00:41have some misconceptions about how memory works.

00:45What you saw and what I saw on the TV video was revolting.

00:49There has been mass media attention to this particular videotape.

00:53Does the research indicate that that in fact could change witnesses' perception?

00:57There's more to a case than just what the media is telling you.

01:06Somebody who's extremely stressed or extremely frightened.

01:10It can disrupt your memory for the details that occurred just prior to the shocking event.

01:41I can't say that every case I've been involved in,

01:47I believe the person is totally innocent.

01:50I'm maybe in a smaller group of people who cares more deeply

01:53about the rights of accused people.
