00:09This is excellent news for number one banana fan, Donkey Kong.

00:14However, just as he's about to enjoy the notable bananas, a sudden tempest sends him deep down underground.

00:23That's when DK meets a talented young singer named Colleen.

00:29Now, Donkey Kong just wants bananas.

00:34And Pauline wants to find a way back home to the surface.

00:38It's said that one's wish will be granted by reaching the planet core.

00:43So the unlikely duo set off on a strange subterranean adventure.

00:52The story takes place in the underground world, where the scenery changes the deeper you go.

00:58Some layers are so spectacular that it's hard to believe you're underground.

01:04DK can run, jump, and climb through each environment.

01:14Using his incredible physical prowess, you can freely move in any direction.

01:21Almost anything in your path.

01:23You can smash, crash, and bash.

01:35Barrel through enemies, walls, and other obstacles to collect golden bananas known as Banandium Gems.

03:16Get creative and swap between transformations as you adventure to the planet core!

03:30Standing in our hero's way is The Void Company.

03:34The mightiest mining operation both above ground and below.

03:39And they're heading straight down to the planet core.

03:44Void Co. blocked off all the routes to the lower layers, so no one could reach them.

03:53DK and Pauline will come face to face with the enemies guarding these routes.

03:57So use all the power at your disposal to take on a host of powerful foes.

04:07As you explore the underground world, you'll come across ancient ruins.

04:12These hold challenges where you can earn Banandium Gyms.

04:18Challenges include time-limited battles, side-scrolling stages, and more!

04:29Keep your eyes peeled to find the Banandium Gyms.

04:38As you collect Banandium Gyms, you'll gain Skill Points.

04:42Use them to power up Donkey Kong to match your playstyle.

04:47Or use Skill Points to learn new skills.

04:54Plus, by gathering fossils, you can trade them for fashionable attire.

05:01And customize the perfect fits for Donkey Kong and Pauline.

05:05Almost every article of clothing comes with its own benefits.

05:10So, mix and match your look to suit the situation.

05:17By sharing a Joy-Con 2 controller or using a second set,

05:21you and a pal can control Donkey Kong and Pauline separately

05:24to buddy up in local co-op play.

05:27As Pauline, you can unleash vocal blasts using Joy-Con 2 mouse controls.

05:31You can also copy the material of nearby terrain to give your vocals even more texture.

05:38By working together, even tough enemies don't stand a chance.

05:48This game also supports game share.

05:51Even if only one player has the game,

05:53they can quickly share it to another player so they can join on their own system.

05:56It can also be shared locally to a Nintendo Switch system.
