Donald Trump is trading jabs with Elon Musk again ... this time threatening to turn his former department against him as the SpaceX founder continues to trash DT's Big Beautiful Bill.
00:00Back to something that was going on last month and is now flared up again.
00:04What's old is new again.
00:05Elon Musk and Donald Trump, and it got heated as the debate was going on on the Senate floor about the spending bill.
00:15Elon Musk did not want this thing to pass. It has passed through the Senate now.
00:19Still a long way to go.
00:20Yeah, they still got to go back to the House.
00:23And then there's a reconciliation and who knows.
00:25Right. So Elon Musk was throwing out the threats to Republicans or anyone who was supporting this bill.
00:32Look at that.
00:35He's got great artwork for it.
00:37He says, anyone who campaigned on the promise of reducing spending but continues to vote on the biggest debt ceiling increase in history will see their face on this poster in the primary next year.
00:48He's threatening to primary people.
00:50He's saying it will be the last thing he will do.
00:53Yeah, and then you have Trump threatening the primary people.
00:55Guess who has more money?
00:57Well, Elon has the money.
00:58Right.
00:58But Trump has the party.
01:01Trump has the party, right?
01:02No.
01:03And so I don't know who ends up winning this.
01:06We won't know until the primaries come.
01:09But here is what President Trump had to say about Elon's threats.
01:16What happened to Elon Musk?
01:18Nothing.
01:19You know, he's upset he's that he's losing his EV mandate and he's very upset about things.
01:26But, you know, he could lose a lot more than that.
01:28I should tell you right now.
01:30Elon can lose a lot more than that.
01:36I don't know.
01:37I think we'll have to take a look.
01:39We might have to put Doge on Elon.
01:41You know, you know what Doge is?
01:44Doge is the monster that might have to go back and eat Elon.
01:47Wouldn't that be terrible?
01:49He threatens louder than anybody I've ever seen in politics.
01:53But he says it very calmly.
01:55Yeah.
01:55But it's a very serious threat.
01:57It's like, just so you know, we'll start looking at your businesses and the money that you're getting from the government.
02:02The reality is Donald Trump does not want to be in an argument with Elon Musk.
02:06I think this is something that he hoped would not kick up once again.
02:10It obviously has.
02:11I think if you're a politician right now, I think you align yourself with the president.
02:15One, I think he has more power, albeit less money, but more power than Elon Musk.
02:19And I think with the way Elon Musk's mind can change, I think you hope that by the time 2026 rolls around,
02:24that all of this third party and this primary people who, you know, voted for this bill, I think you hope that that subsides.
02:31Well, Elon Musk, after the president said that to reporters, Elon Musk jumped back on social media and said,
02:39so tempting to escalate this, so, so tempting, you know where he wants to go.
02:45Oh.
02:46But I will refrain for now.
02:48Hmm.
02:49Hmm.
02:50For now.
02:50You know what?
02:52Hi, this is Rhea, and I'm in Atlanta, and I'm just so excited to just get my point across about this.
02:57This whole thing is so performative and hypocritical.
03:00Elon Musk is the irony of him being so against government intervention, and his whole empire is built on the back of massive public funding.
03:12It's insane to me, but I like when they fight, because the more they fight, the more we learn.
03:19They both benefit a lot from a system that they claim to be so much against.
03:23But I will say this.
03:24Trump talks a lot about deportation and immigration, and it sounds like to me,
03:29whether Elon is legal or illegal, as an immigrant, he doesn't really like it.
03:35We're going to send you a TMZ t-shirt, because you just said something.
03:39You put in words, no, no, you just put something in words that I was struggling with, but you're so right.
03:46The more they fight, the more we learn.
03:49Yep.
03:50And it's really true, because those two were like this, and I think that you hit on something there.
