13That rarely happens.
10:14We won the popular vote.
10:16We won the districts, 2,750 to 505.
10:22That's why when you look at a map, it's all red,
10:24a little blue on each end, but it's all red.
10:28And, by the way, red means Republican, just in case.
10:33But we made promises, and it's really promises made,
10:37promises kept, and we've kept them.
10:39This is the triumph of democracy on the birthday of democracy.
10:44And I have to say that the people are happy.
10:47They're happy.
10:48And I listened to a broadcast, and I read a couple of articles.
10:51They have the Democrats.
10:53They should have voted for it.
10:55They didn't vote for tax cuts.
10:56They didn't vote for taking care of people.
10:58They didn't vote.
10:59Not one vote, and we knew that because their hatred of either
11:03the country or me or both is so great.
11:06They didn't vote at all, and it's terrible.
11:08But I just have to say, they have a routine.
11:12It's terrible, they say.
11:13Terrible, terrible.
11:14You saw that guy standing up for hours yesterday.
11:17Didn't know what he was even doing there.
11:19I say, once he's sitting down, he had a towel, he's wiping his face.
11:23That's not too elegant.
11:24But what is he, I said, what is he doing for so long?
11:28And he couldn't criticize the bill.
11:30He was criticizing everyone else and everything else.
11:33So they've developed, and this is according to the news media,
11:37they've developed a standard line,
11:38and we can't let them get away with it.
11:40Oh, it's dangerous.
11:42Oh, everybody's going to die.
11:44It's actually just the opposite.
11:46Everybody's going to live.
11:47This is just the opposite.
11:49And I just want you to know, if you see anything negative put out
11:52by Democrats, it's all a con job.
11:55And they said, and they compared it to just like the con job of
11:58Russia, Russia, Russia, and all of the other things they did.
12:02The 51 intelligence agents said, and the laptop from hell.
12:08It was, it came from Russia, they said.
12:10No, it didn't come.
12:11A lot of things come from Russia.
12:12That didn't come from Russia.
12:14And it was all proven out to be a fake job,
12:16and that's what they're doing with this.
12:18So we just have to look forward, fellas.
12:21Look forward and just say what it is,
12:23because it's the most popular bill ever signed in the history
12:28of our country, whether you're military or anybody else.
12:31This is the single most popular bill ever signed.
12:35And it includes the largest tax cut in American history,
12:40the largest spending cut, $1.7 trillion.
12:44And yet you won't even notice.
12:46It just wastes fraud and abuse in American history.
12:50So you have the biggest tax cut, the biggest spending cut,
12:52the largest border security investment in American history.
12:56We want to have strong borders.
12:58And the only thing is, we want to have great elections, too.
13:00You need strong borders and elections.
13:02And my people have promised me that we're going to go into elections,
13:06so we're going to make sure they're not rigged, that they're not sullied.
13:10We're going to make sure that the elections are going to be fair.
13:12You need two things.
13:13You need strong borders and you need fair elections.
13:16And we're going to make sure on the elections also.
13:18And our armed forces are one of the most vital military modernizations
13:24of all time.
13:24It will take place.
13:26So we rebuilt our military on our first term,
13:29and now we're going to modernize and remodernize our military,
13:32including building a great golden dome all over our land,
13:37so that if they get nasty with us, it's going to be knocked down.
13:40It's going to make any of the golden domes.
13:42They call them the iron domes.
13:44We're calling ours the golden dome, because we did the iron domes.
13:47And we do sort of everything, if you want to know the truth.
13:50But this blows it away.
13:52We're going to keep you safe.
13:53I want to thank every member of the House and Senate
13:55who worked to get this bill on my desk.
13:58And many of them are here.
13:59And I'm not going to mention all their names,
14:00because we'll be standing here.
14:02But I have to mention a few.
14:04And especially, I want to thank Vice President J.D. Vance,
14:08who has been fantastic.
14:12Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who has been incredible.
14:18We have somebody that is, he just, it was a passion.
14:21I think he actually loved it.
14:23It wasn't easy, but he loved it.
14:25Speaker of the House, Mike Johnson, who's right here.
14:29Speaker, thank you very much.
14:32Speaker of the House.
14:33What a job.
14:34And he worked so closely with the Senate Majority Leader,
14:36John Thune, who's a fantastic guy.
14:39And those two are a team that is not going to be beat.
14:42When you look at them and you look at their counterparts on the
14:45other side, it's not even close.
14:47I want to thank both of you people for doing an incredible job.
14:49Thank you very much, John and Mike.
14:52House Majority Leader, Steve Scalise, a brave man.
14:56Steve, you know, he suffered a tragedy a number of years ago.
15:01I was at his hospital bedside that night with Melania,
15:04with our First Lady, and he had no chance.
15:07The doctor said he has very little chance.
15:09And you look better today than you did then.
15:12You didn't look particularly good that night, I will say.
15:15But I learned one thing, his beautiful wife loved him.
15:18She was a disaster, right?
15:19I told him, I said, Steve, I can only tell you one thing.
15:23I was with your family and I was with your wife,
15:25and your wife was devastated.
15:28She loves you.
15:28I've seen a lot of wives that, you know, they don't seem to be
15:32so concerned in those situations.
15:34That's the kind of wife you don't want.
15:37But you have a great, beautiful wife who was really there,
15:39and you really have done, you're a very brave guy.
15:42And Mike and John and everybody that's standing with you knows it.
15:46Thank you very much.
15:47I really appreciate it.
15:48House Majority Whip, this is a guy who is great.
15:51When I have a problem, I call him up and he gets it done.
15:53He's a tough cookie.
15:55I don't know why he's not the governor of Minnesota.
15:58He comes from Minnesota.
15:59He's like, look, he goes, no, no, I don't want to run for governor.
16:03You know, come to think of it, I think that's a good idea.
16:05You would win so easily.
16:07The guy is terrible.
16:09You would win, you just have to take a look at that handsome face of yours
16:13and you'd win Tom Emmer, everybody.
16:15He did a great job.
16:18I think you should consider that, although we don't want to lose him, do we?
16:22We don't want to, let's say we are.
16:23I think say we are.
16:25What a job you did.
16:26And Senate Majority Whip, John Barrasso, who's incredible.
16:31Senate Finance Chairman, Mike Crapo.
16:34Thank you, Mike.
16:34What a job.
16:36What a job.
16:37He knows that tech stuff.
16:39Him and Jason, they really know their stuff.
16:41Senate Budget Committee Chairman, Lindsey Graham.
16:44What a good man he is.
16:47I see a poll.
16:48He's running in.
16:49I see a poll.
16:50He's 24 points up.
16:51That's not bad, Lindsey.
16:52That's not bad.
16:5324 points up in the great state of South Carolina.
16:57House Ways and Means Chairman, Jason Smith.
17:00What a job.
17:01Thank you, Jason.
17:03These are great patriots.
17:05I have to call them out.
17:06House Budget Committee Chairman, Jody Arrington.
17:09Jody, thank you very much.
17:10Jody has been good right from the beginning.
17:14And so many others.
17:15And they're all here.
17:16And they fully understand.
17:18Probably they'll never speak to me again, but that's okay.
17:22It is what it is.
17:23But I just want to thank everybody.
17:25A lot of senators here.
17:26A lot of congressmen and women here.
17:29Lisa, thank you very much, by the way.
17:31I have to thank you.
17:32Thank you very much.
17:33You've been fantastic.
17:34So this bill will fuel massive economic growth and lift up the hardworking citizens who make
17:39this country run.
17:41The factory workers, farmers, mechanics, waiters, waitresses, police officers, firefighters, coal
17:47miners.
17:48Coal is back.
17:49Beautiful.
17:50I said you can't use the word coal unless you proceed it by saying clean, beautiful coal.
17:56You know, China is right now building 68 coal-generating plants, and we're putting up wind, wind.
18:05It doesn't work.
18:06I will tell you.
18:07Aside from ruining our fields and our valleys and killing all the birds and being very weak
18:14and very expensive, all made in China.
18:16You know, I noticed something that with all of the windmills that China sends us, where
18:21we waste our money because it's the most expensive energy, I see that, you know, they make about
18:2695 percent of them, the wind turbines.
18:29I have never seen a wind farm in China.
18:33Why is that?
18:34Somebody check that out.
18:35Tom Emmer, would you please check that out?
18:37But all the coal miners we love and the truck drivers and this act, we have officially made
18:42the Trump tax cuts permanent.
18:45That's the largest tax cut in the history of our country added to substantial other cuts,
18:52which is going to, you're going to see like a rocket ship.
18:54You know, we're setting all sorts of economic records right now, and that's before this
18:58kicks in.
18:59After this kicks in, our country is going to be a rocket ship economically.
19:04And we've delivered no tax on tips, no tax on overtime, and no tax on Social Security for
19:11our great seniors.
19:12And that's why when you hear things like that, this is the most pop, it's the biggest bill of
19:19its kind ever done by far.
19:22But it's, we are going to have a situation, we are going to have something where people
19:27are going to realize the level of success and popularity of this bill.
19:31And sort of to close it out, it makes the child tax credit permanent for 40 million American
19:37families.
19:39And to increase the car affordability, it makes interest on a new car payment.
19:44So this had never happened before.
19:46You buy a car, you borrow money, you're allowed to deduct for income tax purposes, your payment
19:52of interest, you're allowed to deduct it.
19:54It's never happened before.
19:55So run out and buy a car.
19:57But I have to tell you, it's only good, Mike, if it's made in America.
20:01If it's made in another country, you don't get it.
20:04And to protect 2 million family farms and other small businesses, we're eliminating the estate
20:11tax or the death tax.
20:12So if you want to leave, if you want to leave your farm or your small business, but farms
20:19are really, they have been devastated, to your children, if you love your children.
20:23By the way, if you don't love your children, don't even listen to what I'm saying.
20:26It doesn't matter.
20:27But if you love, would you live, yes, I think you love your child.
20:31This one loves Barron, so I don't know if we're a small business, I think we're not.
20:37I'm not sure that we qualify, I'm sorry, darling.
20:40But you know, it was devastating farmers, they had to go out and borrow money.
20:46And by the way, is that Pam Bondi?
20:48Pam Bondi, raise your hand.
20:49Thank you, Pam, for being here.
20:51Attorney General, she's done an incredible job.
20:54So there won't be any, think of this, there won't be any death tax, you're not going to
20:59have to go borrow money.
21:00The parents pass away and the farm goes into the bank's hands and gets foreclosed.
21:04That's not going to happen.
21:05And with 100 percent expensing for new investments, we're cutting taxes for every manufacturer who
21:11builds, expands.
21:12And we have expansion at the highest level that we've ever had.
21:16We have hundreds of factories, including car plants and AI.
21:21It's coming into our country at levels that we've never seen.
21:25And to conclude, not only will we have the strongest economy on Earth, we're also going
21:29to have the strongest borders on Earth.
21:31And last month, did you see the number?
21:35Zero people crossed our border.
21:37Zero illegal people.
21:41And that's after Joe Biden let 21 million people, many of them people from gangs and prisons
21:48and drug lords and people that were mentally unbalanced.
21:53They let them into our country.
21:55We're getting them out at record numbers.
21:57And we have an obligation to, and we're doing it.
22:00We approach the 250th anniversary of America's founding exactly one year from now.
22:06We are creating an economy that delivers wealth for the middle class, a border that is sovereign
22:11and secure, and a military that is unmatched, unequaled anywhere in the world.
22:16And you saw that.
22:17And what a beautiful sight that was, especially after watching what they did just a short while
22:21ago.
22:22The golden age of America is upon us.
22:25We are in the golden age.
22:27It's going to be a period of time, the likes of which I don't think this country has ever
22:31experienced before.
22:32We're going to make America great again.
22:35And it's happening very fast.
22:36We love you.
22:37We thank you for being here.
22:38Enjoy the fireworks tonight.
22:40And First Lady, I want to thank you.
22:42You have been unbelievable.
22:43It's very — you think it's easy being First Lady, it's not.
