00:00Thank you. Thank you. What a wonderfully warm welcome. Just wanted to start by welcoming all
00:10of you to this wonderful event today where we talk about and reflect on and mark the second
00:14anniversary of the Homewards project. And I also want to start by welcoming His Royal Highness the
00:18Prince of Wales and the Right Honourable Gordon Brown for this discussion today. We want to start
00:22by talking about the power of partnership. I know we have so many very sort of critical Homewards
00:27partners in the room today. I've had the great privilege of accompanying His Royal Highness
00:32to several of the locations where partners have come together to achieve really remarkable
00:37results. And in that first year, it was all about the power of convening great people.
00:42Stephen, thank you. Partnership's been the key part of everything that Homewards stands for.
00:48I keep telling everyone, I told you two today, it's a team game. Nothing happens without us
00:53all working together and doing it properly. It's very difficult for government, it's difficult
00:57for business, it's difficult for charity sectors, partnerships, communities, whatever it is.
01:01Without the whole system gelled and working together, things won't happen as fast or as
01:06well as we'd like. And I think Lloyd's Banking Group, for instance, is one. I'm sure some of
01:11them are here today. Their ability to help lend and sort the finance out really makes a big
01:16difference to the playing field. And if we can de-risk some of these opportunities.
01:21So can I first of all congratulate Your Royal Highness and what has been achieved over these
01:26last two years? Because you've pioneered on the causes of homelessness, you've pioneered
01:32on prevention of homelessness, and you're now pioneering on partnerships to deal with homelessness.
01:37And I think that's a great achievement. You know, I've been around for a long time. I'm too old
01:40to be a British Prime Minister. Too young to be an American President, by the way.
01:46But seldom have I seen a charity start and be so successful within such a short period of
01:52time, and to galvanise so many people. So I do want to congratulate You.
01:56Once again, a big thank you to our guests.
02:10Thank you very much.
02:16Are they all coming in for a break now to finish them?
02:20Yes.
