00:00The Mets, despite losing 14 of their last 18 games,
00:04still better than the Yankees by a half game,
00:06really a full game in that win column, 49 and 38.
00:10The Yanks have now dropped 13 of their last 19.
00:14They no longer are in the lead by themselves
00:16in the American League East.
00:18DRS, neither team playing well at the tail end of June.
00:22How do you feel about where these two teams stand
00:24at the moment?
00:25Okay, I feel okay about it.
00:27Am I in love with where they've been?
00:28No, because quite frankly,
00:30both of them look like they were in a position
00:31to maybe run away with their divisions
00:33and gotten caught and surpassed at this point.
00:35And the AL East is ultra competitive.
00:37The NL East is the Philadelphia Phillies
00:39and the New York Mets going toe-to-toe the rest of the summer.
00:41We have so many different teams now.
00:43And quite frankly, like the AL East, it's like,
00:45okay, it's up for grabs.
00:46And the Orioles are not even like an afterthought
00:48in that division.
00:49It's kind of crazy, but playing good baseball now,
00:51Toronto playing good baseball, like Tampa,
00:54even Boston is starting to wake up and say,
00:55hey guys, we might be at 500 sooner than later.
00:58But for me, it's expectations that we're not exceeded
01:02because they would be if the Yanks had a five-game lead
01:05or that's to say the Mets had a five-game lead.
01:07They're right where we probably thought
01:08they would be in the mix here,
01:10but where we were to where we are now,
01:12you get sort of a downgrade
01:13on both of these teams right now.
01:14That's all.
01:15But they're playing decent baseball.
01:16There's no doubt about it.
01:17That's what you can ask for.
01:17That's all you can ask for.
