00:00Lake Tucana has invested tremendously over the last 10 years through our NGO

00:17Winds of Change. To date we've invested just less than a billion chilies. It's

00:25really about the transformation that this project is doing in the local

00:31community, the impact it's making. All told since Winds of Change became

00:36operational 10 years ago now in June 2015 we have implemented close to 100

00:43projects at a total cost of approximately 900 million shillings. I went to the

00:48National Control Center and saw how difficult it was to get the grid back up

00:53and I realized the importance of having people who can inject power into the

00:57grid to be able to stabilize it and to bring it back up. It's not an easy

01:01process and so having partners like Lake Tucana is not just critical, this is what

01:07powers Kenya, this is what keeps our lights on. And so we really appreciate as Kenya

01:12Power your contribution to keeping Kenya leader which is what Kenya Power tries to do, Kenya

01:17and that's why I am better.

01:21That growth is not possible without the wonderful contribution by

01:26Electricana Wind Power. And we appreciate because you've made impactful

01:33contribution to the great people of Marsabit.

01:37Most economies in that area depend on Electricana Wind Power, staff and personnel

01:46which is a big thanks. But now let's go deeper into the community and help them. We

01:51in Lysam's constituency do appreciate wind power 100%. What Electricana has done is

01:57shown us how places that are considered quote-unquote remote like Marsabit are

02:01excellent in producing wind energy.
