Laura Ann Branigan (Mount Kisco, 3 luglio 1952 – East Quogue, 26 agosto 2004) è stata una cantante statunitense. Nella sua carriera discografica ha inciso 20 singoli e alcune colonne sonore di pellicole cinematografiche tra cui Imagination, presente nella colonna sonora del film Flashdance del 1983, prodotta da Giorgio Moroder e Phil Ramone, e Hot Night, nel 1984, nella colonna sonora del film Ghostbusters. Inoltre alcuni dei suoi brani sono stati inseriti anche nel film del 1984 Body Rock. During her recording career, she recorded 20 singles and some film soundtracks, including Imagination, featured in the soundtrack of the 1983 film Flashdance, produced by Giorgio Moroder and Phil Ramone, and Hot Night, in 1984, in the soundtrack of the film Ghostbusters. In addition, some of her songs were also included in the 1984 film Body Rock. Her English version of Gloria by Umberto Tozzi is famous, remaining in the Billboard Hot 100 for 36 weeks and included in the Top 100 singles of 1982 and 1983. Laura Branigan died in her sleep at her home in East Quogue, New York, USA, on August 26, 2004, at the age of 52. His death was caused by an undiagnosed brain aneurysm.
