00:01If you're still hearing us and you haven't left yet, please leave.
00:05I hate to say this, but I just don't have enough body bags.
00:11The calmness before us all is deafening.
00:20As Hurricane Katrina was approaching, we knew this was going to be a catastrophe.
00:26I didn't want to leave because I didn't know what we were going to be coming back to.
00:31I just was praying.
00:41People don't realize how big Katrina was.
00:43It's too big to turn. It's going to hit us.
00:52It's not a normal hurricane. Something's wrong.
00:57My heart just sank. We have a breach and a levee.
01:00We have rain inside the Superdome. I repeat, rain inside the dome.
01:05Three minutes, it went from the ground to the roof.
01:09A lot of people suffered, and a lot of people suffered needlessly.
01:13Just let me know y'all are living, you know what I mean?
01:15People coming out of one bad situation, but they didn't know they was coming to another hell.
01:24We expected FEMA to come in, but there was no help.
01:27I told the guys, go find whatever boat you can find.
01:29We went and did what we had to do to try to save people's lives.
01:32Why?
01:34This community was not wanting to go out and just loot these people trying to survive.
01:40You got a governor. What are they doing?
01:43That's not something you ever want to do, to tell the truth to shoot civilians.
01:47Governor, that's your people.
01:48They just let us down. Tell them we wasn't even human no more.
01:53But people from New Orleans, we knew how to survive.
01:57And they're supposed to be the greatest country on the planet.
02:03In order to prevent something, you got to understand why it happened in the first place.
02:09Here is a house, here I need you all the lanes.
