Jeff Bezos sold over 3.3 million Amazon shares for approximately $736.7 million, according to CNBC. The stock sale is part of a trading plan Bezos adopted in March to sell up to 25 million Amazon shares by May 29, 2026. Bezos has regularly sold company stock in recent years while remaining its largest individual shareholder. In February 2024, he adopted a trading plan to sell up to 50 million shares by the end of January. Bezos has said he sells about $1 billion in Amazon stock annually to fund his space company, Blue Origin. He has also donated shares to Day 1 Academies, his nonprofit preschool initiative. Bezos ranks third on Bloomberg’s Billionaires Index with a net worth of approximately $240 billion. He trails Elon Musk at $363 billion and Mark Zuckerberg at $260 billion.
