00:00Hey guys, today we're going to be talking about the best Samsung TVs to buy in 2025.
00:05We've got all the flagships lined up. We got QD OLED, 4K mini LED TVs, 8K mini LED TVs,
00:11and of course, lifestyle TVs, all right here in this video. So let's get into it.
00:17We're going to start right here with the Samsung S95F QD OLED TV. Now, following the S95D from
00:23last year is no small order, but the S95F has some upgrades that hopes to give Samsung more cred
00:30in the OLED world. The S95F upgrades from a 144Hz refresh rate to a 165Hz refresh rate right on par
00:39with the interest we're seeing in using OLED TVs as gaming PC monitors. So that's good, but otherwise,
00:45the S95F features Samsung's upgraded third-generation EL panel and the NQ4 AI Gen 3 processor.
00:52This TV also features an upgraded version of the glare-free OLED treatment that first debuted
00:58last year. I love it. I love that TV manufacturers are even copying Samsung with it. And even with all
01:04this lighting in here, the colors look great. The contrast is about as good as you can ask for,
01:09but we actually have a few benchmarks that give a bit more context on the performance and picture
01:14quality. I'll try to keep these benchmarks simple and standard across the rest of the TVs you'll see
01:19in this video. So first, in terms of picture accuracy, we measured a Delta E at 1.2, and for
01:25context, anything under 2 is really good. The brightness is also really good. Like, really,
01:31really good. For HDR in a 10% window in filmmaker mode, the S95F measured over 2100 nits. That's
01:38honestly super impressive. We also got a near-perfect coverage of the color space, so overall,
01:43the S95F is shaping up to be one of the TVs to beat this year. One more thing I really like about
01:49the S95F is that it has the One Connect box. You guys are probably sick of me talking about the One
01:55Connect box at this point, but I like that Samsung uses it on OLED. You can enjoy this really thin,
02:01clean look while having the convenience of offloading all the ports to somewhere a little bit easier to
02:06access. Next up, we got the Samsung QN90F Neo QLED or mini-LED TV, and I actually did a face-off
02:17specifically of this TV versus the S95F. It's going to be on this channel if it's not already,
02:23so make sure you go check that out. But this is going to be Samsung's flagship 4K for 2025,
02:30and what you're going to experience here compared to the other flagships in the set is this glare-free
02:35technology. We're seeing that throughout Samsung's lineup, but also the most size flexibility. We're
02:41starting down at 43 inches and going all the way up to 115 inches. Just like the S95F, the QN90F has
02:50the NQ4 AI Gen 3 processor and the upgrade to the 165Hz refresh rate standard. Mini-LED TVs are on the up
03:01and up in terms of popularity, and there is a good reason why. Let's look at the test results that we
03:08pulled from the QN90F. For the QN90F, we've got an accuracy score of under 2 as well, and for HDR
03:15brightness in that same 10% window, also just over 2100 nits. So the S95F and QN90F are pretty much
03:23neck and neck in that regard. Again, going back to everything I was saying about OLED, specifically QD
03:28OLED, really closing the gap in performance. We do see slightly worse color coverage, closer to 93%,
03:34but that doesn't worry me too much until we can test this in the lab. For all intents and purposes,
03:40this is the mini-LED TV in Samsung's 2025 TV family that you're going to want to take a look at,
03:47but believe it or not, there is a step up. 8K TVs tend to be pretty polarizing,
03:54but Samsung's QN990F Neo QLED AK TV might just change your mind. With the 990F, you're going to
04:03see a lot of the features I've already discussed with the OLED and the 4K, including the glare-free
04:09display, the AI processing, but of course upscaling is going to be the big story here. So if you want
04:14to enjoy content, especially on those larger screen sizes that are upscaled properly, there is a lot of
04:20reason to like 8K. Now, the availability of content is still very limited, so I'm not saying that this
04:25is the year that you need to buy an 8K, but our performance results are pretty interesting.
04:31Looking at the QN990F 8K, a bit lower down in some of our categories actually, we measured 1400 nits
04:38in the same 10% window in HDR, but a solid 95% coverage of the color space. If you guys have seen
04:45my videos before, you know I can kind of be a frame TV hater, but it looks like I'm going to have to
04:51throw that all out the window with the Samsung Frame TV Pro. It's pro because the performance is
04:57more in line with Neo QLED or mini-LED TVs. This single-handedly fixes the biggest drawback of
05:05previous frame TV models, which was picture performance and quality. Let's look at the numbers.
05:10These were the results I was probably most curious to see. I wasn't expecting anything
05:15like with the S95F or QN90F, but I was excited that the Frame Pro is going over 1000 nits peak
05:21brightness in HDR. That's such a huge improvement from the 2024 frame that hardly reached 600 nits.
05:28It also has pretty complete color coverage. The only big downside we saw, and honestly,
05:33I think this is something we'll need to retest, is an incredibly poor lag time of over 30 milliseconds.
05:39I haven't mentioned that for the other TVs because Samsung sets are usually all so good,
05:42under 10 milliseconds as standard, which is, you know, very important for gaming. So again,
05:47I'm going to have to double check these when we get this one into our own lab.
05:51Remember with the S95F OLED TV, I talked about the One Connect box. With the Frame TV Pro,
05:56we have the wireless One Connect box, which is wirelessly transmitting the picture at up to 4K,
06:02144Hz from a place that's a bit more easy to manage, so that way you're not losing from the art on the wall
06:09effect. This is an art TV, so I've got to talk about the art, of course. This is the Samsung
06:15art store. There are quite literally hundreds and hundreds of options of art to explore, display.
06:22Most of them do come at an added cost. There are a few free ones monthly, but more or less expect to
06:28spend a little bit to have the art experience you want. But what's new for 2025 is that the Samsung
06:34Frame TV is no longer the only Samsung TV with art store access. Other TVs I've talked about in this
06:40video will be getting the art store, but if you want to have the true art on the wall experience
06:45with the Frame, with the Zero One Connect box, you're going to be looking at the Frame Pro.
06:50That said, it's going to cost you. Blame it on social media, but the Frame TV Pro
06:56is the one that I'm most excited about for 2025. So I'm going to end the video here so I can enjoy it
07:02just a little bit longer. Make sure you're subscribed to this channel so you don't miss any of the
