00:18Magandang tanghali po, Commissioner June and Nasek Queng,
02:25Ms. Jennica,
02:26kung ano ba yung pinagmulan nitong Pinderella?
03:39Yung Sagada Pottery started in 2000 by Archie Stapleton.
03:43Archie Stapleton is a son of a missionary
03:45who grew up in Sagada in the 1960s.
03:49He became a professional potter in the US
03:51and came back in Sagada in 2000
03:53kasi familiar siya sa geographical condition ng area.
03:58So may mga local materials
04:00that is potentially good for pottery production.
04:05And itinayo niya ito
04:06para isang alternative livelihood para sa community
04:10kasi basically ang livelihood sa amin is farming
04:16and tourism came
04:18and then pottery became an alternative livelihood for the locality.
04:25And in relation to this,
04:27traditionally,
04:28yung jars or goosey out of pottery
04:32is very significant when we do rituals
04:37kasi we make rice wine,
04:39we ferment rice wine in those jars.
05:06We are inspiration for forming or for production
05:10or making our pieces.
05:13We relate it to our nature and our culture.
05:16For example, yung lizard na symbols
05:18and yung wising.
05:20Wising in our cordillera na symbol
05:23represents prosperity, fertility, and good luck.
05:28And lizard is long life and good luck also.
05:31And then we have here samples,
05:34yung mga designs ng woven fabrics namin.
05:39It has meanings.
05:41Yung mga matmata, yung mountains,
05:43na mga designs.
05:44We incorporate it in our pottery production.
05:59bilang kabuhayan o sining
06:01o meron pa po bang
06:03talagang nag-aaral pa rin ito?
06:08Unfortunately,
06:09as much as we want younger generation
06:12and yung locals to come and learn,
06:16mas yung younger generations ngayon,
06:18mas concentrated sila sa mga gadgets.
06:22And learning pottery is a very long process.
06:25It's a very, very tedious process.
06:27But the workshop or our studio, Sagada Pottery,
06:31is open for anyone from the locality
06:34or from the young generation to come and learn.
06:39So open po.
06:40We do a lot of demonstrations.
06:42We do a lot of hands-on
06:44for any visiting persons,
06:47even for tourists.
06:49And it's open.
06:51The pottery or the studio needs people
06:55to come and learn,
06:57especially the local people of Sagada
06:59and around its towns.
07:00Kaugnay naman dyan,
07:04ano para kaya,
07:04Attorney Raymond,
07:05paano naman isinasang-alang-alang ng DTI
07:08ang pagpapalakas ng indigenous crafts,
07:11local weeds,
07:12at heirloom food products
07:13ng Cordillera region?
07:14Kung the part ng DTI,
07:18Commissioner Jun and Asik Tueng,
07:20marami tayong interventions
07:22na ginagawa sa kanya.
07:23Through our programs
07:25and our activities and projects,
07:27we try to help our entrepreneurs,
07:31yung mga MSMEs natin.
07:33And just to name a few,
07:35siguro I would like to mention yung,
07:36like yung SSF
07:38or the Shared Service Facility.
07:41That's a program of DTI
07:42where we provide the necessary equipment,
07:45the machinery and the tools
07:46to scale up the production
07:48of our entrepreneurs.
07:50And we also have other programs
07:52like the KMME
07:53or the Kapatid Mentor Me program.
07:55It is a coaching and mentorship program
07:58that we also do.
08:01This is a program where we try to coach
08:04and mentor our MSMEs
08:05to help them
08:06in those important areas of businesses.
08:10and then marami po po
08:13ang iba, Commissioner,
08:14pero baka maubos na yung oras natin
08:16pag inumerate to pa lahat po
08:18yung mga interventions
08:19na ginagawa ng DTI.
08:21Sa iyo po ulit,
08:22Attorney Raymond,
08:24ilan po yung kabuoang kalahok
08:27o exhibitors
08:28ngayong taon
08:29tsaka may mga bagong produkto ba
08:31o negosyo pa kayong ipapakilala?
08:34For,
08:35bali po,
08:35itong impakabsat namin ngayon,
08:38this is actually the first of two.
08:39because we will be having another run
08:43this November.
08:46And for this month,
08:49it's actually the first
08:50or which we call it
08:52the mid-year edition.
08:54But the impakabsat
08:54have been happening
08:55for 33 years already
08:57since after the killer earthquake
09:00in Baguio City
09:01and nabuo po itong concept
09:02ng impakabsat.
09:03So marami po
09:05ang nag-participate ngayon
09:07ay nasa 28 na
09:10booth po tayo
09:12composed of
09:1334 MSMEs po.
09:15And may mga products po tayo doon
09:17mostly po na
09:18nakafocus tayo ngayon
09:19is mga
09:20mga wearables
09:22and home styles.
09:23Meron din po mga
09:24handicrafts doon.
09:25and
09:26like yung
09:27kay Ma'am Sigrid po
09:28itong mga patters
09:29and mga
09:30accessories din doon.
09:33Marami doon yung mga
09:34hand-woven products
09:35and some
09:36food products
09:37like I've said
09:38a while ago
09:39yung chocolate coffee
09:40and we also have
09:41some champorado
09:42there made of
09:43heirloom rice.
09:44And there were also
09:45other new products
09:47from our partners
09:49from the Department
09:49of Agriculture.
09:50May bahagi po ba
09:56sa event
09:57para sa
09:57pagbuo ng market
09:58linkages
09:59gaya ng
09:59B2B sessions
10:00o buyer matching?
10:02Ano po ang
10:02detali nito?
10:04We
10:05did not
10:07conduct
10:09any specific
10:09B2B event
10:10but then
10:11we have
