00:00hey come in well how'd it go uh i'm not sure the show of force with drew and willow didn't work
00:11well you know the plan was to go over there and take a strong stance on michael's behalf
00:16yeah like we discussed right and uh willow was smug and she was condescending and i lost it
00:21how bad i think i made a mistake i may have just handed michael's children over to willow and drew
00:30this was supposed to be a joyous day a celebration of our families coming together under the same roof
00:40and then carly showed up and ruined it by threatening to take my children from me look
00:45carly can threaten whatever she wants you're not gonna lose your kids you're not i'm not gonna let
00:50that happen i knew carly was capable of being mean and vindictive i saw that firsthand when she went
00:57after my mom but now i know what it's like to be on the receiving end of it yeah i have learned
01:03you can't put anything past carly carly watched over me when i was sick she gave me away at my
01:11wedding it turns out she was just giving michael what he wanted carly doesn't give a damn about me
01:17and she never did sweetheart i know that you're concerned about kai this procedure i mean it is
01:25brand new which is one of the many reasons why i don't think he should go through with it even if
01:30the surgery repairs the damage in his spine and he can play football again all it takes is one bad hit
01:36for him to end up paralyzed honey there are a number of factors it doesn't matter because kai is willing
01:42to take that risk he's already made up his mind he didn't even wait to get your opinion on the
01:47surgery in the first place i actually just finished researching the procedure and what did you find
01:54out
01:54how's the handsome patient better know that you're hearing
02:01so how did you go with alexis i told her everything that christina tried to kill me
02:14and almost killed you and elizabeth instead oh i wish i could have seen the look on her face
02:20it was pretty great i think it'll be one of my happiest memories ever
02:26i told her if she doesn't meet my demands then i'll have to have a little conversation with molly
02:31and the cops about her precious daughter's attempted murder then how did she react to that
02:37she was shocked and appalled very nice so i'm assuming that she agreed to your demands
02:49i gave her until 9 a.m tomorrow to decide but she's gonna play ball rick she doesn't have another
02:57choice no i haven't signed the papers yet damn we're talking about having my daughter committed

03:27i've been thinking about what you said earlier and i just want to talk to you about this

03:40you know sunny the last thing i want to do right now is upset you when i know that you're
03:47dealing with a heart condition that's okay what's going on there is still a possibility that the city
03:55could seize control of your waterfront property
03:58why are they coming after my property is this still about the esplanade project

04:33all i know is that the sidwell and drew
04:37forced you to move the esplanade from its original location to my peers
04:44and by using eminent domain but that was a long time ago i thought you shut that down
04:53i did but they won't let it die they're coming back at it again what's happening now well uh it's been
05:01suggested that perhaps we should allow the people of poor charles to decide where the esplanade should
05:08be located that that it should be put on the ballot and uh put up for a citywide referendum
05:14and you said yes to that idea i did sunny
05:19willow says she cares about michael but it's obvious that she only cares about herself and what
05:24she wants and then this is the first time you've seen this side of willow yeah i mean i thought drew's
05:30influence had gotten to her but oh no no it was all willow 100 percent oh she must be quite a
05:36chameleon and she fooled you for this long i guess so i i don't get it we welcomed her into
05:42our family we stood beside her rallied behind her and this is how she repays all the love and
05:47kindness i couldn't take it i blew up well it sounds like you were justified yeah i thought so
05:52but we went at it and it got bad and then jason showed up okay look look here's what's gonna happen
05:57all right look you're gonna tell me everything that happens start to finish all right and then we
06:03you're gonna come up with a plan to mitigate the damage together i learned firsthand how carly
06:10operates and she's a user i went to prison for her and then when our relationship was over
06:16she had no use for me it was it was as if nothing we ever shared mattered at all that is so awful
06:23and heartless i remember her talking to me about it after you guys broke up she told me
06:30she'd always care about you yeah well we both know carly's a liar and she's no loss to me like i'm glad
06:38to be free of her my point is is this this battle that carly's waging says way more about her than it
06:44does about you you did everything you could to meet her halfway including moving into the gatehouse in
06:50the middle of hostile quarter main territory this none of this is your fault i don't think so either
06:57i am moving in here with you because obviously i want to but it's also good for the kids
07:03of course it's good for the kids you're providing them with a loving safe home that's that's what a
07:09good mother does okay and now you get to this side yes you have
07:14the the kids they didn't hear anything uh they're still watching the movie and since carly is gone i
07:23turned down the volume a little thank god this was supposed to be a celebration day for them too
07:29well we're gonna have plenty of celebrating don't you worry about it i'm gonna make sure carly never
07:33steps foot in this house again me maybe i should get a restraining order wait a second let's not do it
07:39do anything rash you were here you saw how out of control carly got she she literally almost hit
07:45willow yes true i was here and carly was clearly in the wrong an example of what not to do but we're
07:52we're not going to gain anything or fix this if we're as extreme as carly was look at we have to stay
08:00calm and focus on compromise that's the only way that we are ever going to have any kind of peace
08:09peace really peace went out the window when carly raised her hand to willow not necessarily
08:15now we are the reasonable ones we stay cool and rational and it might work in our favor with the judge
08:25later
08:25i swear if that's carly i got it congressman hi uh sorry to drop by without calling first
08:38curtis gave me your address it's now a bad time sweetheart kai asked me for my medical opinion
08:46i cannot disclose that so i guess that means that you can't tell me if you're going to recommend the
08:51surgery or not i'm sorry honey i can't this is a complex situation and kai has a tough decision to
08:59make but it's his decision mom you don't understand he doesn't need the surgery he can live a perfectly
09:08good life with his spine the way it is but he wouldn't have a life with football in it and he
09:13truly cares about the game he wants a chance to play i know but he already accepted that he wasn't
09:20going to play anymore he was working really hard to find some peace and he was moving on
09:25i know that you're concerned about kai but this feels like it's about something more than just him
09:31and the surgery like what you like spencer
09:38i'd check my expectations if i were you ava this may not be the done deal that you think it is
09:44why is that because alexis may love her daughter but there is a chance that she might love her
09:51high-minded principles a little bit more no please alexis is not gonna let christina go to prison
09:57she knows that i have the videotape she also knows that even the mere accusation that christina
10:05almost killed molly's father will tear those girls apart probably for good sure it would then why
10:12aren't you confident alexis will cave ava over the years i have done my best to get under alexis's
10:21skin but there's something that i have never done you don't know what that is i've never underestimated
10:26her you see you think that you gave alexis 24 hours to make a decision but you also gave her 24

11:47honey you endured a horrific traumatic loss and kai is the first young man that you've had feelings for
11:54since then and you're worried you might lose him too i just don't want to watch something terrible
12:01happen to someone else i care about if kai gets back on that field i'll be stuck on the sidelines
12:07watching him get hit over and over again and i'll be praying that he won't get hurt
12:14but i know at any given moment he can be seriously injured and i don't know if i can go through that
12:20again you really care deeply for him don't you
12:23i'm sorry kai normally i would invite you in but um i'm kind of in the middle of a family
12:31crisis right now so whatever it is you think you could wait till tomorrow of course no problem

12:46how can you ask me to compromise with a woman who compared me to nell
12:54we were twins but we were nothing alike no you're not like your sister carly just
12:58said that to push your buttons well she succeeded i already know i hurt michael i feel horrible about
13:06that but to imply that i never really loved him that i am more manipulative than nell that i'm trying
13:15to take wiley from him just like she did you were not your sister okay what carly said was a gross
13:22exaggeration why though are you so bothered by her comment i don't know maybe deep down if i'm being
13:34honest with myself i'm scared there's some truth to it
13:41i went in there and i laid down the law and willow wasn't having it i mean we both lost our tempers
13:48and then i told her she was taking advantage of michael being away and she said it was michael's
13:53choice to be in germany and not maryland and since he wasn't there he didn't get a say and i lost it
13:59wow i mean so you really think that drew's influence is rubbing off on it i used to think so
14:05and i used to think that if i could have two minutes i could find that kind compassionate
14:10woman but willow has changed and i told her so well i imagine that didn't go over too well no she's so
14:19glued to the idea that she is the victim who just loves her children and has fallen in love with this
14:24man and everybody else does not know what they're talking about and the things she said about me and
14:29my son i lost it and i almost hit her but thank god nina text jason and he showed up and he stopped me
14:40okay so you never actually laid a hand on me no i didn't i didn't okay well then as i see it
14:49it you did exactly what needed to be done
14:57in the surgery i'm going to have the surgery your allegiance should be to the people of port
15:02charles not to the local crime boss jen sidwell that's your father right general hospital on abc
15:11is somebody pressuring you to come after me
15:18come on i mean it's no secret that congressman kane and councilman boyle are trying to make an issue
15:27of my friendship with you they're trying to make the public believe that their mayor is uh protecting
15:34the local crime boss well that's not true and you know they're just bullying you don't let them
15:42i'm not i'm not sunny but the fact is i did intervene so that you could hold on to the peers i did not
15:52do it just because of you i did it because i believe that is the right thing for port charles
15:58case closed except that i've recently um come to realize that the location of the esplanade
16:08shouldn't be just up to me you know or or you for that matter or drew or boyle the esplanade
16:18is for the people of port charles right so they should decide where it goes you know how much i
16:24respect respect to you right yes i just gotta disagree look i run a legitimate business from those peers
16:35if they try to take it from me i'm not gonna let them sunny wait please i need you to trust me on this
16:47one thing right now okay i have another reason for what i'm doing right now i can't really go into it

17:08alexis may be good but she can't strategize away the evidence that we have
17:13we have actual video footage of christina looking at the car in my parking spot and picking up wire
17:21cutters but plus i have your car how did you arrange that when i found out the brake lines had been cut
17:29i had it moved to a storage facility i used for the gallery it is now my most treasured piece of art
17:35impressive wait how did you how did you manage that
17:39i bribed the mechanic of course he's also been paid to tell anybody else who comes looking that the
17:46car has already been through the crusher i deducted those bribes from what i owe you by the way oh fine
17:53but wait what if we need my car to prove christina's guilt i'll have it towed back to the impound lot and i'll
18:01call the pcpd any decent csi team will be able to establish that the brakes have been tampered with
18:08before the crash but you know what it's not gonna come to that alexis is going to meet our demands
18:14noodle budo is one of sam's favorite places doesn't it feel sort of odd to have it without her
18:21i think she'd be happy that we're still supporting a restaurant that meant so much to her
18:26it meant so much to her that she and jason got married there
18:32i think she'd actually be really happy that the three of us are hanging out davis women back together
18:40i really have missed you like not having my sister close the only sister that i have left
18:48it was like a part of me was missing you know i'm so sorry that for a long time i made
18:55being so close impossible i haven't known kai that long but i've developed pretty strong feelings for him
19:11he's such a a kind and generous funny guy he's not bad looking either
19:19no not at all i understand why you're so afraid to lose him you've always been so concerned about
19:28the people that you care about but honey you can't force them to live in a bubble but this isn't even
19:34just about me and my feelings i am genuinely scared for kai he's putting all his trust into drew
19:40kane in this miracle surgery what's going to happen to him physically and emotionally if they fail him
19:47i have always been unnerved about being nell's fraternal twin
19:53i know our dna wasn't identical but
19:55it made me wonder if i had that capacity for cruelty in me too there's nothing cruel about you
20:03nothing at all it's not cruel to stand up for yourself it's not cruel to refuse to get verbally
20:09beaten up by someone then why have so many people turned against me people have treated me horribly
20:17and i haven't done anything wrong i can sort of see why nell felt misunderstood and angry at the world
20:28again you're not your sister now was complicated and she suffered from a terrible childhood
20:38my childhood wasn't great either i know i know it was
20:44but nell was mentally unwell and you are not so i want you to forget about carly's comment i want you to
20:51look at everything that you have accomplished and what you have had to overcome to become this wonderful
21:00woman that you are and you know what wiley and amelia belong with you because you're a wonderful mother
21:09thank you yeah that's true with all of that said i still think that you need to compromise with michael
21:24and his family it's really nina can we just table that discussion for now please it's been a uh
21:34it's been an exhausting day and i think we all need a little time to decompress
21:37and uh we still have a lot of unpacking we need to do
21:44fine okay that's what you want try to relax okay tonight try and um you have a good evening okay

22:07you don't have to try and make me feel better i mean i know that i made things a thousand times
22:19worse for michael on the contrary i think you put necessary pressure on drew and willow now that they
22:25know you're coming after them they're gonna go on the attack how is that a good thing trust me carly
22:32you may have just helped michael win custody of his kids

22:44uh grandma just said she'd help me prep for my debate after work but i can come back later no no no we're

23:00um you know what i've got an idea uh would it be okay with you if your grandfather stayed to hear
23:07your speech i'm sure he'd love to hear it i mean and that is if you've got time right now yeah i mean
23:12that'd be great as long as you're not too busy no i'm never too busy for you two so let's go dazzle me
23:21if alexis doesn't want me to go to the cops or to molly and blow up her entire family she's gonna
23:31have to pay me she should be able to do it especially if she pays us in installments
23:37huh and here i thought the two of you had called a truce yeah well your perspective tends to change
23:44when attempted murder becomes part of the bargain you don't think that our desire for revenge is a
23:50mistake nope i don't know ava think about it and christina has definitely graduated from reckless and
24:00out of control she's clearly got a screw loose and i know i've said this before but it bears repeating
24:06if we don't bring christina to justice then she will be free to come after you again
24:10and i will constantly be watching my back all the money in the world won't do me any good if i'm dead
24:19christina most definitely wants me dead so is this plan really a good idea christina you have
24:28apologized enough i know but i just i really really miss this and i can't stop thinking about the
24:37terrible things that i did and said i feel guilty and i just wish i could take it all back
24:45me too but we've forgiven each other so now it's time to just move past it you don't know how much
24:53that means to me i do maybe this is the one good thing to come from my dad's accident
25:01i mean i wanted my sister back and it's brought us together again and i really i just i can't tell
25:09you how much it means to have you both supporting me through this we'll always be there for you yeah of
25:15course so um have you heard how's your dad doing i saw him earlier and um he was in a really upbeat
25:25mood so he still has a long road ahead of him but given the severity of the crash he and elizabeth are
25:32lucky to be alive they could have been killed well thank god they weren't i think both rick and elizabeth
25:39are gonna make a full recovery and once they do we will never have to think about this nightmare
25:45ever again thank god
25:50for your sake i mean thank god
25:56you can't second guess kai it's his decision to make

27:10yeah we decided not to give him the chance to be able to say no right and i think that made things
27:15worse if michael comes at me guns blazing how in the world am i going to stop him
27:23i fail to see how i helped michael's case
27:27as i understand it you have fought quite successfully for your children in the past am
27:31i right about that yeah absolutely okay so drew and willow know that they know you're not making
27:37empty threats you've done this before and you were relentless so what you've done today is a
27:43declaration of war i still don't see the silver lining history is the predictor of the future carly
27:51here's what's going to happen next willow is going to panic she's going to go into her damsel in
27:55distress mode which is going to prompt drew to be the knight in shining armor right yeah that sounds
28:00about right here's the problem drew is so arrogant he's going to want to do something big and save the
28:07day and in doing so he will overreach and he will make a mistake and you will be able to use it against
28:14them you know what i can live with a little uncertainty especially if i'm being well compensated for it
28:27and i'll have enough money to hire security if i want to what about you are you getting cold feet
28:35mean about keeping my mouth shut and not turning in christina
28:38well i guess i'm just gonna have to console myself with a fat wad of cash
28:45even if it means christina won't pay for what she did to you
28:51well i can't lose another sister despite how i feel about christina my daughter can't handle another
28:59tragedy more than she's already been through i understand you're a good dad
29:05hmm on a less noble note alexis has always presented herself as this
29:12woman of integrity while she lectures me on my moral bankruptcy so
29:17if she has to swallow her self-righteous principles and embezzle money from the
29:22cassadine estate over and over again well
29:27that sounds like justice to me hmm well i know that you would love to rub it in her face
29:33but alexis doesn't know you're involved and i think you ought to keep it that way as long as
29:39she doesn't know that you're a part of this it'll be smooth sailing for you and molly that's very
29:45generous of you
29:48just as long as you're not trying to keep me from my share of the cut
29:52okay movie time rom-com or a legal thriller i vote rom-com anything upbeat i've had way too much
30:02drama in my life lately sounds like you're learning to let go of anger and resentment
30:07yeah i think i am not just in relation to my relationship with you molly but also
30:16you know about the baby i was just i was so consumed with my
30:22need for justice and i know that underneath all of that i just had this toxic need for revenge and i
30:30was swallowed up in it and i lost sight of what's important and that's not who i am
30:36it's a lot of self-reflection to come to that all on your own or are you in therapy
30:44both actually something mom's been telling me to do for a while now but finally figured it out
30:52sorry it took me so long i'm just glad that you did and that you're doing better
31:01but what do you think was it okay it's better than okay it was brilliant you're as good a public
31:09speaker as uh your grandmother thanks i don't know about that i have one little bit of advice okay
31:18get even more familiar with your points so you can make more eye contact okay but you've got this
31:26okay so just be confident okay here's the thing when you believe in yourself other people will believe
31:33in you yeah okay um thanks you guys give good advice you'll both be at the debate yeah definitely i

32:16that um i'll be honest with you one of the reasons i wanted the public to vote on the location of the

32:37now it doesn't make any sense to give any of that away but i know carly what if she tries to take the
32:44kids somehow that's not gonna happen you're their only functioning parent and you have custody
32:51now god forbid something happens to you i will do everything in my power to take care of wiley and
32:59amelia and i will make sure that carly and tracy never get their hands on them but you can't guarantee
33:07that actually i can i have the answer right here please have a seat
33:19i looked into the procedure and i have to say this surgery is very cutting edge i'm surprised
33:27that drew even heard of it did he mention how no but i'm just really glad that he was looking out for
33:33me to be honest i was gonna tell him tonight that i'm ready to meet with dr mahinder and move forward
33:39with the surgery but he was in the middle of something so i didn't get the chance i'm sorry to hear that
33:44it's probably for the best i really do want to hear what you think so what do you find out well
33:50i've researched the procedure very thoroughly and if you want my honest opinion i cannot in good
33:55conscience recommend this surgery as you can see there there are dozens of cases where the surgery made
34:05no noticeable difference and there are three confirmed cases where the patients ended up paralyzed
34:10as a direct result of the procedure but there are successes too correct yes um there are two
34:22okay well i'm gonna be the third
34:27what is this i had my lawyers draw them up i've been hanging on to them for a while but carly's insanity made
34:35me realize that i shouldn't really be putting this off putting what off protecting our family our kids
34:45in the event that something happens to you you get hurt or incapacitated these papers would make me the
34:53legal guardian for wiley and amelia and they would make you the legal guardian for scout if something
34:59happens happens to me wow this is a huge step but a necessary one
35:08do you agree that this is a good idea
35:24yes carly won't stop until she gets her hands on my children and i have to protect them
35:31besides i trust you more than anyone in the world to look after my kids i mean you could take some
35:40time too i mean it's not a problem i don't need any time this is exactly what i want
35:45trust me carly you're gonna use drew and willow's worst instincts against them and you're gonna win
36:05michael custody of his kids i don't know jason said what i did today is gonna cause everyone to take
36:13extreme positions and then i'm gonna make michael's custody battle even harder i see
36:20and what does jason think you should do suck it up and play nice and i hate it
36:26look jason was right to keep you from committing an act of violence that would have been a step too far
36:31but the only reason to play nice is to convince your opponent to compromise and i don't think a
36:37compromise is in the offing not what drew in the picture your only option is to trick your opponent
36:43into making a mistake you really think that's gonna happen i'm certain of it you laid the trap
36:50beautifully now all you have to do is sit back and wait for drew and willow to take the bait
36:58laura i respect that you're stuck between our friendship and your position as mayor it's a
37:05fine line to walk yeah and as i've been thinking
