00:00And on the opening of the 21st International Book Fair of Venezuela, President
00:04Nicolas Maduro not only condemned the supremacism maintained by the United
00:07States and Europe, but he also ensured that such ideology has no room in the
00:1121st century. The head of state presided the event which would which will be held
00:16until July 13th at the National Art Gallery in Caracas. In addition, the book
00:21fair counted with the attendance of the ambassador of Egypt, Karim Amin, and
00:25Venezuelan officials, intellectuals, and politicians. In this context, the
00:29president insisted that for over 600 years the great empires have tried to
00:33make people submit to models of hegemonic domination, slavery, and
00:37exploitation. Subsequently, the leader attached importance to both questioning
00:40the official narratives and building a historical one of their own to stand
00:45critically against Eurocentric visions.
