00:00how much do you know about the game in england to be honest not a whole lot i i've had a couple
00:15buddies that have uh played over there and during this past year um guys were kind of giving me
00:22pointers on how the game is how it's similar to the american style game like a little more
00:29physical than um the rest of europe um and that's something that kind of like fits my game well i
00:35like to play hard and i like to throw my weight around a bit so um i thought it would be a good
00:41fit for me just with the style of play from what i've heard um but it's something that is kind of
00:46exciting going into a little bit of the unknown uh that i like about it but yeah i'd say i have a
00:52decent uh grasp of what the game in england has to offer you've spoken to ryan obviously like you say
00:58you've got some sort of references or some uh a good indication of what to expect in the uk
01:03what are your sort of impressions of leads obviously you're going to be joining a team that's been very
01:07successful these last three years um you must be looking forward to joining a team like that
01:13yeah um i mean last year uh being in italy and then in bloomington our teams weren't
01:20the most competitive and so you know as a competitor you want to win every game you play
01:27and obviously that's not the case like no team's going to go undefeated i mean i guess you never
01:31know but that was important to me to step into a culture and an organization that has winning in
01:38uh its background and in its future um and that's something ryan alluded to fairly quickly uh about
01:45the recent success of leads and and how they want to continue that and that's something i
01:50like that was a big reason why i ended up signing is because i want to win um at whatever i'm at and
01:58and he made that very clear that that's important to them yeah and given i mean there's obviously
02:03it's been increased to four imports uh per team this season in the league which you're probably aware
02:09of do you feel as an import coming into a league like that that that that sort of pressure that you've
02:16got to sort of try and maintain those high standards and is that sort of pressure that you welcome as a
02:21player yeah i mean um like the quote they always say is prefer pressure is a privilege yeah um and
02:30that's something i i completely agree with like i i i want to have the pressure of you know being a top
02:38player on the team and and helping everybody around me succeed um i want to be able to be put in
02:45in big moments and you know capitalize on them that's that's i think at the end of the day that's
02:51what you dream about when you're when you're young playing hockey is you know scoring that big hole
02:55big goal making that uh big play just to help the team move forward so yeah i love the idea of
03:02pressure honestly um just lastly what kind of play would you describe yourself as you sort of mentioned
03:06earlier that you sort of like to play physically you're you're expecting a sort of a north american
03:11style game if you want to describe it as that what kind of player do you see yourself as what are your
03:16main attributes so to speak yeah i think to keep it short i'm a physical puck moving defenseman i i like
03:25to close guys off quickly and then get the puck going the other way get it going north um get it to the
03:31forwards uh jump into the play and contribute offensively i i usually stem from the defensive side
03:38out and when i'm taking care of the d zone usually the offensive side is taking care of itself as well
