00:14And what was it like today when you walked across that stage?
00:18A bit overwhelming.
00:20But I'm also very proud of myself.
00:22Coming all the way, it's been an excellent journey.
00:24I'm looking forward to seeing what's coming in the future.
00:28How much work went done today?
00:30Yeah, there was a lot of hard work.
00:32And a lot of research went into it.
00:34A lot of time and dedication.
00:36And I'm just glad it's paid off in the end.
00:38And I got this far.
00:40And what's the plans for? Are you taking a break?
00:42Yeah, I'm going to take a break.
00:44And hopefully go travelling.
00:46Take a gap year as I can.
00:48And then figure out what's next.
00:50And how proud are you today?
00:52I'm really proud.
00:54Enormously proud. It's a tremendous achievement for him.
00:56He really has worked down hard to get here.
00:58We couldn't be proud of him.
01:00Can you introduce yourself please?
01:02I'm Terry Murray.
01:03And I studied business in my country.
01:04And I also University, McGee.
01:06And what was it like today walking across the stage and packing up at the moment?
01:10Very good. Very teary.
01:12Really worth it though, in the end.
01:14And how many years of work went on this?
01:17Three whole years. Long, long years.
01:19Was there a particular tough year or anything?
01:22Not really, just working with deadlines in advance.
01:25And it will go the way I want it.
01:27And what's the plan now?
01:29Are you going to take a wee break or are you going to go straight into work?
01:31I'm moving to Belfast with my friends for a year and see how it goes.
01:35Are you from Belfast or are you from there?
01:37No, I'm from there.
01:39Your first day, your first day from today.
01:41Congratulations. Thank you very much.
01:43Can you just introduce yourself please?
01:45I'm, oh, we're fine.
01:46And where are you from?
01:47I'm Kirk's Burgess.
01:48Kirk's Burgess.
01:49And why did you graduate on the day?
01:51Business with marketing.
01:53Specialised in marketing.
01:54Wow.
01:55And what was it like walking across the stage today and packing up at the moment?
01:57Oh, I was, I couldn't, I forgot how to walk.
01:59But I was like standing on the side.
02:01I actually, I was like standing there and I was like, oh my god, I can't walk over.
02:04And then I closed my eyes and then I was walking across.
02:06And I was like, oh my god, I didn't know where you were even near him.
02:08But it was, it was so fine after.
02:10And then I got off and then my best friend's beside me as well.
02:12So that was fine.
02:14And how many years of work went on this?
02:16Three.
02:17Three.
02:18Did you have any tough years or?
02:20No.
02:21No, you've reached for it.
02:22It was fine, I loved it.
02:24And what's the plan tonight?
02:26Are you taking a wee break or are you going to go through any work?
02:28I'm doing a masters in Belfast for marketing next year.
02:31I was going to do management but on the side of marketing there probably will be more than I've learned rather than just off textbooks.
02:39So, data, management and then post school for everything.
02:44And would you have any advice for students maybe coming into their first year?
02:48I'd say definitely live here for first year.
02:53Because I think I had such a better experience just living up.
02:56Because then I have like so many other friends not just from my course.
02:59And then even my friend Anne was behind the camera.
03:02Thanks.
03:03I met her in first year just from going out and stuff.
03:06Like I didn't, I wouldn't have been friends with her.
03:08I would have been alone or sitting in first year if I hadn't lived up my first year.
03:12And then actually speaking to people.
03:14I didn't think I was going to speak to people but it's just so much easier.
03:18Like finding friends and stuff.
03:20So if you can live up in first year but if you can.
03:23Especially in there.
03:24Spend more time up in there.
03:26Even though I'd never be up here.
03:28Do you have peace?
03:29And Beth.
03:30Away from Beth.
03:31I'm from there.
03:32Away from there.
03:33And where did you graduate today?
03:34I graduated from work in.
03:35And what was it like today walking across that stage?
03:38We've had an air fracking but once you're over there ended as work.
03:41So it's all good.
03:42And what was many years of work on this?
03:46I did two years in Belfast.
03:48Then I got my frightening year here in Derry.
03:50So three years of work was hard work.
03:52But it's all worth it.
03:53Was it a particularly hard year?
03:55Not really.
03:56I think Ulster is very helpful in everything they have to do.
03:58So I was never really struggling with the walls and the lecturers was there for me.
04:02And what's the plans like for you?
04:04Do you want to take a break or are you going through any work?
04:06So I actually got myself a wee job there a few weeks ago.
04:09So just kind of straight online to see what it's like and see where it takes me.
04:13And have you got any advice for first year school?
04:16Just to enjoy it really.
04:18Like as long as you enjoy it and try and do anything you're ready to do and enjoy it.
04:23So I didn't catch you today.
04:24My name's Hugh.
04:25And Hugh, you're a proud father today.
04:27I'm a proud parent.
04:28I've got the last, the youngest through uni now.
04:31So all good.
04:32Well done now.
04:33What was it like seeing her walk across the stage today?
04:35It was emotional.
04:36Her mum and me.
04:38It was good but she's put the hard work in and she's got herself a job out of it as well.
04:44So I'm very proud.
04:45Very proud.
04:46Very proud.
04:47Very proud.
04:48Very proud.
