Wallabies lock on benefit of takes Tests matches to Newcastle and other regional centre
Transcript
00:00Yeah, it was pretty weird actually. Coming to Newcastle, I thought it would be sunny, but yeah, it's been raining all week.
00:08I know you've only got here a couple of days, but how has the preparations been?
00:11Are you sort of really zoned in on Fiji now and sort of fine-tuning things, or where's it at?
00:16Yeah, that's pretty much where we are. The focus is all on Fiji and just trying to get out there and put a good performance in.
00:24I understand there's potentially 26,000, 28,000 fans going on Sunday.
00:31Is that justified bringing it to a regional centre and taking the Wallabies somewhere outside of a major city?
00:37Yeah, 100%, mate. I think it's awesome that we've been able to do that and connect with rural regions.
00:44We've obviously always traditionally played games in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Perth,
00:48but taking it outside of those cities and connecting with your community is important.
